Here are 4 guidelines on when and whether you should hire or not. Number 1, you must know all aspects of your business before you go out and hire someone. You cannot discern if you have a good candidate or not if you don't have a general understanding of the area that you're hiring in. Number 2, identify your strength. Know what you excel at and what you struggle with and hire for the areas that you struggle with. And number 3, budget. Have you set aside enough money for this hire and can you sustain it for a few months in case revenue is delayed? And number 4, time. If you're spending a lot of your time on one area of the business and you need help in other areas, it might be the time to make that hire.
