A short YouTube clip featuring dating coach Anwar (Anwar/Amar) White arguing that the future of dating will include "para romantic relationships": media creators functioning as romantic partners for media users. He ties current parasocial dynamics to broader social trends (singlehood rates among men and women), suggests this will evolve into AI-based romantic solutions (references: the film Her, Westworld), and predicts divergent futures for many men versus most women.
Pookie, it's our first trip together. I got you some food. I know you get stressed every time we travel. Look what I got you. Take a bite. You first.
Hi, guys. It's your girl, Pinkydoll. Yes, yes, yes. Ice cream. So good.
So if you want to know the future of dating and relationships, you don't need to look any further because it's happening right now. And these previous creators are a really good example of what that looks like. Like, so for those of you that don't know me, my name is Amar White. I'm a dating coach and I'm in this stuff all day, every day. And one of the things that I'm seeing a lot of, especially online, are these parasocial relationships. But when people talk about parasocial relationships, they're really talking about a media star and then a media user, right? But what I am wanting you to know and I'm calling it para romantic relationships, is where the media star is actually serving as a romantic interest for, for the media user. And this is what these creators do so well of this is happening right now. And it will continue to happen because guess what, Two thirds of men out there are pretty much single and only a third of women are single. So what's happening is that they are leaning to places beyond corn onlyfans, which I call onlyhands, and interacting with women and getting into these para romantic relationships. It's the future, right? I think that oftentimes this will translate into AI girlfriends and boyfriends. Think of the movie her. Think of the TV show Westworld. This is what the future of dating and relationships look like. I'm not here to make you sad. If that is a sad thought or if you want to poo poo the idea, you can. But please realize that 20, 30 years ago, people were poo pooing online dating and now it is commonplace. So that's what it's going to look like, unfortunately, in the next 10 to 20 years for many men, for some women, other women, most women will actually buy land and live on that land with their best girlfriends. Let me know what you think.
