Praise from friends and family feels good but doesn't prove people will buy your product. Real demand comes from your actual target market, not from people biased in your favor.

Praise from friends and family feels good but doesn't prove people will buy your product. Real demand comes from your actual target market, not from people biased in your favor.
When you go to former colleagues or friends or family members and they say that sounds valuable, you might feel good about it, but that is, that's biased. It's not demand. It's not a strong signal from the market. It's an encouragement. Maybe take it as such, but leave it there. Encouragement feels good, but it does not create demand. And it could be misleading because now you feel good about it and you continue building, going the wrong path. So demand, real demand has to come from the market and has to come from people who are likely to buy your service.
