Dating coach Anwar White on why women "go with the flow" in relationships, tracing it to childhood conditioning and the need to trust yourself early in dating instead of deferring to what others want.
If you find yourself.
Going with the flow, that's because that's how you were raised. If you find yourself attracting these sorts of men, it is because we're still operating in our little girl selves that were just did what we were told by our mothers and fathers. Right.
So that's the work that I do as a dating coach, is to help you find and sit comfortably in your grown woman status.
Okay.
Raina said, you don't know how much you are helping us all around the world. I appreciate you so much, so welcome, girl.
We have to be able to trust ourselves. I'm hearing so often the ladies are like, yeah, you know, once I get to know someone, then I'll warm up to them.
Well, if you do that, girl, it's going to be too late. If you don't trust yourself enough to be vulnerable from the get go, you won't be able to evaluate whether this man has the emotional capacity or sensitivity to be a great partner for you. And if you're waiting for yourself to warm up to him and to trust him, it might be too late and you might already be sprung. That's the danger of not being able to trust yourself enough to be and have the emotional confidence to be vulnerable, to do these things, to put yourself out there.
