So I just had a funny little, um, scenario that I like to share where I know that I was about to let my feelings get in the way of facts. So I pulled up to the car wash where I've been coming here for years, but it's under new ownership. Pulled up, and make a long story short, there's a couple of things I needed to get done, and, um, I was asking the guy, uh, was there any deal he could work out, right? Shampoo my seats, mats, you know, it was a couple of things. And, uh, the way he said no, the way he was like, I don't have nothing for you, it is what it is, I kind of got in my feelings a little bit. And I know what it was because I've been coming here for years, but this is new ownership, so they don't know nothing about all that. And I know that I like to give people deals, and so I was projecting. And so I re— it was a moment where I was about to be like Never mind, man, I'll go somewhere else. I was going to throw like a little temper tantrum, um, but I stayed and flowed through it and paid the man what he asked for. But that moment in time, I was ready to make a decision because I was in my feelings not to even get the service at all, all because he was standing on business. When I talk about civility, when I talk about managing your emotions, I like to just point out like just those micro moments, those little moments Where you can let a— let your emotions override the decision that you know you need to make, which is I needed my truck washed, it was dirty. But in that moment, I was almost willing to go look for somebody else because he wouldn't give me a deal that he didn't have to. Have you ever made a decision because you didn't get your way, so you decided to do something else, but you know you still needed the thing? I don't know. Civility intelligence, it's a real thing for real people in real situations.
