Feras Alhlou explains why effort alone doesn't create results. Set clear targets and OKRs, track progress monthly in a simple spreadsheet, and cut tasks that don't move you toward your goals.
How do I realize I was wasting time on the wrong tasks? You have to set some targets, put objectives, and then key results. Review it at the end of every month and readjust, realign. And it's really easy to track. It could be a Google Sheet. You don't need any fancy software. So benchmark against a plan, against targets, and see if you're making progress or not. If you're not making progress, examine why. Put effort and time in other tasks that you haven't been doing and avoid the tasks that are not helping you get closer to your goals.
