If you're gonna respect anything in life, I need you to respect time. I need you to respect your time, and I need you to respect the time of others. Wasted time can never be recycled. You might can save time, but you can't buy time. Once this moment has passed, we cannot get it back. So when you make commitments to others and say, "Hey, I'm gonna call you at this time." I'm gonna meet you at this time. If for whatever reason that changes, you gotta give the common courtesy to allow people to unlock the space that they held for you so that you guys can enjoy or make the most out of each other's time. Now, of course, I'm guilty of this, but as I work on things, I like to share because I know if I'm working on something Somebody else might be working on something. So I like to share. If you start looking at time as something that you cannot get back, something that cannot be bought, right? Something that cannot be replaced, then— and understand, when you ask someone to make time for you, they are holding space for you for that period of time, which means, right, because if you're holding something— if I'm holding something in my hand, that means I can't put anything else in it. If I'm holding space for you, that means I am not holding space for something else. But if you're not going to make it, if you're not going to come through, if you're not going to call, then you should say that so a person can open their hands and let go of that and allow something else to come in so that we can keep this vibe going. So it's important for you to be responsible and respect time as it relates to yourself and others, because one of the fastest ways to get people emotionally charged is to feel like you're wasting their time.
