They say if you sell to everyone, you sell to no one. So you have to niche. But when you're starting out, you don't need to overcomplicate niching. Identify a reasonably specific audience, but let the market help you refine it. In other words, allow real conversations, real feedback, and real traction to shape your niche. That's how you discover where the true demand lies. Target market or target audience. Target market is related to niche, but it focuses on the portion of the overall market that your consulting services are intended for rather than the services themselves. ICP or ideal client profile is like target market and niche, but considered from more of an individual perspective and probably a bit more specific.
