Short monologue/advice from a YouTube video by Anwar White arguing that single mothers should separate dating/courtship from parenting: date as if you didn't have kids, use babysitters, avoid introducing children until exclusivity, and prioritize presenting as a woman rather than leading with a 'mom hat.'
Okay, Delissa said, Do single moms stand a chance? Girl? 100%.
A hundred percent. The interesting thing is that there's not.
Your courtship experience with guys should have nothing to do with your kids. You literally should be dating as if you didn't have kids. Obviously get babysitters and everything. But he doesn't need to. Like, he shouldn't be meeting them before you're in an exclusive relationship or anything. Anything like that.
So your experience literally needs to be in the same way that someone that is not a mother should be dating. And if that's not the case, then what I know is that you're leading with your mom hat and not your woman hat, and you need to shift your identity.
