Peace, fam. DB Bedford here, the EI Guy, showing you how to leverage that emotional intelligence both personally and professionally. Listen, today I'm talking about being an EI day trader on this Throwback Thursday where we learn how to trade with logic and not emotion. Just want to give you a quick snapshot how I made $672 in 19 minutes. It's very hard for me not to share this, so if you're tired of seeing my videos, I apologize. I mean, when I know something that you don't know. And if you decide to learn it and get good at it, it will give you an opportunity to be able to earn additional income while you're doing whatever else that you're doing. And so to be able to pull $600+ out the market before 7 o'clock in the morning and then be able to get on about my business for the day is information that I feel like I have to share. So come on in, take a quick look. Let me show you how I did it. All right, good morning, ER Day Traders. It's Throwback Thursday, May 26th, and, uh, the market is open. And so it's about 6:37 and the market is on a bullish run and I'm able to take advantage of it. You know, I came into the market at, um, 11:988. It's at 12:025 right now. So the first thing I want to do is go scalp myself a few points so that I don't lose any money. And now I want to try to stay in this trade for as long as possible to benefit from this nice run that you see going on. It's well over, uh, 40 points right about now, so I'm going to at least grab half those points just in case the market decides to turn around. So I'm going to go ahead and go up, you know, somewhere. I'm just going to follow behind it and see how much of this I can capture on this run because, you know, the market is temperamental. It can go, uh, one way or another. So let's see, I'll go about right here. I'll stay about 20 points back to see what happened. It's, uh, 6:38 and I'm on the second candle. And again, one of the reasons why I grabbed this particular trade is because, um, you know, the MACD, uh, was— the MACD is up, uh, it crossed my resistance line. Looks like I might about to get stopped out. Okay, so that was a quick scalp right there. And let's see what happens. I got a quick $392. Uh, that happened from 6:35 to 6:39, so that's 4 minutes. As an EI day trader, like, the focus is to get in, get out, and get on about your business for the day. The goal is to be able to make quick scalps so that you can be free for the rest of the day. All right, and so, uh, there was an opportunity for a second trade and one I just couldn't pass up because when I looked back, you know, at the chart, I see that the, the market is still continuously going up well above the EMA. You see how much strength the MACD has. So I had to get back in and grab a couple more points. And so I'm going to go ahead and just scalp a little bit more and see if I— how long I can stay in this particular trade. I mean, we never know, but it's always good The point about day trading, or just understanding the stock market in general, is to be able to recognize opportunities but not be emotionally attached to the outcome. So even though this appears to be a good run, if it's not, that's okay. But I couldn't pass up the opportunity, right, to see, right? I had to at least check it out. And so now I'm in the trade at $6.53. There's some good momentum going up. I have opportunities to, you know, put some more points on the board. And that's basically what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna follow this trade as close as I possibly can, right? I'm gonna get what I can from the trade. The name of the game is to scalp your points before, you know, the market kind of turns around on you because we want to get in, get out, and get on about our business for the day. I don't want to be here all day, but at the same time, if I see an opportunity, I want to take it. So then I just got stopped out. And so here we go. So now we're up to $672 for the day. Now I'm definitely good for the day. I don't need to go back and see nothing else. And what I learned about, you know, this particular, you know, style of trading, right, you do not want to mess up your for sure trying to get some more. So that's 2 good trades for the day. I don't need to get anything else. And so for a total of getting into the market at 6:35 and now being out at 6:54, which is a little less than 20 minutes— it's 19 minutes. 19 minutes, $672. I took my first trade from 6:35 to 6:39, okay? And then the next trade happened at 6:47. Got back out at 6:54. So although I was sitting down for a total of 19 minutes, each trade did not take that long. The first trade only took— let's see, from 6:35, so the first trade only took 4 minutes. The second trade took about 7 minutes. So about 11 minutes of actual trading time for a total of $662. So when you see me talking about becoming an EIDay trader, When you see me sharing, uh, how I'm able to get in and out of the stock market, it is because I want to make sure that you understand that there's an opportunity. You hear all this conversation about the market going up and down, and that's true, but when you decide to develop a skill that allows you to recognize when to get in and when to get out, you can capture profits in the market as it's doing its thing.
