Peace fam, DB Bedford here, the EI guy, bringing that emotional intelligence both personally and professionally. Although I got my bullish shirt on today, I caught a bearish profit, and that means that I thought the market might have been going up, it turned around and went down. But like I said, as an EI day trader, I don't really care which direction to go. I just want to get in where I fit in. So I want to show you real quick how I got $500, and the key to this type of trading is being confident of what you know and then executing on it. And listen, the emotional intelligence part is not being emotionally attached to the outcome, whether you're profitable or not. They say, right, the market owes you nothing. You just have to be observant and patient. And when you notice which direction it's going, you just jump along for the ride. And it's a very simple and straightforward way to add additional income to your lifestyle. That's why I call it the ultimate side hustle. Come on in, take a look real quick. All right, good morning. It's 6:37 in the morning and, uh, I'm already into a trade and, uh, I'm only trading one contract this morning. But as you can see, there's a nice sell-off happening this morning. And so I got in at 2170, um, it's now at 2151. And so I'm gonna come down a few points, just trying to trail behind this trade. And capture as much as possible. I tried to trade like 4 o'clock this morning, and again, uh, doing something I know I'm not supposed to do. And so you look up here how small these candles are and the wicks there, and I went against my own particular trading plan and tried to anticipate the market movement without confirmation. You know, we always want to get confirmation of which direction the market is going. So that was the stop out, meaning the market reversed a little bit. So I was still able to capture $500, and that happened from 6:31 to 6:39. So in 8 minutes, I was still able to capture $500, even though here I was down $375. So had I not given this up in the morning, which I normally don't trade overnight, um, then it would have been about $800-something, but I was only trading one contract. Now if I was trading my normal contracts, that would have been about $2,000. And the reason why I'm not trading, uh, my 4 contracts, because the margin requirements are very high right now. And so I'm just kind of playing a little bit more conservative. It's a little expensive to trade based on the volatility in the market. And so again, this happened on the, uh, first candle, 6:30 candle, is when I started to get in. And as you can see, uh, the market is still kind of pushing down, but you know how we do it. I ain't gonna mess off my for sure trying to get I'm gonna go ahead and go log that in and start my week off with the $500.
So, you know, it's important what we do from here is that we gotta go make sure we log in, right? What we didn't did. And that to me is what makes it real and it makes you stay focused. It's important to keep your, you know, your stuff logged. So, you know, I always tell myself I'm a consistently profitable trader. Uh, you see in week 1, uh, we started on Wednesday And now we starting here on Monday, so I'm gonna go ahead and put that in, right? And then as I— as the months go by, I put them over here. You see there's a little red there, whatever, like it's not always green, but this is how you keep yourself in this mindset that of being a consistently profitable trader. And again, I only share this, the numbers, as a realistic approach to to adding additional income to your everyday life. You could do it in a short period of time if you play your cards right.
So there you have it. We knocked down $500 in 8 minutes simply by being able to wait for the market to do what it do, and then we ride along. We don't disagree with the market. Whatever direction it's going, that's where we're going. And when it decides to change its mind, we get out the way, you know. And that's the model, right? We get in, Get out and get on about our business for the day. Listen, the early bird enrollment is about to end.
