A short YouTube monologue (Anwar White) advising women against sleeping with men too early. The speaker offers two psychosocial reasons (emotional unavailability or seeking approval) and advances a biological claim that men’s vasopressin decreases after sex, reducing bonding — concluding with a prescriptive caution to delay sexual intimacy.
Chia's mom said he wants to take things very slow, but I don't know how to stop hooking up, girl. Put a chastity belt on, girl.
Here's what I know. A lot of the girls that, like, sleep with men really early, one of two things is happening. Either they're emotionally unavailable. And so because they're not able to emotionally connect with a man, they physically connect with a man. Because as a human, we want to connect. So that's one or two. They think that, oh, my God, if I sleep with a man, he'll like me more. When in reality, when you sleep with a guy, he's gonna like you less. Not because, you know, I don't mean that in, like, a patriarchal, weird way. Literally. Biology tells us that the bonding pattern for a man, his vasopressin is really important, and when he sleeps with you, his vasopressin is decreased, and so he feels like he's not bonded to you as much.
That's why you don't want to sleep with him. I mean, do what you want, girl. I mean, a girl's got to eat. I get that. But I'm letting you know that when you do that.
You will chemically bond to men. And that's the scariest shit alive in love. And many of us know those girls.
