Stop scrolling. Many business owners face this dilemma. They get leads for non-core services. What do I mean? Say you provide logo design services and you get leads for website development, for e-commerce websites, or maybe for social media marketing. Should you take those leads on? Because you have a friend who can help you out with the e-commerce development, you have a friend who can help you with social media, and they can get that job worked for you, and then you add a markup on it and you make a buck. My recommendation in most cases is to fight the temptation and say no to these leads because I want you to focus on your core competency. I want you to be proficient. I want you to work towards mastery of your domain, of your area of service. One thing you can do with these non-core service leads is you can pass them on to a trusted partner. They might get you a referral fee for those leads. So you still make a buck, but you're focused on your core area of competency and you're becoming a master at it. And then you charge a premium and you make a lot of money and then you can expand your service.
