Has your mouth ever written a check that your behind couldn't cash? You know what I'm talking about. You was emotionally charged about something, and how you responded and how you acted cost you on the back end. If you understand where I'm coming from, if you can pick up what I'm putting down, I encourage you, strongly encourage you, to live by the law of intentionality. The law of intentionality would suggest that your emotional growth is not just going to happen. You're going to have to be intentional about it. And you know I'm telling the truth because you know that there's a lot of adult people who have childlike behavior and respond to things in a childish-like manner. But you think that because of their age and their experience that they should be more mature than that. But emotional maturity is not just going to happen by default. You're going to have to be intentional about how you process things you don't like, things you don't agree with. And that's why what I'm sharing with you is super duper important. So I say get started today. Somehow, some way, make your way into the emotional intelligence community and start practicing EI every day and everywhere you go and everything that you do. So that way you never let your emotions overpower your intelligence.
