I don't care if you went to law school. Nobody wants to feel like they're at the end of an SVU episode, girl, and you're trying to get the truth out of them. You're not going to engender a level of trust, and people are not going to be opening up to you. That's the thing. A lot of people will go on dates and, like, ask some of these really deep questions without realizing that you haven't earned that trust and that level of emotional safety for a man to be able to allow him to answer that. So, actually, what y' all need to do on these first dates is you need to banter, have fun, be light. That is the quickest and easiest way to actually have a guy open up and to trust you.
