Navy said. Any advice for ladies getting their PhD? Yes. Girl, when you're getting that doctorate in philosophy, girl, get a doctorate in these men as well. Honey, as you're writing your thesis, girl, I want you to be going out on dates as well.
And I say that in a more serious tone because we can get so hyper focused on one thing that we, like, totally have no skills or experience in another thing. And so, like, oftentimes, especially for black women, y' all have been, I think, conditioned or the message is, guys are going to, like, take focus away from your studies. Here's what I want you all to know. When you find the right relationship, that person, through the love, acceptance and support, will 10x your success in academia or in your professional careers.
So it's it's actually worth it to find your person.
