My side hustle and my 9-to-5 job make the same income. Should I take the risk and quit my 9-to-5 job? So you're telling me that your side hustle and your 9-to-5 job make the same money, and now you're asking if you should take the risk and quit your 9-to-5 job? I used to always say take the leap, but after seeing the struggles of entrepreneurs, the fatigue, and the realities that they face, I've changed my perspective, and my answer is now more nuanced. If you value stability, a steady paycheck, the benefits, the 2 or 3-week vacation, then probably staying in your current job is the right choice for you. But keep in mind that your income will plateau and it will probably cap out in your mid-40s. Now, on the other hand, if you want to reinvent yourself and learn how to take calculated risks, that is dealing with uncertainties, and you want to build something that you'll be proud of and also impact lives and make some serious money, then quit your 9-to-5 job and take the leap.
