My Experience Hiring College Graduates

We had an opening. I had 8 candidates submit their resumes, looked great on paper, but when we got them on the phone, on the Zoom, a lot of them were very nervous. They were very intimidated. So for business owners, if you're hiring those who are fresh out of college, know that they don't have tens of years of experience. So don't ask them about how many years of experience do you have? Look for skills, for talent, for a project where they've shown initiatives. See how they worked in a team. Those are the important things to look for from someone who's out of college. So make that interviewing environment a bit friendly, maybe joke with them about something. Remember, you know, tell them about your first interview and how you were nervous. Let them feel comfortable so they can express themselves.
