A short, informal YouTube monologue by Anwar White offering dating/social strategy for women at conferences—especially those attended by politicians and lawyers. Key advice: adopt a mindset that "they catch you," be visibly friendly and conversational with many people (which signals approachability), use daytime interactions to "plant the seed," and leverage evening events to "germinate" connections.

Just Jocelyn said, I'm going to a conference with a lot of politicians and lawyers. What's the move to catch one? Well, first of all, you don't catch men. They catch you. So this is a mindset shift. Yes. So what this looks like is that you need to be talking to a lot of different people all the time. You're here, you're here, you're here, you're here. When people, like in those sorts of situations, there's probably not going to be a lot of black people. When they see that you are friendly and that you have a lot of conversation with a lot of people, it will make them more willing and open to actually approach you and start talking to you.
A lot of the times these non black men don't approach you because they think that you're not checking for them or they, you're not open to having conversation with them. So even you just having a conversation with a ton of different men and women, but girl mostly went, mostly men will be helpful in having people come up to you. Don't be cute. Don't be a school girl for those conferences. It goes, girl, the daytime is where you, you, you plant the seed. Those nighttime parties and get together, girl.
