A brief transcript from a YouTube video by Anwar White contrasting two informal personality archetypes: "black cats" (people who dislike crowded social venues) and "golden retriever" men (cheerful, "go-lucky" types). The speaker explains that golden retriever men are typically found in places with people — sports bars, festivals, concerts — i.e., the social venues that black cats tend to dislike, which is why the two types often annoy each other.

Blah, blah. Said, how do black cats find golden retrievers? This is a really great question. And you have to understand that golden retriever guys are really happy. Go lucky. So, unfortunately, girl, all of the places that you hate, which probably means places with people in them, that's where the golden retrievers are going to be. So black cats generally hate places like sport. Like sport bars.
Festivals, concerts, things like that.
Yeah. So think about all of the places that you hate, and that's where the golden retrievers are gonna be. That's why the golden retrievers annoy you, because y' all are so different. Yeah. So.
But, girl, they're worth it. They're worth it. Yeah.
