We don't give a shit how we look. We're here to complete brothers, not to compete with brothers, but lift another man up.
The name of this podcast alone triggers most Christians, and so you think those Christians are going to be having these types of conversations? They're struggling with the same struggles, but they're definitely not having these conversations, bro. Abundance is just being honest is like, literally what I'm realizing.
God loves God, money, and women. And I heard that from another person that he said that. And, you know, I do love God, money, and women, but her looks will allow her to stay in the. In the game longer than it would for any other girl.
Give a little bit more flexibility.
It. It will, bro.
I love the Lord and I love people that need the Lord.
I'm just tired of being fake. And if I gotta be fake and I can't be real, the Bible says, conf your sin to one another. I love you. I honor you, man. You were like your fruit of the ministry, man. Hey, welcome to the Holy and Horny podcast. If you haven't heard us before, this is probably your episode one or however chronologically these things fall. But today I got my brother Frank Ortega with me. And if y' all don't know that story, then you're probably just tuning in. But through just God orchestrated experiences and opportunities, he's crafted a best friend for me that is unlike anything I could think or imagine that how. That's how good our God is. And we're utilizing our friendship and our platforms to kind of just talk about some of the struggles that we deal with as very eligible bachelors. So, you know, I know that I'm no different than most of humanity, and I surely know that Frank, even though he's in a different state, different upbringing, different culture, is so much like me, and we're so much like our. Our viewers. So we want to kind of just get real and. And get uncomfortable in front of the cameras because quite frankly, if it's going to help you, we don't give a shit how we look. Yeah, we're here for. To complete brothers, not to compete with brothers, but. But lift another man up. Frank, you got anything you want to add to that? Brother?
Bro, that was so good, dude. That was so good. Thank you, man. And yeah, like. Like guys said, first of all, bro, thank you so much for honoring me that way. Like, it's so true. Our story is phenomenal. More than likely, there's an episode that's been filmed already, if you're listening to this just now. But with Mine and his story and how we. How we even met, right? So you can dig into that. But I agree with what Guy said. There's a. There's a Chinese. I think it's a Chinese parable, bro. I don't know. It's one of those, like Chinese proverbs or African proverbs, I don't know. But where it says where once the student is ready, the teacher will appear. I think that when we're ready to be a real friend, right? I think that's when a real friend starts to appear, right? And I think there's some. Some dudes that are listening to this right now. And here's what I want everyone to know right off the bat. Me and Guy don't know all the answers. And we're not going to try and act like we know all the answers. And that's not what this is like. We just have some insights that we want to share based off of. Off of our experience. And we want to receive some insights as well and like, learn some stuff about some of the stuff that we're going through because no one's really talking about the stuff that we're going to be talking about. Like this. The name of this podcast alone triggers most Christians, right? And so you think those Christians are going to be having these types of conversations. They're struggling with the same struggles, but they're definitely not having these conversations. So I'm excited that you're here on the Holy and Horny podcast, and I can't wait to see you on another episode. But, Guy, I know there was something on your heart, bro, that you wanted to cover. I told Guy because he. He wanted to film today, right? And he had something to chat about. And he said. I said, hey, is it a holy topic or a horny topic? He said, it's holy and horny. I was like, perfect, bro. So take us in. Guy, what's going on, man?
And I don't know how that happens, how most of all, my stories are a little bit holy and a little bit horny, but the dog. But you, you gotta love that, right? That God will use our strengths. And part of my strength is being high drive, leader. And that doesn't just correlate to one sex. So I want to talk kind of about marketing is going to kick off this story. And that's something as a business owner, that's been very important to me. Building a successful business in a new city. God, when he sent me out, he said, man, I want you to go into new land where you don't know anybody and start a business with very little capital and do it off of his power. So when I came to Lake City, Florida, I didn't have a lot of foundation other than the relationship that I had with God and just being in the last eight years of my prison sentence, being very keen to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. So I've been out for two and a half years and we built a successful business and a successful family and team of individuals, which is, bar none. And Friday we were shooting a commercial and this commercial was a little harder than, than I thought because I'd never shot one geared to my flood and restoration portion of my business. And that's kind of the high ticket part of my industry. So I'm like, but I had a vision, right? And so I'm like, this is what we're going to do. We're going to artificially flood a room out. A smoking hot chick is going to wake up, stretch in a bed and step her foot down off the bed and sink into water. Because that happens. And it's a hard part of the industry to market. And, and so I called up, you know, my ex girlfriend who shot one commercial and she is like, just very good to look at on camera and off camera. And she was like, nah, nah, I'm kind of, you know, she probably got a new boyfriend now. So yeah, that'll do it.
That, that'll kind of derail it a.
Little bit, which is okay because it wasn't meant to be. So what I did was I kind of just like, you know, I plan on being serious and intent with women, but I've got a, you know, few past women that's been on the roster. And so I kind of went through the roster and this was a, you know, it was a paying job, so it's easy to sell. I'm going to pay you well to just play in this part, man, and just be a, a homeowner in a very nice, upscale part of town. And I got a hold of this girl I talked to for about six months on and off and she said she would do it. Well, we've been spending time, you know, talking. We went to dinner the night before, talked about like, kind of what her part was going to be and I'm like, dang, this girl, I'm not going to say her name is smoking hot, man. She's like, gotta be top, you know, three in the state of Florida. And you know, I've been kind of trying to make things work with her on and off. But it just never felt right. And could I see her with me? Absolutely. In certain manner. So. But I never really felt a piece about it or good about it, but I am high testosterone, man. So we. We were talking about this commercial. We shot the commercial Friday, and. And it's gonna be awesome. And it was a great, great shoot. And during the commercial, I had my mediation with my son's mom going on, so I was frustrated. She was, you know, I won't talk about what frustrated me, you know, in that situation, because I respect my son's mom and because I just don't feel like this is the right place. But I was frustrated, man. I was pissed off. And I asked this girl that's shooting this commercial with us, like, hey, you want to go to Atlanta? And I just on a whim, I miss my dad. I miss my brother. I missed my. The roots of my foundation. And I knew I needed to go tap into that. And she was like, absolutely, I want to go to Atlanta. So after the shoot, we actually. I was driving my. My company van. You know, that's when, you know a girl like you, when she'll get in one of those carpet cleaning vans, because those things smell terrible. And my truck, which, you know, Lord's blessed me with my dream truck, a lifted, you know, Chevrolet Denali. That's all the bells and whistles and. But it was in the shop, so they finished it, we rode and picked up the truck, and we headed to Atlanta. And kind of what I want to talk about is just spending time on the whim with a girl that you may or may not like. And something I know for a fact, and something I learned this weekend is you spend enough time with somebody and you're gonna know.
It's a.
It's an easy way to sift the wheat, man. It's an easy way to know somebody because anybody can fake it a little bit for a while, or anybody can gel for small, you know, pieces of time, but you find out real quick who your friends are, who or how you vibe with somebody. So, Frank, do you have any experience with that, bro?
First of all, that's such a good story, man. I think you're. You're. You're on the money with that. You're on the money of it. Like, dude, just spend some time with them. And what I like that you did, bro, that I'm hesitant of doing, just being completely honest is bringing them around my family, right? And I don't know what it is. Maybe it's like, you know, if it doesn't go anywhere. I don't want my family to, like, think anything of me or I don't want them to think that I'm some kind of player or. Or whatever, you know? But, bro, even just hearing you say that, it makes me think, like, how much. How many opportunities am I missing of creating genuine connection and really testing out to see, like, is this woman going to work in my family? Is it? Does this woman fit my lifestyle? Because going out to dinner for a night, that's not my lifestyle. But being around family and the people that you love and joking around with your family and her being there, seeing if she gets the joke, seeing if she's uncomfortable with the joke, seeing if she fits into the conversation, seeing if she's intentional with them, like, those things, bro, that's, like, really encouraging to me. Yeah. So, no, I don't have a story like that because I've played it. I've played the game too soft. I've played the game a little too guarded, where it's like, no, no, no. Like, I need to just spend time with you. Now what I have done is I've started to allow either face times to come in or phone calls. And I don't, like, hide that individual. Right? Like, so if she's, like, with me, it's like, I'm not gonna hide her. It's like, I'll put her on the camera. I'll make jokes about her with her, with, like, my parents, right? Definitely not with my little girl right now, just because I want to obviously be a little bit smarter with that. But I really like that, bro. Like, spending some time, like, if you're on the. If I'm on the fence, that's what I'm gonna do, man. But, hey, so.
So let me expound on how this thing went, because there's a lot to this story. But I'm gonna ask you a couple times in this thing just to give your input because, like, I know that you'll have a good balance for, you know, because I feel the same way you do, but I'm kind of risky. And the fact that my kind of philosophy is, man, I'm going to make it to heaven sooner than later. And this earth is fleeting. And my philosophy is, when I get to heaven, I don't want to be well rested, I want to be exhausted, and I want to squeeze the most out of life. So essentially, like, four or five months ago, my dad told my mom, God loves Jesus, money, and women. So he knows that my parents know that about me. Is. Is if anybody knows me in that.
Order, is it in that?
And I mean, that's not a terrible order, right? But.
Order, bro.
But, you know, it kind of stung me a little bit because it's like they, they. It's. To them, it's kind of funny a little bit because I brought. So. And they live in Atlanta, and I go up there quite frequently, and I'd say 50% of the time I have a woman up there with me or I date a woman up there, like my mom's hairdresser recently. So it's like they've seen that. Those interactions, and they know that. That it's hard for me to settle. But so I bring this girl up there and we get a beautiful hotel, man, and the Brave Stadium, right in that area. It's called the Battery of Atlanta. And it's just such a cool place. So many nice restaurants and the PBR spot with the pro bull riders and. And, you know, bars. Just a cool scene downtown. And we're right in the mix of it. And essentially I got a friend that owns a bunch of restaurants, and one of his spots was in like, the show the Ozarks. I don't know if you saw that one, Frank, but, like, the first series was shot at the. The Blue Cat Lounge. And so he owns a Blue Cat Lounge, and it's a bar on the lake. And I'm like, man, let's go get up with my dog Chip. And my dad kind of surprised my dad, so we shoot over there to. To the Blue Cat Lounge, and we're kicking it with Chip. And my dad rolls up and Chip is just rolling out. Good food for us, man. The fresh tuna, just ribs straight off the smoker, smoked wings, just the top of the line stuff. And just like, letting us try new things. He's putting on the menu and really putting on a show. And that's how he shows love. And my dad comes in and like always, he's a gift giver, man. And he comes in and. And they got their new. He's a. He's a baseball coach, hall of Fame baseball coach. And they got their new lids. And it's the, you know, it's the etowah lid, and it's clean, man. It's. It's the white E on the royal blue. And essentially one of his players from his 2017 team is playing on the Royals. So this is their style of hat. So he comes in there, and what's cool about this hat is on the back of it, it says bird gang. And so he's created a culture to where this team knows they're the Bird gang, man. They know their culture, they know they play as a team. When they go to the playoffs, they all dye their hair blonde. And I'm going somewhere with this. So they all dye their hair blonde. And you don't go into the playoffs and dye your hair blonde if you think you're going to lose.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
It's just not a good look.
Nope.
These guys go in knowing that they're called to win, knowing that they play better in tough situations because of their culture, because they love each other and they play as a team. And they may not always have the best players or the best skill set, but that team unity iron, sharpening iron makes him so strong, man. So me, my dad and this girl are all hanging out and we're talking about, you know, some of this stuff. And like I told you earlier, Frank, it's. It's interesting because I have a friend in my hometown that owns a business too, and. And that's one of our accounts. And due to like, food shortening, their business is slow. They've just taken a complete slow down and shut down hours. And they're like, man, guy, it's tough, man. We don't know if we're gonna make it. Like, food's getting more expensive. We can't charge much more. We're just not doing well. And my brother Chip up there, that was feeding us, you go to him and he's got just a totally different psychology. He's like, I'm like, chip, are you worried about this food tightening up and the shortage and, and, or just inflation or the market? And he's like, bo, man, I'mma tear it up no matter what happens, man. We get, we get better every day, man. We're popping a new restaurant in downtown Woodstock called the 919. The day my first one was originated, he said, we're going to blow it up. And you can that confidence seeds off of him and it gets it down to his culture. And that's what I want to tell you about the friends that I got, man, they roll with confidence and something greater than themselves. And man, they know the power of the tongue and just it exudes from the confidence. Like me, I just close. I just went under contract under a house, and. And they want me to put down a lot of money, but. And they want to give me a kind of higher interest rate. And I'm like, dad, I'm not worried about it. My dad's giving me a hard time about the interest rate. I'm like, I'm not worried about the interest rate. I could freaking make it rain. I'm worried about putting down that much money and tying up my capital. And my dad is teaching my dad, who's an old school kind of guy, about risk and about finances. And to be successful, you kind of out here. What I've learned is you got to be risky. And when you make a decision, you go all in. And even bad decisions with that much energy and that much faith turn into good decisions every time. And if not every time, you know, almost every time in my experiences.
Yeah, because you're giving God something to work with. It's right. Is it a risk if you don't go all in? No, it's not. Is it a risk to jump off of this bungee jump? That's a risk. But what if I jump, but I hold on to the bar? That's not a real risk, bro. And you end up just crippling yourself even more. You get hurt. It's about a full sending. What I'm hearing you say, bro, is that it's moving with an abundance mindset that says, come hell or high water, I'mma make it through. And that's the same attitude that you took into this weekend with that chick.
It's the same lifestyle. I'm. I'm. I'm buying a home bigger than what I need, with a heated pool, nice for a family. I'm taking trips with a chick because that's my genuine intention. If she's not the right one, we're gonna figure it out pretty quick on this trip, and I'm gonna go in a different direction, but it's still the same direction with the same intention. So that's kind of just how I, you know, and I'm not worried about upsetting somebody or. Or hurting this girl because I have good intentions for the girl. Now if she's not for me, she's. There's someone better out there for hers is ultimately how I feel. And it's better off me, you know, just being really honest and open about my feelings the entire time. So that's kind of how I do it when I. And it pisses girls off because I'm just real blunt about how I feel, you know?
Oh, it. It pisses them off, but they respect it, bro.
And they always come back because at the end of the day, it's truth, man. And people love people that are going to be real with them, because there's not a whole lot you're telling Me what I want to hear. And you're not used to somebody telling you exactly what it is, whether you like it or not. And that's okay with healthy conflict?
Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, exactly. Conflict, for the most part, is healthy. When you're operating out of a place of bro. Abundance is just being honest is, like, literally what I'm realizing. It's like, you. You hear all these podcasts out there and all these, like, coaches out there. Like, it's way too complex, man. Like, complexity is the enemy of results. It's just. Let's go back to the Bible. Be honest. Just be honest. Like, if that's your intention. I was talking to, actually one of my exes today, and so I was connecting with her while I was taking a dump. And. And because, you know, I didn't want to do that by myself. I wanted some company while I'm handling my business.
Right?
What.
What. What better of a place?
And so something that I brought up on there was, you know, because she was talking about how, you know, wasting each other's time. That's a big term. That's, like, being said right now, by the way, guy, your camera froze. So if you want to stop your video and then start it again, it might bring you back up. Oh, no, you're still. Yeah, yeah. You're still froze. You're still froze.
Let me see if I can get it going.
Yeah, yeah. And while you see if you can get it going, I'll. I'll finish this story real quick. But I was telling her, I was like, it's not. It's not a waste of. It's. For me, it's never been a waste of time. Like, I've never wasted my time because I walk away with beautiful experiences when my intentions are pure. I think that's the key. That's the X factor in this, is when my intentions are pure, I actually leave with incredible experiences. Even if it doesn't work out, even if she chooses somebody else, even if I feel like this isn't going to happen, like, I still get to leave with incredible experiences because maybe me and her created an inside joke with each other. Right? Maybe she had some quirk that made me laugh more than another person had. Like, there's just so many different things that I get to experience. So for someone to say, like, I waste my time, you know what that's really saying is, hey, unless you can give me what I want out of you, unless you can give me the end result, like, don't even talk to me, bro. That's selfish as hell, bro. Like, to me, that is, like, one of the worst mindsets ever. That's the opposite of being abundant. Like, I was just at a church conference. My boy Kevin's here, and he was there with me, too. And our pastor was preaching about pouring yourself out, right? And how we were designed to. To pour ourselves out constantly. To me, when somebody says, well, I don't want to waste my time, that just shows me that you don't have a pouring yourself out mindset. Because what you did this weekend, guy, like, bro, I'm telling you, you're really encouraging me with this story because I've played it too safe as far as, like, I don't want to bring some individual around my family if I don't know that they're going to last, right? Because I don't want my family to think certain things about me. But I would rather be able to, like, take them around my family and have a really cool experience and create some cool memories then just to kind of keep my life, like, in different sections. Like, okay, my dating life is over here. My family life is over here. My business life is over here. Ministry life is. No, no, no. It all needs to be in unison, right? And I think the way that we're. I'm going to be able to do that, bro, is because of friends like you. Like, I know if I go to Florida with Guy Jones, I know that you know my heart. I know that you know my intentions. And so I know that if. If I. If I bring a bombshell with me to Florida, and I'm like, yeah, bro, like, we're just dating. We're getting to know each other. Yeah, this is my best friend. Whatever. I know that if it doesn't work out in two weeks, three weeks, two months, three months, that you're not going to be sitting there, like, judging me because of that. It's going to be a completely different interaction, right? And I think that's what, maybe for most people is what holds them back. But I know for me personally, like, that's what's held me back from, like, introducing women to my family, that I'm just kind of, like, getting to know, you know, different with my daughter, though, you know, and that's a whole nother topic as a single dad. But I love what you're talking about, brother. It's just. It's just having that abundance mindset of, like, this is who I am. This is what I want to experience. And I'm gonna extend the invitation to you to experience this with Me now, whether you choose it or not. That's all right. But I'm. I want to experience this. And that's exactly what you did, bro. And you had a freaking dope experience, and so why not keep moving that way? Like, I really. I really like that thought process, bro.
Hey, brother, my battery on this camera is dead.
Oh, yeah. Okay, we'll just turn on your normal webcam for now then.
How do I do that.
By the way? We're leaving this on the podcast, by the way, bro.
Are we?
Yeah. This is real and authentic. What?
The podcast. I'm with it. How do I get to the. How do I get to the. Just computer. It says USB camera, EOS Webcam Utility, OSB Virtual Camera, and EOS Webcam Utility Pro.
What? What's the. Read them again.
So it's usb, EOS OBS, and EOS Webcam.
Maybe it's the obs. Just tap all of them until one of them works, and then. And then hit start video.
I tried that while you were in a safe. Cannot start video. Cannot start video. Like, I tried it with all of them video settings down here. Let's go.
Like, it doesn't say your normal computer webcam.
No. And I'm down here at Video osb, usb, EOS Webcam Utility Pro.
Try the. Try the usb. See if that'll work for you.
There it goes. That looks like it's gonna probably work.
There we go. There we go.
All right, we're back at it, brother.
So back to the holy and horny podcast.
Hey, and I loved what you were saying right there. And, you know, people can come off very judgy. They look for an area of your life that you don't 100% have all the way together as, like, a chink in the armor. And so I've had, like, just people that are close to me make comments like, kind of like, my dad, God loves God, money and women. And I heard that from another person that he said that. And, you know, I do love God, money and women. You know, I'm just going to be honest. But that he would use that kind of. It just kind of stuck with me. And I'm like, ah, sometimes I don't know, you know, how that comes off. But I got to be true to who I am. And I'm a man on a mission and a mission every day. And that's how God built me, is to be on a mission. And. And one of the things those things I'm intentional about is. Is putting myself around women that I think could Potentially be the woman I'm looking for. God says a woman is a beautiful gift. So what I've learned lately is, man, he gives the red flags really quick to me. He allows me to be very discerning.
Yeah, yeah.
So with this one, like, I've had red flags a long time ago. And the best way I can say it is I always feel like this particular girl will tell me what I want to hear, but it's not truth. It's not uncut truth. She's playing, kind of playing a part because she sees me as potentially good on paper versus really genuinely feeling how she puts on. And that's just a vibe that I'm, I'm catching. And I know me, if I'm catching that vibe, it's 100% what it is. But her looks will allow her to stay in the, in the game longer than it would for any other girl.
Give a little bit more flexibility.
It would. It will, bro. And I could tell very quick, huh?
It's like a salesman that shows up late to work every day, but he's the number one sales rep and he's bringing in money. It's like, hey, I'm not saying you're not gonna get fired, but what I'm saying is it might take me a little bit longer to let you go.
Right, right. We'll look past some things if you have certain strengths in life.
Certain strengths, certain God given strengths.
That's right.
So.
But let me tell you how this thing ended out, man.
Can I hit on something first before you finish the story?
Yeah, absolutely.
Because you, you were mentioning how some people can like, kind of shame us a little bit and, like, say these little things, bro. And I was talking to my boy Riley and I was telling him how, like, mine and your friendship, it was developed so, so strongly because you literally said you were like, I feel like I could tell you anything and you didn't judge me one bit, like, and you couldn't even sense a hint of judgment off of me. That's because there isn't. But you couldn't sense it. Right? And so I was talking to Riley about that and I told him, I was like, bro, think about this. Just think about it for a second. I'm like, when a man finally tells you something, let's just say that he's been sleeping around, right? And that's been like the season in life that he's been in and he's a man of God and he doesn't want to be sleeping around. But that's the season that he's in right now because the struggle is just so heavy on him, right? I'm like, if that man comes and tells you that, do. Do you think you're gonna give him any advice that he doesn't already flipping know himself.
Right?
Like, are. Are you gonna say anything to him right now that he's gonna be like, oh, well, I didn't know to try that. No, bro, he knows.
He knows.
And he's already got a level of conviction, he's already got a level of guilt, he's already got a level of shame. And so you come in here thinking on your high horse, right? Because maybe you're married in that. And I wasn't saying that Riley was acting this way. I was just telling Riley. This is my frustration with a lot of Christian men, right? Because they're not trustworthy. They paint themselves as trustworthy until you give them something that's a little dirty, and then they're like, oh, no, bring out the hand sanitizer. I can't touch this. I can't. I don't wanna. I don't want to be in this mess, right? This is too real for me. Like, bro, no, no, no. Men don't need more men to tell them, well, you should have this. Well, you should have that, bro. I know I'm a flipping man, dude. The reason why I'm telling you is because I know what I should have done, but I didn't do that. And I'm trying to confine in someone because the Bible says to confess your sins to one another so that you might be healed, but you're over here pointing a finger at me. So now I don't want to expose myself to you, so thank you. But please get out of my circle. Please get out of my circle. And now guess what? I got to go and take a risk with another man to heal the wound that now you created because you're a negatistical prick.
And you know, for you to get passionate about that is righteous, man. Because I can think, like right now that in the past couple years or, you know, I've been out two and a half years, my friends in my hometown are like the worst man as far as just, like, talking trash. And you can feel the judgment on them every time you come around. And it's like, man, I'll come around. I can feel the judgment. But I call them higher still. I know that they can't stand my successes, so they look at little areas where I fall short and they pick it apart. And it's Their own insecurity. And I kind of look at them like the child that they are. And like, man, they're just a broken child that was hurt, and they're trying to hurt people and they think, you know, and. But those will be the same ones that come back around. And they're like, hey, man, like, a lot of them, you know, laughed at the idea of me, you know, starting a podcast, but now it's got a little momentum going and one of the same ones, hey, man, do you think there's any way where that you could fit me in on, like, that podcast? And it's like that in a lot of areas. Now they want to work out with me. Now they want to because they know that no matter how much they dish out, when they come around me, it feels different.
Yeah. Yeah, exactly. And I was talking to Kevin about this, and you know why, bro? It's because what you said in the beginning is, because I'm not here, and you're not here competing with these men. You're here looking to see how can I complete them, right? Like Jesus, bro. That's how Jesus moved. Jesus moved with, like, next level grace, which is why he is the completion to us. Where we fall short. He steps in and makes it. Makes that up. Right? But I feel like it's a competitive mindset and a competitive spirit to be like, oh, you messed up on that. Well, bro, you shouldn't have. Because it's like, hey, how about instead, you take the opportunity when I strip down naked in front of you emotionally, why don't you take the opportunity to strip down naked emotionally in front of me, too? What's something that you haven't been able to tell somebody else, bro? Because I just told you something that not a lot of people are sharing with each other. So take this as an opportunity to be like, hey, man, you know what? I appreciate that. Let me reward you with something that I rarely ever share to anybody because I'm afraid how they're going to take it. That's how me and you created this friendship, bro. Literally.
And it's like, brother, doing hard things bonds people together. So with these guys here, sometimes the. The only thing they understand and. And this goes back to prison is violence. So me being a physical specimen and being able to run long distances and work out with them hard and be more excelled in that area, but help them get through the workout, help them win and be on top, like, that's one way that I strip. I strip them down of that pride. And.
Yeah.
And, man, it allows Them to start getting vulnerable. And that's what I've seen is like, man, as long as I stay my course and I'm true to myself, and I. When I get it wrong, I go to the ones that love me. And sometimes I go to the ones that don't love me just to let them know that, hey, man, this walk is not easy, brother. This walk is. Is the toughest thing you'll do in life, man. Picking up your cross daily is the toughest thing you'll do in life. And I fall short.
You.
I'm the biggest one to plant the flag in the ground. I got a cross planted in front of, you know, my place of business, because that's what we stand on. But I want him to know, brother David, a man after God's own heart got it wrong. He didn't just get it wrong. He got his best friend sent to the front line to be killed after he shacked up with his. With a. His wife. And guess what? That was a man after God's own heart. So there's nothing I can tell you about me getting it wrong that God won't forgive me for. And I want these guys to know that little thing in your closet, that little skeleton in your closet is not keeping you from a relationship with Jesus. Nothing will separate you from the love of Jesus. But it's keeping you from coming boldly to claim your inheritance and walk in power. And you need to claim that inheritance for the people around you.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Exactly. Exactly, bro. I love that. That's such a great point. And that leads me to say this. I want to hear the rest of your story, bro.
Let's go.
Good story.
I want to tell y' all how Frank has claimed territory with the people around him and his family. And it's unbelievable. And we're going to save that. And I got stories about how I'm claiming territory in a huge way, but by just living my life differently. So we watch a basketball game, have an awesome time. My mom wasn't there. My mom was sick at home, had a little sinus infection. So I'm like, dad, I'm not leaving here without coming to see my mom. Can you have us hooked up with some breakfast in the morning? And he's like, what you want? And my dad, he's like, I got. I gotta plug this computer you to. My dad loves to serve, man. He's gonna serve, brother. That's just what he likes to do. And. And so the way he feeds is man cakes. And these pancakes are hooked up with blueberries.
A man cake, bro. You made me a man cake?
I made you. And I learned that from G. Rob. That's that those things are made with love. They taste a little different, right? So me and this girl go to. To breakfast with at my dad's house, and. And she's like, dang, these are the best scrambled eggs with jalapeno. These are best scrambled eggs I ever had. And the man cakes are awesome. And as I do when I go over there, we're going to watch, because normally it's on a. A weekend, so on Sundays, we watch a church service together. So I'm like. And this girl is she. Like I said, she likes to tell me what I want to hear. So she's a believer, but there's no fruit of that in her life. So I'm like, maybe this is a reason why she's tagged along, because at this point, I know that she ain't somebody I'm gonna see after this trip. So I'm like, let's at least go get her some smoke, right?
Let's smoke her down. Hey, bro. And you smoke her down with who you guys listen to?
You already know, man. So you put me. Frank, put me on shuttlesworth. J.D. shuttlesworth. And this dude's a savage, man. Yeah, he's like, 69, and he's preaching straight.
Hey, he's gonna listen to this podcast one day, bro, because I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm gonna be friends with him commenting from our podcast on his Instagram. Do not say he's 60, bro. The dude's in his 40s.
Is he? Oh, well, we need to edit that part.
We need to honor him and edit this part.
Now.
We're gonna leave it in.
I think I just heard he was. And my dad's 67. I'm looking at him today, and my dad looks great, man. He looks younger than me. And it's, you know, by being Holy Spirit, led by having purpose his entire life, by being the one. Because he's not my real dad. My real dad is a great guy, but he's not a believer. So when you hear me talk about my dad, a lot of times, it's my stepdad, who I've seen in Georgia, and when he's the one mentor in my life that I could say, man, that's how Christian supposed to look like. That's. That there's. That's attractive. He played professional baseball. Everything he does, he. He does with. Well, he runs the race to win the prize, man. He coaches well, he's. He's hungry, he's driven. Now he's got a real estate agent now he's trying to flip houses, and he's always trying to get in uncomfortable positions, but there's nothing too uncomfortable. He's just a cool dude, man. He's just a cool dude and he's not judgmental. And he's got the real. What I like to say, just the real pure theology, man. The power of. Of Jesus and an active relationship and just coming. Coming as you are. And he walks in that, man. He's a light.
I love that. I love that, bro. Yeah, he's. He's a. He's a stud. So is your mom, man. All right, so we were at man cakes.
So, yeah, so we eat these man cakes and we go sit down in front of JD Shuttlesworth. And he's preaching on a word based expectation. So having expectations based on your words, like in 10 years, I'm gonna have a hundred Pinnacles. Pinnacles are going to be all over the east coast of Texas. You'll never hear me say anything but that. The other night, said the other two nights ago, Chip, my buddy at the restaurant who's very confident in his business, still said, hey, guy, if you're going to do that, if you're going to have a hundred of these, you have to do this. I said, it's not if, Chip, it's when. And I'm gonna have a 100 pinnacles, brother. There's no ifs, ands, or buts about it. It's in my vision. It's for a tool to bless people, to be a light along the E. There's no reason why I'm not going to have those 100 pinnacles because my heart desires it. And I'm a man after God's own heart. So we watch JD Shuttlesworth and get smoked down, man. And it's, it's. He's puts a girl on the video who's bedridden, who has muscular dystrophy. And it's been so bad that she's been in a wheelchair. Not the normal wheelchairs, but the wheelchair with the back and the head rest. And she's just on her deathbed and she starts listening to JD Shuttlesworth. And her husband's standing right next while she's telling this testimony on TV at his church. And he's just a strong man that doesn't look like he's weeps much. And he's trying to hold it all together because he's seen the power of the Holy Spirit come in and heal this woman's life by hearing JD's words, word based beliefs and just pure unadulterated word of God. And it's, it's sharper than any two edged sword to change people's lives. If it wasn't that, I wouldn't be on this podcast. If it wasn't that, I wouldn't be flying the flag of Jesus Christ. If it ain't power, and if not, every bit of the Bible is true. So he's spinning on the Bible that you do not hear at churches because most churches think, well, some things happen for a reason and some things don't happen for a reason. And you know, maybe you'll get healed and maybe you want. No, man, we're, we're walking in power. The same power. Jesus is the same today, yesterday and tomorrow when he walks, he walks in power. He does, he heals based on faith. Just like the centurion. Just like healing the centurion's daughter. Right? Is that. Expound on that real quick, Frank, because you could probably tell it better than I can.
It was the Roman centurion, I believe it was his daughter or somebody that he knew their daughter. And the amazing part about that they just preached on it this weekend I shared this with Guy, is that there's two ver, there's two places in the Bible, in the entire Bible where God is amazed two times. That was one of the times and it was because the Roman centurion isn't a Christian or in that time a Jew. The show like the chosen people. And he had more faith than Christians did. And so Jesus was amazed. It would be like if right now he said, dude, this guy doesn't even believe in me, but he has faith that I can do this. That's amazing faith. He's not even a Christian and he believes that I could do it right? And so Jesus is amazed. Then there's another scripture where it says that Jesus is amazed again. And that one was whenever he went back to his hometown and people did not believe that he could do things. So it says that he was limited in what he could do because of their unbelief. And he was amazed at their unbelief. So that's the kind of faith that Guy is talking about right now.
So this kind of faith is what heals this woman. Not just heals her, she goes back to the same doctor she's been going to for 16 years. This woman on this, this church program that we're, we're watching Today. And he's like, your health is so good. It's not normal on the scale. It is great. It's as high as the scale goes. We're taking you off this ventilator, and we're taking you off this medication. And doctors don't like to take you off medication.
Nope.
They don't like to take you off medical equipment. These companies want to keep you sick, but the God we serve wants us free from all that. So the girl that I happen to be with and. And that spending this trip with me has some. Some physical ailments. Like she's been diagnosed with some auto immune dysfunction. And not that I know a whole hell of a bunch about it, but she allows it to hinder her from being active and being as well, physically taking dominion over that part of her life. And she just happens to have beautiful genetics where she can keep a beautiful body. So I look at her and I'm like, girl, that power's in the tongue. Like, you have power over your autoimmune system. You can pray right now that God removes that and allows you to be stronger than anybody that's ever had that autoimmune system. Be stronger than anybody fully healthy. And then you take. You do the part that. That is your part and put in the work, and things can change for you on a dime. And I saw that, that just sunk in a little bit. But she's been around me enough that the power of God is evident. She can see it, like, in my relationships and people I talk to. So it just hit her a little bit different. And we finished watching this, you know, video and. And it was time for us to drive back to Florida. My dad's like, hey. He like, I want you to go. He's like, you probably got to use the bathroom. Like, the bathroom's this way. And shows her the restroom. And he's like, guy, come. Come in here. I. I got something I want to show you. And so my dad sits me down and he's like, do you know the. The story of the prodigal son? And I'm like, yeah, absolutely. I know the story. And he's like, when you were in high school, you were incredible at whatever you did, but you wanted to go live with your real dad. Truth be told, I want to live with my real dad because I didn't have any rules over there because my, My stepdad, my mom, were strict because my real dad, I could holler at chicks and run wide open and party, drink, and I could just get away with more. I Could, I could manipulate more. I would, I couldn't get away with anything with my stepdad and my mom. But he's like, if you would have come with me, you would have won a state championship with your brother Jordan on that same team. And he's like, but you chose, you know, to live that path. And that path led me to, to a lot of bad things, but prison was one of them. And it just led me on the journey. It was a self chosen journey, but I was in the muck, in the mud, without air conditioning, with garbage food, with slop for 10 years. But I was, I was locked up more than 10 years just on the strength of the way I was living my life. And he's like, but son, you came back home. And he kissed me on my neck and he said, man, God, God wanted me to give you this. And it's a state championship ring.
Wow.
The year I would have been a junior in high school and my brother has one of these. And for a long time I was kind of envious. I knew just, I made a terrible choice. And you know, my brother went on to play baseball at a high level and, And I just missed so many opportunities taking the path of least resistance and. But my stepdad instilled so many good things in me. And now I look at this thing and. And his fingers are a lot smaller than mine. So it just fits on my pinky ring. Right. And I'm like, man, this ring to me means more than. It means that my brother, who actually won the state championship.
Yeah.
And if you remember the brother and the, the story, the brother was unhappy that the father came out to, to. To his son had just come back from living in the filth. He was just trying to get a meager job with his slave hands working for his dad. And his dad brought the best robe and told him to. Told his brother to kill the fatted calf. And he was going to celebrate him coming home. And so to me, this, this ring is probably going to be. It's priceless. It's the best gift I have. And I'll get it stretched and I'll get it built for my hand. And when I wear it, I'll remember that. Hey, that's how God the father loves. Right there, man. You can go live and run up to Atlanta and smash, which I did, I feel terrible about. And you can run up to Atlanta and have a few drinks and still go and get the word of God in your heart. Show up well for your parents. Be. Be a light and speak into Somebody's ailments and be a light and still fall short. And is the weekend a w? I think when we. I think when we look at it from a heavenly standpoint, God's more pleased with the heart, posture and saying, God, man, without you, I can't get anything right. When I do it on my own, I struggle, God, but my heart is for you. It's with you my greatest intention. Even though I'm so weak, Father, please help me be better. And I put off having sex with this girl for six months. And the weekend the hotel was too strong for me. It wasn't too strong for me. I was weak in my flesh. That being said, I got the valuable, most valuable gift out of the weekend. I was very honest with this girl about my feelings and. And about how I showed up. I was honest before we even hooked up. And that being said, I'd rather fail in action than in action.
Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Bro, thank you so much for sharing that, bro. There's so much in there that I think is going to freeze. Like, so many dudes, you know? And I. I just appreciate you so much, man. Like, that. That whole. Your whole weekend, bro, was just amazing.
It was amazing. Like, it. It was. But for me to get undressed in front of y', all, I want y' all to know, brother, there's brothers out here like you, and I feel the same sting. You can't make me feel worse than I feel when I fall short, man. You can't make. There's nothing you can do. That God, man, convicts. That word of God convicts. A lot of times my prayer is, despite my flesh, God use me, make me a tool, and use me. And he does, despite my flesh. But I tell you all that to tell you this. Was I better for having sex with her? Absolutely not. Did. Did it. Is that hurting me? Is that giving some of the best part of myself to somebody else? That, in all honestly, doesn't deserve that from me. In all honesty, it's going to make her feel shame and guilt. Like, she's not enough at the end of the day to keep me around. Like, is that true? In my perspective, she's not enough of what I want. In God's perspective. She's beautiful. She's his child. You know what I heard you say.
Was, is that true?
Yeah.
But she's enough for God right now. And she's going to be more than. And here's the thing, though. She's going to be more than enough for another man. She's going to be exactly what another man needs. I was just telling my boy Kevin this today, bro. It was a conversation that we were having because he was asking about, like, you know, dating and sex after, like, you know, once you've been married, we've had that. We've. We've had that fruit consistently. Like, it's hard just to shut that thing off, you know, I was like, just being vulnerable. And we do, you know, we do some ministry together, like, me and Guy. And so I was gonna go do a ministry event on Friday. On a. A Friday, right? And the night before, bro, I had beautiful woman over at my house on Thursday. Things happened, smashed it down, smoked it down, but in a different way, you know? And then on top of that, I hit her pin so that I could sleep and I got a little toasted, you know? And then I wake up in the morning, I'm like, dude, like, feeling a type of way, listening to worship. Feeling not just conviction, but condemnation and also, like, God, like, I'm sorry, dude. Like, I'm sorry. And then also to some degree, being like, I don't like this side about me. Like, I have some sides of me that I love, bro. I want to show that side to everybody. And I have some sides about me that I despise that I'm like, bro, I do not like that part. I don't like that I fall into that, right? And I told him. I was like. But you know what's crazy is I repented and I stepped into his grace, which is the hardest thing for me to do. It's hard for me to step into grace. It's easy for me to, in my head, earn the grace, right? And I'm like, and guess what? God moved through me in such a freaking powerful way. And guess what happened on the way home? I just bawling my eyes out, telling God how much. How grateful I am for him. And then not long after that, I end up falling to porn. And I'm like, what the heck, bro? And what it's making me realize more and more is that, man, my humanity is going to fail me time and time and time again, right? And I want to tame that beast. Not tame it, but I want to direct that beast, right? So that those same things don't ever happen in. In marriage, moving forward, right? But at the same time, it's showing me how good of a God I serve and how undeserving I am. Which makes me grateful for Jesus, because Jesus is the only reason why I am deserving and why I can say that I deserve an inheritance from God. And why I can move in power, because that's not my power. That's his power. And those beautiful moments that I've had with these men where God moves, that's because of the. The blood that Jesus paid on that cross. That's the only reason. It's not because I read my Bible enough this week. It's not because I prayed enough this week. It is because Jesus chose to die on the cross for me, and he saw me fit to do that for. Bro, if that doesn't bring you to your knees in, like, gratitude, if, when you're in worship, there's not tears in, like, bro, there's tears in my eyes. Kevin can attest to this. Bro, there's tears in my eyes when people are preaching. There's tears in my eyes when. When worship is going on. There's. There's tears in my eyes when I'm just thinking. Because I'm just so grateful that I recognize how undeserving I am, but I recognize how good he is. And then that begins to trump things. And if I could just, like, find a hack to stay in the spirit all the time and never let my flesh come out, never let any compliment m come out like, bro, I will be the first one on this podcast to, like, give it to the world and be like, this is exactly how you can do that. But I'm still trying to find that, too, brother. So thank you for sharing that, bro.
And. And, guys, if you're not hearing this from. If you're listening to some podcast and. Or you're going to church and you're not hearing about sin and about falling short and you're in a men's group, you're in the wrong men's group. These. These. These guys that you're following, they're not perfect. There's nothing about them that's flawless outside of g. Their relationship with Jesus Christ. But other than that, they're still broken in certain areas. And that's what I love about this podcast, is, man, we're gonna go hard to run that race to win the prize and. But we're going to talk about the struggles and the adversity of just being a real human being that's trying to conquer the flesh. That's why I got nice bat tonight. It's because I wanted to come back and conquer that flesh that got me this weekend. Because the ice bath doesn't feel good. That's why tomorrow I'm fasting a portion of the day is because despite failing, I'm gonna get back up and I'm still going to be faithful to my God, who I know how good he is. I know. And I'm not going to be ashamed to be to put him on a pedestal. Even though I'm a failure, even though I fall short, man, I've already been forgiven, redeemed, set free before I even had that sin. So am I going to keep that from proclaiming the King of Kings because I'm. I'm walking in a little bit of shame and condemnation from falling short? Hell no. Absolutely. I owe you more than that. Yeah, I owe you more than that. I'll be your scapegoat. But you need to be hearing, you need to be running with guys that you can be authentic and real with this about. And what you don't shine a light on, you'll never have victory over. Shine a light on your shortcomings. Because then we can come together. We could talk about it and, and we can work on it. Some nights, man, I'll be falling short and I'll be lonely or I'll be ready to hit a chick up just because I'm laying in bed and I need something to fulfill me. And I'll hit Frank up and we'll get on a spirit led conversation about God's stories and just how God shows up in our life every single day. And that should let you know something, man. The condemnation, him hitting that ped wi weed pin hitting him smashing that girl, me going to Atlanta. And we still had God's stories today because our God is good and he loves our heart. He loves that we're here being real with you because we're trying to set you free. That's our only goal on being on this podcast.
Yeah. Yeah. And doesn't it make you like seeing all that guy? Doesn't that make you want to be a holier man? Like, that's what, that's what it does. It lights a fire in me of like, how can I beat this? Right? How can, how can I overcome? How can I be more than a conqueror in these other areas in my life, right? Instead of just most people. Dude, I hate, I hate it when people say this. They're like, well, it sounds like you're just trying to take advantage of grace. I'm like, then you're an idiot. I'm like, how many times have you messed up and just been like, I'm just going to take advantage of grace. If you did that, then you don't love Jesus, man. And I love Jesus. I love God. Man, and my heart is for him. And so whenever I fall short, I'm like, okay, I want to be a holy man. Especially when he does God stories right after, it's, it's like, God, help me, be with me, guide me, right? It's a completely different experience. And I want people to understand that, man. Because this podcast, we're going to talk about some real fun, fun stuff, but I want to talk, we're also going to talk a lot about this type of stuff because this is what I feel is going to be the stuff that brings freedom. Because healing happens when one man confesses his sins to one another. The only difference is me and Guy Jones are confessing them to millions.
If you're on this podcast and this is, it's your first time hearing this, and you struggle with addiction and you struggle with pornography and you struggle with drinking a lot and these things have you bound up. Remember that God will gift you. He's always waiting for you to come back to receive the gift and all, it's, it's on you. It's not him. Live in your filth. But when you're ready, turn back towards God. And that's all repenting is, is turning towards him and saying, God, I choose you. I choose you over this addiction. I choose you over this pornography. I choose you over this hole that I cannot feel with enough women, that I can't fill with enough weed, that I can't fill with enough alcohol, that I can't fill enough meth, that I can't fill with enough cocaine, that I can't fill with enough suboxin, pain pills, methadone, whatever it is that you struggle with. That's too shameful, brother. He's waiting with the ring. He's waiting with a robe. He's waiting with a fat, fatted calf to wrap you up in grace.
Yeah. And if you want that, because I, we also, I also want to encourage us, if you're listening to this, repentance is also saying, hey, I choose you instead of shame, I choose you. And grace, instead of trying to work to earn it, I choose the cross over my own well doings and my own self righteousness, right? And so I want to give this opportunity for people right now, man, if you're saying, hey, bro, like that's what I want, I want to receive that ring like Guy did, but I want to receive that from, from God and I want to have that relationship that you two dudes have with Jesus where you can actually come boldly to his throne being real and not Some cleaned up version of yourself and trust him to walk life with you. Then our Instagram is Holy and Horny Podcast, just Holy and Horny Podcast. I want you to send us a message there. Just put Jesus as the message, okay? And that way we know right off the bat what your intention is. And then we're going to pray that prayer with you and make sure that you're taken care of because that's what all this is about at the end of the day anyways. And, and trust me, I mean, God can attest to this, Jesus is going to help you way more than we ever could. And that is like the cheat life, the cheat code to life. And so we want to get that to you guys if that's something that you want. You got anything else, guy? Before we log this off, brother?
Yeah, we want, we want to, to get you plugged in too, man, with some other believers and we want to do that for free, however we can do that. But we want to come alongside you and we have events and we have stuff that we do, but we, this thing takes a team, man. And it's just like kids, man. It takes a village, right? So it, it's the same thing with walking this faith out. And that's what we want to do is come alongside you because you make us better. I might be the arms of this body, but brother, I need some eyes to see. I need ears to hear. And you play a pivotal role in just keeping guys like me and, and Frank, you know, keeping us lifted up. So I'm, I'm gonna ask that Frank close this thing out in prayer. And then I'm gonna ask him also to pray for us that, that God would give us strength to next time not fall short to the flesh next time put be intentional about not being in the situation with a hotel room with a hot chick. You know, maybe I should have stayed at my parents house. Separate rooms.
Yeah, I was like, that wouldn't have worked.
Yeah, well, they got such a big house. But it's like I desire not to fall short like I did this weekend. I desire to have W's across the board. So how can I better do well? God give me strength. God give me eyes to see, give me ears to hear, allow me to, to have understanding so I don't have to put myself in these situations. Because you desire more for me and I want to be in it. I want to have an impact. I want to be a light closes out in prayer. Frank. I love you, brother.
I love you too, brother. Father, I thank you so much for today. I thank you so much for the opportunity to get to just be open and honest, God. God, we don't want to leave this lifetime with things just hidden on the inside, God. And we're not going to allow the fear of man to hold us back from the breakthrough that you've got for us, Father. So I just ask right now for next level strength in Jesus, mighty name and for interruptions. Would you interrupt moments where you know we're gonna fall short, God, and would you give us wisdom to first of all be able to enjoy this beautiful life that you've given us, but also be able to walk in a level of holiness that isn't built out of scarcity, but can be created out of a place of abundance. So I ask for all of that in Jesus, mighty name. Amen.
