Consultants operate in three lanes: DIY, DWI, or DFY. Each affects your earnings, freedom, workload, and the clients you attract. Most consultants don't know which lane they're actually in.
The most important piece of information you need to know is— The lane you choose, DIY lane, the DWY lane, the DFY lane, the lane you choose doesn't just decide how much you earn. It decides how much freedom you have, how heavy your workload feels and is, and the type of clients you'll end up attracting. And many consultants don't even realize what lane they're in.
