Broadcast - Day 1

This is a YouTube video titled "Broadcast - Day 1" containing a spoken or performed excerpt by Melanie LaFemme, featuring a lyrical or poetic expression. The content appears to be a solo performance or monologue without multiple speakers or conversational interaction.
They call me sassy when I'm strolling down the street they call me classy when I'm serving Just the best, just the best they call me sassy when I'm smooth.
Foreign people of broadcast, this is such an exciting topic of conversation. And for me, this is one of the most important pieces of the puzzle that I unlocked for myself on my journey. And I want to give you so much power in these five days of this program. I want you to go back into your lives after this with a blaring voice, with such a strong commitment to sharpening it, to delivering it, to making sure that it's heard. Like, I want to wake something up in you in these next five days that changes your life, your business, your presence forever. I have big goals for this, this course. So the first thing I'm going to have you do when we hang up from the first day is I'm going to have you post in the broadcast group why you think it would be good for you and for the world that your voice is heard. So not just for you, not like, I want to be heard because I want to be famous, but like, if my voice was heard, then because of that, here's what would happen. So sometimes we think about our voice being heard as a very. Like, who am I? Who am I to have my voice be heard? Like, why? Why are people going to care about me? And one of the biggest breakthroughs I had is people don't care about me. They don't care about my voice. They care about what my voice does for them when it hits their mind, their heart, and their spirit. Anyone who's trying to be heard, trying to find a way that they should matter with their voice, usually goes on deaf ears because we're doing it for validation instead of actual service. And so when your voice is a voice that carries a message, when your voice is a voice that carries a frequency, when your voice is a voice that carries conviction, there's a win somewhere in the world for your voice to be heard. When the voice only carries your identity and your need to be seen or heard, it tends to be a lot quieter because there's not much value in the world for other people to just hear just your voice. There's gotta be a reason. What is this voice carrying? What's the purpose of having it? And so one of the most important things that I realized on my journey is that if the goal was just to have a good voice or just to speak, speak well, or just to. To be able to say things, the amount of visibility and reach that I had was very limited. As soon as I saw myself, like my voice is the ocean that carries a message, it became a much bigger importance for me to learn certain things about my voice. So I'm going to teach you some things in here so important. Like there is a context about your voice that's really going to sharpen your mind and your spirit when you're, when you're wanting to convey a message. But always pull, pull it through the filter of. For me, for you, for us. As soon as someone's like, okay, how do I get my voice out there? And there's no for you, for us. This can get really cheap. Like, you can cheapen all of this information. You can say things like, okay, well, this is just so that people think this or just so that people feel this. Like manipulation tactics. If you're not listening for the bigger message, everything on earth can be cheapened. Even gold and diamonds can be cheapened. Like we want to, we want to really be looking for the beauty and the power in this message and not utilizing it for the wrong reasons. Because that, that has been done in my world. Let's just grab the information and use that instead of, let me study this and apply that, which is such a different approach. So there are some typical things about the voice that people can tell right off the hop. When you meet a new person, you listen to the tone of their voice and you get a vibe. And so especially there's a lot of women in this group. It's mostly women. Women have a very diverse range of voices. When it comes to men, there's this like preconceived thing. If a man has a low, deep voice or he has like a normal voice, like those are. But the low, deep voice is the one that tends to click. We tend to notice that with women. The voice that tends to be the most common though is the high pitched, squeaky happy. That voice. And so it's. It's out of the ordinary for a woman to drop her voice deep into her body. But you'll notice that the people who have power in this world, Any woman who really has power in this world really works on the, the tonality of her voice. Now we all have a range, and this is so important. We all have a range. And so I will watch someone jump on a live stream that I haven't seen in so long and my happy, girly voice will come on. I'll say, that'll come out all of a sudden when my mom calls me Minnie Mouse answers The phone. When I see Frankie, there's a different voice that comes in. But what I've noticed in watching live streams of mine over the few years is how every year my voice drops just a little bit more every year I hear myself, and I'm like, that is a lower voice than it was. There's something deeper. And the idea here is not that it's deeper because I'm trying to speak deeper. It's deeper because it's coming from a more convinced place in my body. So you'll notice that when you're nervous, when you're not sure, when you're. When you're trying to be nice, when you're. When you're not super in your power, you'll notice your voice goes up a little bit when you're angry, when you're trying to make a point. Your voice might be low, but it's also loud. And there's such a different feeling to a low, powerful voice that, hey, I said no about that, or what do I have to tell you? Like, there's a different energy about a low, soft voice and a low, strong boys. One of them feels like actually powerful, and the other one feels like, forceful. And so you're gonna want to kind of listen to your voice. And I don't know who here can resonate with this, but I could not hear myself speak for the longest time. Anytime I heard myself in a video or, like, family home movies or something, I was like, how is that my voice? How do you guys even handle listening to me? This is the worst thing I've ever heard. Why don't let me speak on family home videos anymore? Like, stop it. A lot of times we'll realize that our voice doesn't sound like what we expect it to. But the re. The reason for this is we have no consciousness around our voice. You don't actually consider what your voice sounds like. You just talk. And so in anything in life, if you put no consciousness on will be different. Like, if you are not conscious with your hair, it looks different than when you are conscious about how your hair looks. If you are not conscious with your walk, it'll be very different than a conscious walk. Your back will be straighter, you'll be leading differently, your hips will sway differently than if you're just kind of like, getting a coffee early in the morning in your slippers. That's a different walk. And it's the same thing with your voice. You have a different voice. When you are conscious of your voice and we're not trying to make self conscious. Like, does my voice sound annoying? Does my voice sound too high? Because that's not it either. It's the consciousness that I am using my voice and the things that I am saying are actually making an impact or not making an impact as I'm speaking to people. And so as I started being more conscious about my voice, there's a few things I noticed changed. First of all was how low it went and second of all, how much less I use it. I can just sit there and listen and not say a word for hours. Whereas before I always thought I needed to be heard somehow. I always was trying to say stuff. I would speak loud on top of other people. I would speak fast to try to get my words in between two people trying to say something else. Now I'm very conscious of this voice because it's actually got a value to me. I don't speak if there is no listening. Before it was. I try to speak to get listening. So in this, the context of broadcast, I want to make you more conscious of what your relationship is with your voice. This is not about having a perfect voice. This is not about you trying to have a sexy voice. This is not about you trying to speak faster or slower or get all in your head about how you sound. This is about being conscious that your voice is a bridge between all the inner internal things that you're thinking and feeling and the listener and how they experience hearing you speak. The voice is a bridge. When you're having thoughts in your head and you imagine feeling nervous, stressed, pressed for time with no listener, can you imagine how your voice might come out? Can you already have an imagination of what your voice might sound like as it comes out like this? Now I want you to imagine you're speaking at a round table of only people you've really helped in your life that really respect you. You've got a rehearsed speech that you know by heart. And it really is. You could go off script if you wanted, it doesn't matter. But you're super prepared. And this is just to thank people for being in your life. People who you know you've made a different difference for. And everyone is listening. Can you see? Can you imagine how your voice would come out then? So the fact is we don't consider that sometimes our first impression with people is our voice. Not everyone has a visual first impression. We have different senses for a reason. Some people have a very audio sensitive way of meeting people. They'll see you and they'll have no feeling about it. But as soon as you open their mouth, as soon as you open your mouth, they get a feeling about you either, whoa, this is a powerful person, or, whoa, that person's intense or stressed, or, okay, calm down, or, gosh, I. I just feel so, so safe with you, or whatever. It is all from your voice. Now. We're not looking to change our voice, to change people's perspective of us. It's not the goal of this program. The goal is to be conscious of what the voice is that we have, because it's actually part of our identity. Your voice is a part of your identity. As interesting as it is. Who here is bilingual? Does anyone here speak more than one language? Have you ever been told you sound different in your other language? Like when you speak one language? Oh, my gosh, your voice sounds so different in the other language. So my voice in French does not sound like my voice in English. And it's so interesting because as I developed my voice in English, I did not develop my voice in French. My French sound does not reverberate power like my English voice does, to the point where even my French Canadian clients, when they listen to me say, I prefer to hear you in English, because even though I need to work harder on the words, I'll do it with subtitles. There's something about your voice in English, even though they understand me better in French, there's something about the tone in English that just hits them. You'll realize that different languages have an impact. The way that your mouth is shaped when you speak, the speed that you speak, your need to be heard versus your. Your service of being heard, when you think being heard is something you need versus when you understand that them hearing you is something that they need. That is such a different tone that comes out. And how do we know this? Because we change our tone based on who we're speaking to. When you're speaking to someone who you think is better than you, more intelligent than you, you're afraid, you're worried, your voice gets squeaky and really fast. When you're speaking to someone who you think is a little bit of a dodo, and no matter what you say, they're not going to get it. You speak really slowly so that they get it. When you're speaking to a child, your voice goes really up and it has tons of inflation, and you really go up and down like this so that they get really understanding what you're saying, and they totally get the vibe. And when you're trying to look cool, as if it doesn't really matter. You make sure there's almost no inflection to show that you don't really care. We do this, but we do it subconsciously. So what would happen if we could actually give conscious thought, conscious care to the sound that comes out of our voice, the sound that comes out of our mouth? Now, I wondered for so long why it was even though I had such a powerful message that people were not hearing me. I would go on a live stream. No one would really show up. I would go on a podcast once in a blue moon, and it didn't get much reach. And I wondered why, because I felt like what I had to say was equivalent to what a lot of the people out there had to say. It wasn't until I listened back to myself years later that I realized I was speaking on a frequency that was not meant for the masses. Yet I was speaking like I was talking. And there is a difference between talking and speaking. And the difference is you've got to speak. So you've been talking for 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 years of your life right now. When a voice comes out of your mouth, that's called talking. The power of broadcast is the power of speaking. And there is a difference between saying, I want to talk to you versus like I'm speaking on a topic. And I think even in your body, if you can try this on, to say I am embodying this energy of being a speaker instead of what do I want to talk about, what am I going to speak on versus what am I going to talk about? So I was talking with. When you say I was talking with, you can already imagine how much talking is happening when you say, so I spoke to my mother about. You have a feeling there's a very deep thing that happened there. There's something about the difference in your mind, your body, your soul, when you understand the purpose of speech versus just talking. So you've got to be conscious that your voice is a broadcast no matter when you're turning it on, whether you're turning it on on a podcast, whether you're turning it on on a live stream, whether you are speaking to a client on a one on one call, whether you're leaving a voxer message. If you can say to yourself, before you go on, speak, just speak. For this one, don't talk, speak. You will notice such an incredible difference in your voice. And the biggest difference is how you will feel as the words exit your mouth, as you understand the value of what you're doing. Talking is just blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. You can talk and gossip, but when you speak, you don't gossip. Speech, there's a point, there's a purpose, there's an audience, there's a listener speaking. That's what we really want to get good at. And so although there are gossip channels, there are reels that go viral for people just talking away, they go viral, but they. It's not because the person is going to get paid for speaking. It's because what they said was funny and it was relatable. And so the best chance of any money being made is the amount of what, the amount of time someone has watched. So if you can imagine a reel that goes viral when someone's talking only goes viral because of views not listening. So what I really want to help you with in this broadcast course is relevant listeners like relevant visibility, because that is so incredibly different than going viral. Going viral means everybody saw you. Relevant visibility means people heard you. They're not here because they saw something cute. They're here because they got it. I'm not. So, like, I've never felt the feeling inside if I wanted to go viral about anything because I don't care about visibility that isn't relevant. I don't care about people seeing me. If they can't hear me, it would be a waste of my energy. I only want people who can understand the frequency I'm speaking, which means that my ratio of how many people listen versus how often I get paid is through the freaking roof. And that's what I want to help you with. I want to make it that when the voice come out of your mouth, the money go in your bank. That is the way we do. We don't talk for free just because we've got things to do. We've got missions to do. We'll listen for free. We'll be there in the room. We'll appreciate beauty. We'll relax. But if I'm speaking, I collect money, cling. Because this is a gift that I have. This is a gift that you have, the ability to understand the difference between talking and speaking. And the more you talk, the less people pay you to speak. So we're going to find your balance. But the beautiful thing about a broadcast is that when you become valuable when you speak, then you're valuable to speak on other people's platforms. And this is what really started to shape the Alpha Femme brand. People come to me and be like, I heard you speak on a live stream. Please come and speak on my podcast. And then when I go on a podcast, I speak every time I get off a podcast. People are like, that was the bet. I could have heard you speak all day. They don't say, I love talking to you. I could have listened to you speak all day. I can't wait for my audience to hear this. And the feedback I get is, this is the most shared one. This is. We got the most feedback on this. Because I'm speaking on every chance I get. I don't go live to talk nowhere. I don't talk on stories, I don't talk on live streams, I don't talk on podcasts. I. I only speak. And that increases the value of my voice for me, for you, for us. When you see a person on camera and it's a 50, 50 chance that you're going to hear them talk versus you're going to hear them speak, you won't click on the video 100% of the time. You'll say, well, there's a chance I'm going to hear this person talk. And I don't know if I'm in the mood for that. But if the identity that is connected to the person you see is when this person speaks, they speak. I want to know what they're saying. You will watch it. And so we are. So we're in an era right now where visibility is, like, people are fighting to be seen, they're fighting to be heard, they're fighting for attention. Like, attention is the number one currency more than anything, because before you can get paid, you need to be seen. Like, can you capture a person's attention? Talking only captures people's attention if it's negative. Talking positive has absolutely no value. So talking negatively, gossip, secrets, lies, tattletailing, you'll never guess what, blah, blah, blah, that, that works. But you don't get paid for that. So what I found is that in raising the standard of what my voice is used for, I've created an association. Melanie and layer equals. This is going to be good. If you see me speaking on a live stream anywhere, you'd be like, that's probably worth watching. I'll follow it, I'll watch it later. That there's no feeling of like, oh, there's a possibility she's just talking about nothing that doesn't exist. And this is one of the greatest things I've done for myself. Because the only people who listen, listen to hear me. People share because it was good. They listen to hear me. And I get invited because people can 100% depend on the quality of what I'm going to say. I have grown My audience so big, not because I ran ads, but because people wanted my voice on their platform, because it gave them more visibility, more hearing, more listening. Having me on your podcast brings more listeners to your podcast. Having me on your podcast makes more people listen to your podcast. So the next episodes get more listeners. Can you imagine if we did that for every podcast? If every single one of us in this broadcast, every time we were invited to speak, raised the bar for that podcast? Every time we were invited to do a joint live stream, every time we were invited to a summit, every time we opened the Facebook Live or Instagram Live or YouTube Live, every time we opened our mouth, we raised the standard what would start to happen, how fast this community would grow like wildfire, how quickly people would start paying attention to me, to you, to us. Because people don't. Don't pay attention to talking, do pay attention to speaking. So in your body, there has to be a feeling inside of my voice matters. There has to be a feeling of that. And at first, sometimes it'll be difficult because you might feel like my voice matters sometimes, but not always. There's things I say, I feel like people don't pay attention. There's things I want to talk about. I feel like I'm not powerful. This is where we need to have discernment in the beginning. So I will tell you what I really believe. Who here is a coach or a consultant or a mentor or a guide or a speaker? Okay, so this is going to be super, super, super valuable for you. When you're first starting your journey and you're just starting to speak, whether it's on a consultation, a live stream, podcast, interview, whatever it is, you're going to realize that every word that you're saying either feels solid or feels like you hope people get it. Do you resonate when I say that? It either you don't either. Don't even think about it because you know this is your zone of genius or you're second guessing it. Like, I hope people get this. I hope I did a good enough job at this. I'm not sure if they really got it right. So what I did unknowingly from the beginning is I only ever spoke about things that allowed me to speak with absolute conviction. This is what, this is what really put me on the map. So I would talk things through with Kevin. I would talk things through on, you know, I do voice memos in my phone. I would talk things through on client calls because that's talking. You're not always speaking on a one on one client call, sometimes you're talking with your clients. I would test my, my thoughts out, I would coach, I would talk to people. But by the time it ever made it public, there was conviction in my voice. I could speak it. And so you might find that you're not supposed to speak about everything. Even if you think that topic is interesting, even though you believe in it, even though you think it's great. You're going to have to check your voice identity connection. So what is your voice identity connection is that when you speak, it feels like it's yours to speak. You know how I could, I could take you to a store and I could make you try some clothes on and you could say, this is gorgeous, but it's not me. Have you ever had that feeling? It's a designer dress, it's worth thousands. Great. I. This is just not me. There is a voice identity connection, same as there is a style identity connection, same as there is a price identity connection. But your voice identity connection is so important because this conduit, this energetic line is what makes it that when it comes out of your body, it feels that alignment. So if who I am and what I'm saying is in aligned conviction, then when you receive it from my mouth, you get that same alignment. You hear it like, yes, instead of now, one of the things I hear the most when I pay attention on social media because as I'm, as I'm gearing into now our, our media season of Alpha Femme with broadcast with Impact Academy, I'm always looking at people's social medias because I'm looking at what does the market need? What does the market need? In, in the audio, the visual, the speaking, the positioning, the, the explaining what they do. Like what does the market need? Because every year I run something brand new and it has to be tailored to what the market needs this year. And one of the top things I see, or I hear rather in the speaking is there is this very new trend. This wasn't there as much last year, but I feel like this is very intense this year where people speak like everything's a question. And so like, hello you guys, how are you today? So I'm going to talk to you about this and if you're here for the first time, then let me know. And so basically like I've been watching this thing and everything's a question. And so I've really been studying this and what I think happens is that people are terrified of getting canceled. People are terrified of saying something with a hundred percent conviction. And someone else be like, that's wrong. So we're buffering with a question to make sure that there's room to be like, well, I was really just curious, like I, I didn't know for sure if that's what we were doing. But you know, have you ever had this? Because one of the things I realized is that there's no power in voices right now. Most of the time it's a question even when, when it's something powerful. Like, have you been wanting to make like ten thousand dollar months? Like, are you tired of not making twenty thousand dollars a month? Because people are tired of getting, are you ready to make $20,000 a month? And people saying $20,000 a month is not all that matters. It's not all about the money. Avoid what comes at you when you're convinced. But you have two choices. People either hear you or they don't. And you avoiding them being mad at you is what, how you avoid them hearing you. The problem is you avoid the people who hear you for the right reasons as well. Everyone hears uncertainty, everyone hears a question. So in the broadcast, the, the flip side is that as you speak with conviction and as you own your place, as you own your voice, there are people who will be absolutely opposite belief of what you are saying. That is a guarantee. And the bigger you get, the more of the opposing, opposing side will find you. So that's why there's got to be a lot of nervous system regulation, a lot of emotional and spiritual and energetic maturity and alignment and intelligence. Because you have to learn to regulate your fear. Because if not, it's like saying, I want to be seen, but I don't want people to see me. So I'm walking out of my house, but I'm wearing a sheet, a bed sheet on top of me. That way, you know, people can't say I'm ugly. And it's like, well, no, they can't. But they also can't tell you you're beautiful. So we're, we're shielding everything. So in order to broadcast, what I really suggest is that you find topics you feel safe to have conviction in. And I will tell you, I did not feel safe to have conviction and money until 2018. I'd been doing live streams since end of 2015. I did a 90 day Facebook Live challenge in 2016. I opened Alpha Femme in 2017. It wasn't until 2018 that I spoke about money. Because although I had massive conviction about money and I knew it for me and I could help my clients, one on one with it. If I imagined broadcasting, I did not feel convinced that I felt safe with that conviction live. And so you want to really question that because it's not just because you know the topic, and it's not just because you're good at it. And it's not even just because it's part of your brand that you may have the conviction to speak. It may have the conviction to talk about it, but not the conviction to speak it. And the one way to elevate your brand at broadcast level is you do not talk on the Internet. You talk on the phone with your friends, you talk with your clients, you talk with your partners, you talk between peers. But you speak on the Internet. You do not speak about a topic unless you're willing to broadcast it. And broadcast comes with absolute conviction and the ability to handle the opposition. If your voice is being limited for any reason, it is either because you are afraid of sounding too convinced and triggering people. You're worried you're going to upset people. You're afraid of what people might say when they don't agree with you. And all of that is creating a shield. So it's better that you speak on softer topics where you can have ultimate conviction. So what are some topics when you just kind of think about. Think about it real quick. What are some topics that you're like, I would. I would be able to speak about this with absolute conviction. What are some things that are like. I don't even know at this point. If someone was to oppose me on this topic, I wouldn't. I wouldn't even be bothered. So what are those things? Marrying an immigrant soul Gifts. Emotions manifested in the body. Gratitude Conflict resolution. Ending the stigma of addiction. The influence of environment on identity Worthiness Food Relationship Freedom Travel Investing Invest in a beautiful life. Inner healing. Reiki Kindness and compassion. Name coding. Love Relationships. The way to show up for yourself, no matter what. Connection with nature. Feminine power. Creating wealth and real estate. Self worth Projectorhood, Human design Stress management Mindset. Our thoughts create our reality. School leadership New world Education. Mindfulness, Radical self responsibility and Tarot Spirituality. Joy time Relationship Energetics. Narcissistic relationships. Money Nervous system Regulation Embodied communication Mindset. Now, have you noticed that I've read some and in your body you might have felt like, oh, I would not. That was not one of mine. I wish. But I don't hit my mouth. No, not yet. You might hear one go. I wish I. I wish I felt like I could just talk about that right now. But then inside it's like But I don't feel like I could just talk about that right now. This is where our voice gets confused. With social media. You hear someone talking about something and you love hearing them talk about it and you want to talk about it and then you immediately try to talk about it. And that lowers your brand by a lot because then you're caught talking on the Internet and people can feel it when you're talking, they can feel it when it's not embodied, they can feel it when it's not a broadcast. When you're not totally convinced, they can feel it and your value picks a notch down. Now why is this so powerful and so important is because what I have found is that there are two different kinds of people who are going to be listening to my broadcasts on social media. The people who know me and expect my standard and the people who don't know me. The people who know me and expect my standards, who all of a sudden watch a live stream where I'm just talking, are going to be like, what just happened? It will change that absolute conviction that every time you click on my face there's going to be value in the microphone. But worse, there are the people who've never seen me before and never heard me before. And sometimes all you get is one shot. And so I really contemplated this for myself. In life, people say you only get one chance at a first impression, but on the Internet, this is so wild because you don't actually know what your first impression is going to be. You can say that, you could say like, today I'm putting my best foot forward today. If I had make a first impression today, it's going to be great. And it's like, great. What if the person that's meeting you today doesn't click on today's video, they click on yesterday's video first. So I don't believe in producing tons of content non stop tons of content. I believe in producing the type of content that even if you found it next week or next month or next year, you'd go, whoa, that was potent, that was powerful. And so for that you've got to train your speaking voice. So when you look at the beginning of my journey, I don't sound like what I sound like now. My voice is a lot higher, my body language is different, I'm a lot wobblier, I'm a lot more like, I get confuffled. I don't have the same vocabulary, I say a lot more. I do sometimes talk, sometimes you can feel it on the live streams. The only Way I got to where I am right now is by speaking consistently. And here's what I did once I really started to understand this concept. I would speak in my Facebook group or I would speak on my personal profile and talk in my Facebook group. I would talk on my coaching calls, but I would speak on the podcasts. I would talk in environments where people already knew me in a context where I could try stuff out, but I would only speak in the places where someone could meet me as a first time impression. So on a podcast, when I'm looking to see who I'm podcasting with, one of the top things I look for and what my team is looking for when they're agreeing to get me on the podcast is, are, are they the kind of people who like to talk on their podcast, or are they capable of holding the energy of a speaker on their podcast? You'd be surprised. Even in being interviewed in podcasts, I've had people not know how to support me in speaking. I've had people invite me and then just want to talk to me. Those podcasts are not valuable for the audience. They're not valuable for me. The only person it's valuable for is the person who gets to say, I got to talk to Melanie and layer today. Those are not the correct podcasts for me. But how much thought, how much studying, how much actual questioning and contemplating that I need to do in order to get to where I am now, in order to say, what is worth my investment of my voice, what is worth the investment of my voice, of my time are the podcasts where people are able to hold the, the vibration of a speaker. And yes, it's true that those podcasts often have more visibility. So there's two things that are going to happen here. Some of you are more advanced in your businesses. You're going to listen to this and you're going to know exactly what you're going to be like, oh, I am raising the bar today. I just got the biggest breakthrough. I got it. And some of you will be like, well, wait a minute, how do we even get to that point? I don't know. I don't, I don't even know what, I don't know. What do I do? If that's where you are, what you're going to do is you are going to practice speaking as often as possible. Even if you don't nail it, you're going to start to watch your live streams after you've done them. And I know that is a very unpleasant thing to do at first, but you're going to watch. You're going to watch. Oh, there I got. I fell out of my speaker identity entirely. I felt it. I got in my head. Look, I can see it there. This topic I feel really good about. This topic I don't feel really good about. My voice is really good there. And then all of a sudden, I got all really high pitched. And that's interesting that I did that. And you're going to start looking not to criticize, to study. To study. Because here's the thing. If you don't like listening to your voice, and I need you to really get this. If you don't like listening to your voice, they don't either. The only reason you don't like listening to your voice is because it doesn't represent your power as you know it to be. That's the only reason. You hear your voice and you say, that's not. That's not the power of me. You hear your voice and you say, that doesn't sound like everything I'm capable of. You hear your voice and you're like, that's not my power. You hear your voice and you say, that's not. That doesn't sound like what I know my. My voice can be. And so the only way that you will find what your voice can be is by listening to the voice that you're producing and studying it. I can now listen to myself with absolutely no problem. I can listen to myself without flinching at all. I actually never get the thought my voice, which was literally the first thing I'd ever think anytime I heard my voice on recording. I never think that anymore. But I studied my voice as a broadcast. This goes beyond do I sound good or not? This is. Is the frequency right? Is the transmission right? Is my power in the house? Am I speaking or talking? Is my inflection correct or am I escaping my power with questions at the end? Is my pace correct or am I rushing through it as though I don't have a list listener? Am I. Is my. Is my frequency correct or am I like, in a stressful place or am I solid? You're going to hear that in you. And anytime the answer is, that's not me. It doesn't sound like me. This isn't right. You don't judge that. You say, hey, I can tell that. That is incredible. I have the consciousness to tell, this is my not voice. This is not it. The voice identity connection is skewed. I'm more powerful than this. That is a great thing for you to Notice. And I. I feel like a lot of times people will disregard these things and say, you gotta be nicer to yourself. It's normal to not like your voice. You know, people don't like pictures of themselves, and they say, it's normal not to like your picture. Don't. Don't be so bad about yourself. But what I like to do is to say, whoa, my posture is not great. I need to work on that. Instead of like, oh, my gosh, I'm so terrible. It's like, okay, my posture was not great in that. Not my sitting. You know, it's like, that's my resting face. I need to have an under smile, because that is not good. That's what I look like when you take a picture. And I don't know. I'm not gonna judge. I'm not gonna judge myself. Like, I'm not enough, but I'm gonna notice things like, I need to work on my posture. I need to work on that under smile. Like, there's a vibe about a person when they're not. They don't know they're being looked at. This is my vibe. I don't like it. I can do better than that. When you hear your voice and it's lazy. There's no power. It all ends in a question. You sound unsure. You talk really fast. It's all squeaky. You're like, gosh, what was I. What was I doing there? Then you hear yourself differently. You're like, whoa, there is power in that. That was epic. That was really good. I'm really happy with this. But at first, you might have not as many of those moments as you would prefer. At first, you're going to have a lot more of like, don't like that, don't like that, don't like that, don't like that. But what I want to empower you with is that this is why your voice isn't being heard yet. It's not being heard yet because it's not ready yet. But it gets ready really fast when you start focusing on it. We can change things so quickly when we focus. And the fact is, you get to talk in your life. You can talk with your partner. You can talk with your mom on your phone. You can talk. You can talk, but not when you're hoping to be paid. When you're hoping to be paid, you speak. If you could imagine. And I love the way the animation goes where there's, like, a yellow light that comes out of my mouth and kind of wraps itself around the people that are Listening. That's what speaking does. Talking is like a ping pong match. Bing bong, bing bong, bing bong, bing bong, bing bong, bing bong, bing bong. It often goes like, oh, my gosh. I was. I was talking to my friend and she said something. I can't remember what it was. Anyway, it was so funny. Well, that's valuable. Versus, like, I was listening to a podcast today and the person said, blah, blah, blah. I even took notes. Listen to this. I remember when people speak. I do not remember when people talk. So how was. How the conversation with this person go? Oh, it's good. It was good. Okay, so what's new in their life? I mean, you know, just regular stuff. Well, they didn't tell you about blah blah. Yeah, they did. I don't think we spent much time on it, though. I can't really remember, to be honest. Like, that's what typical stuff sounds like. Remember I told you last week that I did. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Meanwhile, when someone speaks, you literally tattoo it on your forearm. You've got a notebook full of quotes, and there's things that you find yourself saying in your head. Like, I remember this. This quote. This will stay with me forever. That's a spoken quote. That's someone. Something someone said when they were speaking, not something they said when they were talking. There's a frequency. So the crazy thing about a broadcast, if you think about a radio station, there's a frequency. I think that there's a sound that comes out of your mouth and there's a frequency of talking or speaking. It's like a dialogue. Have you ever seen an artist rehearse a song when they're not on stage and think, that's not the greatest voice? When they're rehearsing, when they're like, you know, so let's say it goes like that. They're talking and they're singing like that. You're like, oh, that wasn't great. But then you hear them on stage and they're like, there's a difference between just doing it and doing it. Speaking is like singing on a stage versus humming in the shower. One is meant to be heard, one is not. And if we're never really trained, which most of us aren't, we want to be speakers. We want our voice to pierce a sound barrier. We want to broadcast a message and out into the world. But we have absolutely no speaker training whatsoever. Most of us talk first, and then we wonder why the podcast interviews aren't coming, or the type of podcast Interviews aren't the best. There's not a lot of views on the Facebook lives, There's not a lot of views on the Instagram lives. There's not a lot of listens on the podcast episodes. And the fact is, the majority of the population is either a manifestor or manifesting generator and everything there is to respond. And so if you're speaking and there's nothing to respond to and people aren't listening, they aren't saying that they like it, there's no nothing to respond to, the motivation dwindles. As a projector, if you're not being invited to speak, you feel like you're not being heard, no matter what's going on. As a manifester, you're here to come out into the world and literally inform people of things. If your voice isn't up to par, it feels like one of your superpowers is not in check. And so there's a lot. There's a lot of circumstances that make it that if you're not actively. And same thing with the reflector, like, all your centers are open. If you're not actively learning this, it would just not be an innate skill as a reflector, if you do not actively learn to care about the things that you desire, there's just no reason for them to be effortless for you. You have to. You have to go in and fill in the blanks. That's your job. So when we look at ourselves like a radio that has different channels, there's your channel first thing in the morning where your voice sounds a little bit like this, and you're like, it's probably not the best time for you to do a broadcast. Then you've got your, like, stressed in the meaning of the middle of the morning energy, where you're just getting everybody ready for school and everybody ready for work, and everybody's got it. That's also not your best time for a broadcast. Late at night when you're exhausted and there's nothing left in you. It's probably not that time for broadcast either. But there is a moment in the day where your voice becomes sharp. Practice speaking then. And it's not about your voice being perfect. But you will see, when you're lazy with your voice, you will notice tones, inflections, things about your voice that you're like, that doesn't feel like me. It's not so much that we don't sound like ourselves, that we don't feel like ourselves when we hear ourselves. And so I want to even empower you to Utilize the broadcast group. Now. This is not so that the Alpha Femme team or other people watch your broadcast. I want to be so clear about this. This is for you to broadcast somewhere without worrying that if you don't do it well, you're messing up. It's literally a place for you to come in and speak. You can test as often as you want. You can go live in here as often as you want. The one thing I'm going to ask you is to not use the space here to try to sell on a live stream or something like that. Like actually teach something or work with your voice. Where are you wanting to test your conviction? But don't start talking about your free masterclass or your next upcoming program or your one on one rates that will have you deleted from the group and not be able to participate to the rest. We're not. We're really going in here with the right reasons. So I'm going to let you use the live stream feature in the group for yourself, for you to study yourself. Even if nobody watches it, it doesn't matter. But I want you to focus on these few things. When you go live, I want you to notice how much you are afraid you're going to do things wrong. I want you to notice the fear of maybe choosing the wrong topic. I want you to notice if you have a fear of how long you're allowed to talk and maybe you're taking too long and maybe you should speed it up. I want you to notice if you're in your head about the way you're ending your sentences. Are you powerful or are you questioning it? Notice when you're actually focused on speaking. All of a sudden the questions are going to start to show up. And this is why most people just talk. But that's like saying in life it's just easier not to care. Then that way you don't second guess yourself. Just don't care. Don't worry about being a great partner or being in love for real. Just pick someone you don't really care about. It's a lot easier to be in a relationship with them. Then you don't wonder why they didn't call. Just pick someone you don't care about. It's much easier. It's like, oh, you're. You're stressed about being a mother. You find it difficult. You find it hard. I have a great tip. Just stop caring about your kids. It works every single time. If they fall and they cry, no problem. They're hungry, no big whoop. They need to be taken Somewhere, no stress. It doesn't matter. None of it matters. Just stop caring. So much easier to be a parent. Like, worst advice ever for everything on the planet. So care less about your speaking is also terrible advice. Don't worry so much. It's not a big deal. Yes, it is. It is if you want to be paid when you open your mouth. But. But I feel so awkward. Good start there. Let's get better at it instead of, you don't need to be awkward. It's not a big deal. You just have to. It is a big deal. People who tell you it's not a big deal aren't getting paid what they deserve. People who tell you it doesn't matter are not getting paid what they could. I'm telling you, this matters so much because I have turned off podcast episodes because I can't handle the way someone's speaking. I have switched off YouTube videos. Was like, no, don't want to. The sound of someone's voice is the difference between the message being brought to where it needs to be or not. Your voice is the ocean that carries the vessel that is your message. It doesn't even matter if the message is good if you are not in your conviction. Oh, yeah. Audio audible Audiobooks. Some people put me to sleep sometimes. I have a book, I love it so much. Kevin and I try, we're doing long distance driving. We try to put an audiobook on. I'm like, I'm going to fall asleep. I can't listen. Or Kevin's like, no, no, no. Can't listen to this person. Impossible. Can't do it. Your speaking voice, there's such a big piece of the magic. And when you think about the careers that are the actors that get the big roles, there's something about their voice. They're able to do voices, they're able to do accents, they're able to change so many things about their voice. Your voice is such an important piece of the puzzle because it's what will carry your message. And once you tap into the power of it, we can play with it. Then it's fun to start thinking about what's the best way to storytell, what's the best way to, you know, do accents or do funny things. Like when I have my silly voices and my silly accents, like those become then a fun thing to do. But I trust in the core of my voice. I trust in the power of my words. I trust in the. My ability to convey a message. Then I can play. I want for you in these five days to feel so much conviction in your voice that you would say, I am having the time of my life developing my voice so that I can then play with internality and speed and tone and all kinds of different things that make it interesting. And I can play with accents, and I can play with storytelling, and I can play with all kinds of things. But at first, I need to understand the power that is this broadcast. If I were to take your voice away tomorrow like Ursula did for the Little Mermaid, and you could no longer speak at all, I think the saddest thing would not be the day to day things you can't say anymore. It would be the things you could never say. You. You'd probably figure out how to say, pass me the water. You'd probably figure out how to say, I'm going to bed. You'd probably figure out how to say the things. But the pain of your message never having made the planet like you will never get to say the things that you want to say. That would be the worst. So we honor our voices. Why were we given a voice channel? Why were we given a voice channel in a time on Earth where people's voices are the greatest connector through podcast, through live streams, through audios like, why is it that you were given a voice right now at this time? And a dream that needs that voice in order to be made manifest? So we've got to strengthen your voice identity. When I speak, it matters. When I speak, I get paid. I am a speaker. I broadcast this voice. My voice is the ocean that transmits the message, whatever the message is. And I'm working on those messages every day. But before the message can even make it, my voice has to be able to carry it. And I will listen to it, I will pay attention to what it sounds like, and I will notice the difference between my talking and my speaking. So your homework for today is, first of all, you are going to introduce yourself to the group and explain why will it be better for you and for the world if your voice is heard? What is it about you that really it matters if your voice is heard? I want you to really contemplate that. Why does you broadcasting your voice matter? The second thing, I want you to utilize either our group or any of your platforms. And I want you to practice saying, before you go live, you're going to tell yourself, I am going to speak for this. This is me speaking. And just see with putting that context first and then you speak, what do you notice? What is different about you when you are speaking rather than talking? And if you don't know, speak. And then take it to your part, your partner, your mother, your friend, and say, does this sound like the way I normally speak? And they'll tell you what the difference is, start to notice, pay attention. What's different when I'm talking versus when I'm speaking? And the next thing is that our next session tomorrow is going to be a Q and A. So based on what we've said today, we're going to put a Q A up. I want you to start asking, like, what's coming up for you, question wise? What in what I said, is there a nuance that you need? Is there something that you're like, yeah, but what about this? Is there something that's coming up question wise? If there's no question, don't worry about it. I have material to fill tomorrow. If we have no questions, but I'd rather have a live stream and then a question to make sure that we stay on track with the information. So if you don't have a question, don't force one, but if you have one, I want to make sure I get us all up to par and it will be possible to go live directly in the broadcast group. The one thing I want to say about that though is to not utilize this group for sneaky ways. That's it. Don't be like, ooh, an opportunity to broadcast my sales pitch, be honorable, respect my space, respect each other, respect yourself. This is a group for you to better your speaking voice, your broadcast, your integrity, your voice, identity, connection. If every time you have an opportunity to speak, you try to take something that is also part of your voice identity, connection, ooh, an opportunity to talk. What could I get from this? Instead of, ooh, an opportunity to speak, what could I give here? You can tell this from people easily. So see what comes up for you, see how you feel, speak it out. And it's okay if there's discomfort or if it doesn't feel good. That's also part of the game. We want to move things and shake things up in this program. My desire for you is that by the end of these five days, you value your voice like you never have in your entire life. That you believe in every fiber of your being that when you speak, things change on this planet. When you speak, you get paid. When you speak, the right people are connected to you. When you speak, it matters. So this is the beginning of that journey. Thank you so much for being here for module one and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
