A short YouTube monologue by dating coach Anwar White (14 years experience) arguing that how a man pays on a date signals his financial situation and relationship readiness. The speaker interprets payment methods—cash, specific credit-card brands, credit unions, fintech cards, and business cards—to infer traits like wealth, discipline, loyalty, or riskiness, and warns against men using certain banks/cards (e.g., Wells Fargo, Credit One, Chime). A cultural exception (Hispanic men carrying cash) and a caution about business cards signaling transactional relationships are noted.

Girl, how a guy pays for a date will tell you everything that you need to know about him. Now, as a dating coach for 14 years and as your fairy godbrother, I wanted to share with you what I have learned about how guys pay. Because at the end of the day, we're not here to date men that are building or men that need to build their credit scores. You need to be dating men that are already built. So I wanted to share with you what I have learned about how guys date and how they pay on dates. So when that bill comes and he starts paying with cash, girl, please understand, that's when I need you to twirl and twist your hair because he has you twisted. He is either single, married, AKA married, or he is into some illegal activity, AKA a drug dealer, or he is way too old to be with you. He probably forgot his gold bars at home. Now, there's one exception to this. If he's Hispanic, he's probably going to be having a load of a wad of cash, girl, because that's just how they roll. Now, girl, when he busts out one of these cards, girl, this is when you need to give, like the double hair tuck, because he got money. Yeah. So amex, Platinum and Gold. Gold over platinum, because you'll get more points that way. These are for the guys that are probably very disciplined in their financial pursuits as well as a bit bougie. Now, for the guys that are disciplined but aren't as bougie, you want to look for Chase Sapphire, either preferred or reserved, as well as Capital One Venture X. Now, if the bill comes and he pulls out one of these cards, it's just like a single hair tuck. Yeah. So Chase Freedom, any sort of Navy, Federal, usaa, any sort of credit union. Also Discover. Now, Discover is like a starter card, but they have really great customer service. So he must be really loyal. If he's doing Discover and then an Apple card, he's probably a tech bro, probably a gamer, and we love gamers when it comes to husbandry. Now, girl, if he pays with one of these cards, I need you to put your hair in a bun, get your pocketbook and run because he's probably going to ask you for an Uber home or some gas money. So anything with Wells Fargo out. Wells Fargo is racist, unethical and shady. Now, if it's a credit one, girl, you're not the one. You gotta go. If it's a chime card, you don't have the time. If it's a quicksilver, you gotta get out of there in a hurry, girl. Quick and in a hurry. Also, if it is a business card, please understand that that relationship is transactional. He's going to write it off because he's thinking that you're a jump off. Now why am I talking about these cards? I'm talking about these cards because if a man is not self actualized in his career and in his money, he will never be ready for a relationship. Now let me know your experience with these cards. I hope this helps.
