So when I say be positive on purpose, what I mean is that I want you to practice being positive with intention, right? That you wake up every day and that you intentionally do things in a positive manner. But what I'm not asking you to do is to practice toxic positivity. And toxic positivity is when you behave in a way as if negativity doesn't apply to you, as if you don't experience negative emotions. When you are having a negative moment, when you are feeling a certain kind of way, I want you to own it, right? The first element of emotional intelligence is self-awareness. So I want you to be aware of how you're feeling. But then I want you to logically handle that feeling, and there's a difference. So being positive on purpose means you're leading with intention, but toxic positivity is when you acting like everything is good and it's really not, and that can cause problems in the long run. And we see it happen time and time again. So there's no reason to fake the funk. There's no future in your fronting. Make sure that you are honest about the way that you are feeling and that you are real about the way that you handle it. Peace.
