Collecting Books and CDs

Here's a real-life story about commitment issues. There used to be a student who wanted to learn Japanese. He collected every book, every CD, he signed up for every course, and downloaded every app. But years passed and this guy never learned anything. His old Japanese teacher once visited his house and the student showed him his library where he had tens of books on learning Japanese. The student asked, Professor, which book do you think is the best? The teacher replied, any book you commit to. The student had bought all these books but never managed to stick to any one of them, and as a result, never learned anything.
