I Heart Money Certification Students

Amazing. Welcome, ladies. This is Courtney Cox and Natalie Fox. That you guys are amazing. They are long time, I heart my life students. They've done a lot of programs with me, which I'm so grateful for. And they were in the first cohort of the I Heart Money certification. So, Courtney, would you introduce yourself and just talk a little bit about why you decided to jump into the certification in the first place?

Yes. Thanks, guys, for having.

I joined I Heart Money coaching program because I had personally. Well, I have. I'm an esthetician by trade, but I also have quite an extensive background in finance. However, I really struggled with the money mindset area. And I had taken Emily's program before the money mindset course, just not the coaching certificate. And it helped me so much. And so when this opportunity came, I felt I as an esthetician, I also developed a company where we provide advanced continuing education for beauty professionals and massage therapists. And I just knew this is definitely an area. I mean, let's face it, most of our world has financial issues and money mindset issues, but even more so in such a creative field, you know, it's something we're just not really taught. And so it just really spoke to me as something that I could in turn help my industry with because I feel like so many times we can be amazing at, like, the physical job that we do, but if you don't have your finances and your money mindset, you know, healed and the knowledge that I feel like you will just burn out and hold yourself back. And I feel also like incorporating this program will not only help them, but then also help recognize when they're trying to talk to clients about maybe a, you know, buying array of skin care products or a specialized treatment that's maybe more expensive. And then, you know, that money mindset comes into their mind too. And so even just talking to your clients about their mindset issues around what's best for them.

So amazing. Thank you, Courtney. And I'll circle back to you. How about you, Natalie? What was your reason for signing up?

I've been in this work since 2016. I think is when I first found Jim Lee. And I was actually, I've always been a multi passionate entrepreneur and I had a 9 to 5 at the same time. So as a result of this work money mindset, I was actually able to walk away from my 9 to 5 and be an entrepreneur full time. And so when the opportunity to learn your method came up, I mean, it was a guttural yes for me. I have, I'm a Digital marketing strategist. And I work with clients. And as a result of the certification, I really find that now. And I can see in the past how people have conversations about the things I want to help them with. And now I recognize that it's. It's, oh, they have this limiting belief. Oh, it's this scarcity thing coming up. And so as a result of certification, I have the tools now to really help them through that. And I was really excited when I signed up to use the certification in my current business because I, by certification, by trade, have not done any kind of coaching certification up until now. So I wasn't a coach coming into this work.

Thank you for sharing that. Yeah. And I wanted to highlight the two of you because you are coming from different places, Right. With your background, Courtney, as an esthetician, doing that continuous continuing education work for all of your incredible students. And then weaving this in. And then Natalie, engineer, brain digital marketing strategist. Never been certified. Not a coach, but feeling that call to do something different and to weave this into your work because you've seen such a huge difference in your own life when you've integrated this personally. So can you talk, Courtney, a little bit about any of the results that you experienced or any of the shifts, just anything you want to highlight from being a part of the certification and then also specifically how you're going to use this? I know you already mentioned a little bit, but any more specifics around how you're going to use this going forward?

Of course. Thank you. So I am having my first round in January. We're going to have, like a group session, so we'll be covering some just regular financial basics because I don't want people lost on the practical, you know, basics of money. And then we'll be diving into them money mindset program. I think for myself, I just feel like I'm excited to reiterate to people. It's kind of. To me, I talk about it like an onion. Like, I personally had already taken your course, and then, you know, during it, we took it again for the certification, and it was just really shocking to me. I thought I had already done the work, but it's like an onion, you just keep, you know, unraveling more and more. And.

I'm just excited to provide those tools for people because I know that things just pop up and it's kind of like it's something that you recognize quicker and know how to deal with as it pops up. And one thing I just had the other day is, you know, I Am guilty to a fault. I think part of it's the midwestern work ethic in me that we just figure it out ourselves. We don't need help. And I messaged Emily the other day because I was like, I don't know why I keep putting off hiring some help. So I put in a call. And so that's a mindset thing, right? It's I can do it myself. And part of it is because there's costs involved. And so I'm like, why am I doing this? I'm holding myself back from doing a lot of the work that matters the most by having to do just simple tasks that I can have someone else help me with. So for me, that was a huge shift. And I hope that that showing that to other people and then also just, you know, working through their mindset shifts as they go through will be really helpful, showing them that like you can get help. We don't have to do all the things whether, you know, for a technician, a professional, it might be like having someone do your laundry because it takes hours to do the laundry we do. You know, I do more work laundry than personal laundry, you know, or someone cleaning your space or someone handling your marketing or, you know, there's all kinds of things that we can pass off. So we're doing our work of genius and a lot of times we think we have to do it all, which I attribute to a lot of money.

Right.

It's the abundance of money or time. So we got to trade one for the other and make it math. So it makes more sense for us to hire a little bit of help so we can do what we're best at.

Thank you for sharing that. Yeah, so good. And how about you, Natalie? Are you able to share a little bit about your results from the certification and also your desires and plans for integrating this into your work?

Yeah, I'm actually working right now to grow my certification as its own business, so I'm using it in digital marketing strategy currently. I also multi passionate entrepreneur here have started.

Advertising, marketing the money mindset certification as its own business for myself. And I have a little bit of interest and that's great. I'm talking to people. I'm gonna do some things coming up here and release a program and have. I'm more interested in working with people one on one because I haven't done a lot of coaching before. And so I have a couple people who are interested and I'm going to work on getting them into the program here in the next couple of months. And Starting fresh in the new year with that. I think the thing that comes to my mind that's important for me to communicate to people who are considering doing this is just like, if you're coming into this and you kind of don't know where you can integrate it and where it would best suit you, but you have. You. You can see it, maybe have a little bit of a vision for it, you know? Emily, Megan, you guys have been so phenomenal in working with us and the group of ladies who came through the program. I mean, everything from, like, no questions, off the board. The program is set up in such a way that, like, even myself, who wasn't a coach coming into this, I really felt like I could come with any question. I could fumble through it. I mean, I failed through learning to coach.

No, you were amazing.

I appreciate that. It was just very, like, the whole environment is set up for your success. The tools, the work that Emily has you do, the calls that you get on. I mean, there wasn't a day where I didn't look forward to coming into the program and then also leave excited to continue the work. And so I just. I think that if you have any hesitation, like, there is no reason to have any hesitation. Because, Emily, the way that you teach, the way that you show up, the program itself, even. In fact, just the other day, I was thinking, Megan, you came to mind, because I was like, oh, I wanted to do something, and I wanted to market a different way. And I remember Megan said something, and so I went back to the Google Drive and I was looking through things, and I found some stuff, and it was so helpful, and it continues to be so helpful. And I just think that what you have here is such a special certification for people. Like you said, there's nothing else there like it. And you have an opportunity to, like, get in now while no one else has this. I mean, there's eight of us, right? And so, like, be nine. So I just think that this is such an amazing opportunity, and it has been such a gift. And the last thing I'll say, it's. It's been a gift both in my business, but personally, like, I have friends reaching out who are like, hey. And so I love being able to help them, too. So it's just. I mean, the things that you learn, they just. They stretch so far and so wide and so deep. I just. I can't remember not having the certification, so it's been fabulous.

Thank you for sharing that. Yeah. And just to reiterate what Natalie's Saying, you know, even if you're not a coach or you don't have that side of your business set up, you're probably already talking about money in some capacity, whether it's with your clients or friends or other relationships. And this is a way to really deepen that knowledge and to set yourself apart from as an expert and somebody with a tool and a skill set that most of the world doesn't have. Megan, did you want to circle back on anything that they said or share anything else?

You know, look, if you're listening to this and you, you have an existing coaching business, I think one of the, one of the parts of teaching people to go out and take action that can become really frustrating for us as coaches is deep down we all know that the number one reason why our clients don't go out and take the action, it's all their pre programmed subconscious beliefs. And again, I think this is just such a beautiful integration in marriage with the work that you might already be doing.

Because if you, if you, if you want your clients to get results, we've got to go to the subconscious. And that's exactly what Emily's teaching you to do. And I, again, it was Courtney who was talking about, you know, those kind of beliefs from the Midwest and work ethic and doing it all yourself. I mean, that's going to play out for your clients and it's going to play out in a way where they're not actually going to get the full result that they came to get because that's a mindset issue, that's a belief issue, that's an identity issue. And so the work that Emily is doing here is with the certification is really, you know, both of these women said, you know, it was for my own personal development just as much as I'm now equipped to be able to help other people navigate that process in their own lives.

Like I do not feel like I am lacking, you know, I could be where in some programs you might get like the meat and potatoes if you will, but not the marketing and the sales aspect. But like the duo of you two together really covered it all and continue to support, you know, like you, you're open to like what questions? Did we miss anything? And I honestly had nothing to say I missed something or, you know, I feel like you really covered it all and set us up for success. The only thing we have to do is put it into action. So it's been given. It feels like such a gift because for me, this has been like something that has been calling me for a long time.
