Derek Bedford shares how he got a second chance and now mentors others through his "I Never Worry" class. Participants say it teaches emotional intelligence and self-awareness that helps individuals, teams, and corporate leaders communicate better and handle conflict.
Well, Derek's story is the most remarkable story ever.
We are responsible for the energy we bring to any situation. You don't want to judge people, right, by the chapter of their life that you walked in on. When you give people an opportunity to express themselves in their own will, you'll learn more. People are your greatest resource. My name is Derek Bedford. Most people refer to me as DB.
A young man who was given a second chance himself and is now doing the same for others. Thank you, DB, very much.
It was lovely. It really applied to my loved ones.
This class, it did help me kind of bring down myself. I feel it was a help to me and the rest of the team.
Corporate CEOs and COOs, managers, directors should participate in the I Never Worry class. The class is very beneficial.
What is this guy trying to teach me that I don't already know, right? I just want to share through my personal and professional experiences to help you better manage your emotions and to be able to skillfully respond to the emotions of others. So let's talk a little bit about emotional intelligence. So when you talk about patience, you're in a relationship, pay attention to how you treat people. Don't go around life creating your own storm. When things are certainly sometimes not going right for you, when do you sit back and say, what am I doing to contribute to that? The first part of it is self-awareness. The goal is to always have positive outcomes in our communication. So you want to make sure that you manage those relationships. And so the next time you're having that difficult conversation, right, and things are not going the way that you want them to go, I want you to pause for a second and say, you have just moved yourself into being an emotionally intelligent person. Thank you.
