Feras Alhlou tells founders to stop treating business ideas like babies. Validate your idea with customers and paying users, not defensiveness about feedback. Your idea is a hypothesis to test, not something to protect.
Chapters
A lot of founders, they love this idea. They think their idea is the best thing since butter and sliced bread. So now you are very defensive when someone is giving you feedback. If you're in love with this idea, you're not looking for ways to improve it. As I always say, think of your business idea as a hypothesis that you want to validate, that you want to verify, that you want to prove, and not as your baby. Your idea is a hypothesis. It's not your baby. You want to poke holes in your idea. You, of course, you have passion for it. You love it. You put a lot of time and energy into your idea, but it's still an idea until people are paying you for it, until you have willing wallets, and it is an idea.
