Anwar White argues that Black men bashing Black women on podcasts often stems from hurt and emasculation tied to systemic racism and everyday indignities. When Black women expect emotional support, it can expose men's perceived inadequacies and trigger anger, though White doesn't excuse the disrespect.

Why are so many black men bashing Black women on these podcasts?
They're hurt, they're embarrassed, and they're lashing out.
Do you know in kindergarten, when.
Or in early grades when you. You like a girl, but they.
Don'T really give you the time of day or like, they make fun of you? A lot of these black men are actually doing this. They're acting out, and they're acting out because they're very hurt. They're hurt by their. Their life. It is humiliating.
Oftentimes to be a black man in. In the U.S. knowing that a random cop or a white woman can.
Say something, do something, kill you, and you can't do anything about.
Is a very emasculating experience.
And I'm sharing this with you because.
When everyone feels like they have power and control over you.
You are desperate to find some sort of solace.
And what's happening oftentimes is.
Black women need that solace, too. And Black women are expecting and demanding and requiring black men to be that for them.
And when they do that, it shows. It highlights a lot of the inadequacies that Black men are feeling on an everyday basis that they don't know what to do about.
And so.
They lash out and they get mad because.
You're not seeing me, you're not seeing my experience.
You're not seeing how hard this life is for me.
Right. Am I saying this to excuse some of the bullshittery that they do? No. But I do think that there is, like, a human element to their. To my experience as a black man too. Right. That and their experience as well. And so they lash out on these podcasts. That's what they're doing.
