I girl, a lot of the girls who are in my program that do that, at first I was like, it's probably a 50, 50 chance that they're gonna be together. No shade if she just literally gives him two more dates.
But y' all are conflating being in a boring relationship with having a boring life. You want to have a boring relationship. You don't want drama. You don't want back and forth. You just want to be loved and supported and accepted. That's it. And sometimes that can be really boring because you don't have to prove yourself to him. You don't have to strive for anything like you've done for most of your life, especially as a black woman. So if you get just to sit and be, it's like, now what? This is boring. I don't know what to do. I don't know how to chase him for love. I don't know how to prove myself. How do I get the A?
That's the weird thing. When you're with a really great guy, just coming to class gets you the A. And most of us don't even know how to. How to. How to comprehend that.
