Ei Day Traders

DB Bedford shows how he made $510 in 16 minutes day trading three contracts on Cyber Monday, using EMA and MACD indicators. He stresses emotional discipline and exiting after modest profits rather than chasing bigger gains, positioning day trading as a side hustle built on managing your own psychology.

Peace, fam. DB Bedford here, the EI Guy, bringing that emotional intelligence both personally and professionally. Happy Monday to you. I hope you had a smooth holiday weekend, you had a great Thanksgiving, but now it's time to get back to business. I am super excited about constantly reminding you about the ultimate side hustle. That's right, becoming an EI Day Trader is the ultimate side hustle. The reason why I coined this the ultimate side hustle Because as I teach this, I want to show you how to do this seamlessly while you are already in motion with whatever you got going on. And then as you get better at it, you can decide if you want to make it a full-time thing. But for right now, it doesn't take a lot of time. It just takes a specific skill to be able to execute at the right time in the right moment where you can add to your income. It's Cyber Monday right now, and there's millions and And millions of transactions going on right now, including in the stock market. With all those transactions going on, I just want to show you how I got a little bit of crumbs off the pie by grabbing $510 in 16 minutes, which works for me for the day because it happened before 7:00 AM. And you know that happens before most people had a chance to brush their teeth, had their coffee, got in traffic, had breakfast. I mean, that's what I love about this. And with this type of knowledge, you are able to add more value to your household by simply developing this skill. So come in real quick, let me show you how I pulled this caper off. All right, good morning. It's about 6:43 in the morning and I am into my first trade. So right now we're at 2263, so I'm gonna go ahead and scalp my first couple of points. I'm gonna go ahead and go down to maybe 26— I'm gonna go to 22657, get the first 2 points of the day. And as soon as I got those 2 points, I got scalped out, stopped out. And so that's gonna get us, uh, $210, uh, I was trading— let's go to the activity— 3 contracts. That was 2267 down to 2265, so about a point and a half. Okay, and so I hopped right back in at, uh, 2260. I anticipate this probably pushing down some more, so we're gonna see if we can scalp a couple more points. And now it's about 6:46. As you can see, it is pushing. It's not having a hard push, but it is on its way down. The gravity, it seems to be in my favor. The EMA is starting to push its way down. All the indicators, the MACD is pushing down. I always talk about the most important part of trading is your emotions in the middle of the trade. So we're in the middle of the trade and we, you know, you have to be patient and give the trade time to do what it do. The challenging part is holding your nerves together because you always, of course, you know, have the fear of it turning around from the direction that you entered into the trade. And as you become more comfortable with trading, you start to understand that, listen, I can't be fearful, right, of it going another direction. I have to just be in the trade and let it do what it do. And if it turns around, then I was just wrong. I'll get back in. And so right now I'm going to go ahead and try to scalp a few points. I came in at 2260. I'm gonna try to go down to 2259.9, just get that one point real quick, just because I do see it starting to turn around. So I do want to get my point, uh, and that's why we are scalpers. We do our best to scalp points, um, as, as soon as we see them. Uh, a lot of time we want to try to give the trade time to mature, but if it doesn't, then we just want to kind of get in and get our quick Profits, because we understand that the market is very temperamental and it will not continue to go in either direction for, you know, forever. And so that's where the scalping comes in at. And so right now there's an opportunity for me to get another point. So I'm gonna go ahead and go down to 20, up to 58.90. So basically I came in at 2260.9, and so I'm trying to keep my points even. So now I'm at 2258.9. And I'm just going to continue to watch as this market goes down. I've already got a couple of points for the day, so if it stops me out like it just did on the reverse, we'll see where we're at. We go to positions and that's $510. So let's go to the activity. I got into the first trade at 6:35, got out at 6:44, got back into another trade At 6:45 and got out at 6:51. So essentially, I've been at the computer from 6:35 to 6:51, and I got $510. How did I do it? Well, I noticed that the trend was going down. As you can see, it's, it's still pushing down, and so there's an opportunity to get back in. Uh, I may have got stopped out too soon, but you know, this is one of those things where you have to decide. I like to say, uh, don't mess up your for-show money trying to get some more money. And so for me, I'm gonna take my $510 and I'm gonna call it a day. So basically, there you have it. So the $510 in about 16 minutes, you know, I got into the trade at 6:35 and I was out of the trades by 6:51. Now there's a lot more money to be made, and you can make way more money in any given day, but as a Ei Day Trader, what I'm practicing is being disciplined, is not messing off my for-show money trying to get some more money. Now it's going to be different for everyone. I am just content with before 7 o'clock getting $500, and I'm not going to worry about what else is happening in the market. And to me, that's how you start off getting good at this. Now you can always get more contracts and you can always stay longer, but I think that that comes as you get more comfortable with the trading. A lot of the days where I've had losing days, it comes from me constantly trying to get more money out of the market instead of being satisfied with the win. And the goal is to win. And as you continue to get momentum with winning, then you can be a little bit more riskier and take more trades. But for now, I'm going to show you guys how to quickly identify when there's an opportunity to get in, grab you some, and get out the way. And how much you take will be on you. Today I traded 3 contracts at $50 a pop. So that means that I roughly got about 3.5 points out of that trade, and I did it in 16 minutes, and I'm okay with that. So I'm looking forward to teaching you this skill. Those of you that's already in and paid, you're going to get access to the training before January. Those of you just, just on the waiting list, you'll get the full training in January. But I am excited for those of you that want to embark on this mission to pick up a skill, to learn a skill that you can leverage wherever you are and for the rest of your life. I call this the ultimate side hustle because I want this to be something you start off doing on the side, something that you add to the things that you're already doing. And you can— as you can see, it won't take up a lot of your time if you're able to identify the right spaces to get into the market. So 16 minutes of your time should not interfere with what you have going on already. And an extra $500 for the day should add value and make you feel better about stepping into the day. And that's the benefits of becoming an EI Day Trader. Looking forward to seeing you guys in the 5-day trading challenge. If you haven't signed up and got on our early bird waiting list, it's time to do it. It is going to close soon. Just make sure that you tap in and share this with anybody that you know that could benefit from developing a skill that they can leverage emotional intelligence into the financial markets. Because here's our motto: get in, get out, and get on about your business for the day.
