Happy Wednesday, DB Bedford here, the EI Guy. You know, my thing is to make sure that you never let your emotions overpower your intelligence. And one of the things I can appreciate about emotional intelligence is that it shows up in all areas of your life. Today I want to share with you how it showed up in the stock market and how in 4 minutes I was able to make $460. And if you don't see the relevance in that, if you don't think that's a big deal, do me a favor, set your timer on your phone right now for 4 minutes. And within 4 minutes, I want you to think of all of the ways that you can make money within that period of time. And if you haven't come up with a way to do it, then it's worth taking a look at becoming an EI day trader. Let me show you how I pulled this caper off on this Wednesday morning. All right, good morning everybody. Happy Wednesday. It's about 6:38 in the morning and I have jumped in on this bull run that's off the second candle, the 6:35 candle. And so I— right now it's about $2,003. I jumped in at $1,998, already scalped one point. So, you know, I'm just going to go ahead and scalp a couple more points because the market is very volatile and we just don't know when it's going to turn around. So we gotta try to get as many points as we can because this thing is real, real shady, you know. So I won't take a lot of trades today because even when the market is going a particular direction, it's doing a lot of back and forth, back and forth. But, you know, the power of being an EI day trader is being able to recognize When you have those market movements and being able to get in, get out, and get on about your business for the day. Because, you know, with the war going on, the economy tripping, like, there's just a lot of volatility, which means there's just a lot of quick change in prices. So when you think something is going one way, it'll turn around and go the other way really quick. I'm gonna go ahead and scout one more point while I got a chance. I'm gonna go to 2002. Why that said 2004? You know, actually, I'm gonna go to 2003. I'm trying to stay behind a little bit. You see how quick it's coming down to 3? So I'm gonna come back just a little bit to see if I can stay in this trade, right? Oh, see, I got rejected. So now I got to go ahead and just go ahead and close out the trade. So I'm gonna go ahead and cancel the order, close position, and I'm just gonna go ahead and take what I got right there just because things are just too, you know, shady. So that's a quick $460 right there. Um, I could have— I wanted to stay in because I see where this is going going right here. But again, you know, things are just a little, you know, too, uh, volatile for me right now. But I wanted to manage that trade better. But you see how it quickly is starting to turn around, and that's why I just went on and got out. So I just took my time and scalped 4+ points from 635 to 639, gave me a quick $460. You know, even though the market is probably going to make its way up for a second, I'm gonna go ahead and fold just because It's been tough to get points, and I'm gonna take what I got and I'll come back tomorrow. And that's the, that's the benefit of becoming an EID trader. So that's the impact of market volatility, right? How is things just kind of just fluctuating, kind of unpredictable, all in a moment's notice? I mean, the market is already unpredictable, but when you have the things that we have going on right now with the war and the economy, it just can get a little janky. So I had to just get on, get up out of there real quick, but I'm not mad. 4 minutes, $460. But the takeaway here is that being an EI day trader, just learning how to day trade period, gives you the opportunity to recognize when those times are where you can pull some money out the market and go on about your business about the day. And it doesn't matter whether the market is going up or going down. All you have to do is pick your good entry points and exit points, and you can continuously make money in the market.
