I created Food and Spirit in the year 2000, and it had come after some personal revelations as well as what I would call pattern recognition. I started to see certain patterns in people and noticed that if I took the Eastern orientation to health and wellness and merged that with what I knew about Western nutritional medicine, that I'd have a more complete picture that I can actually help people better to be well, and not just well, but really optimally radiant, diving into their potential. So when I uncovered this pattern and put together the seven systems of health, many people were asking me to teach it and to actually help them help other people. That's when I put together the Certified Food and Spirit Practitioner program and launched that in 2013. It's been a fabulous experience to have many different practitioners going through the program. Everybody from acupuncturists to health coaches, nutritionists, medical doctors, nurse practitioners, yoga practitioners. It's really gratifying to see the diversity of practitioners coming together within one collective, and that collective is what will revolutionize the future.
