Founders should spend most of their time on three things: marketing and outreach to generate leads, building a disciplined sales process from demo to close, and blocking weekly time to work on strategy instead of just in the business.

From a strategic perspective, I want you to put most of your time, most of your effort in 3 things. One is marketing, getting the word out, networking, being out there, sending emails, following up, all of that. Then obviously once you have some traction, once you're hearing back from your leads, there's a sales process, the sales lifecycle. You have to nurture the lead. You have to educate them. You have to present, do a demo. You have to understand the objections, get used to the rejections. Send a proposal, close the proposal, deliver the service. And then there has to be a time every week where you unplug from the day-to-day, all the hustle, all the things you have to do, and then work on the business. Take some time once a week, an hour a week where you can step away and focus on the business.
