And I really want to talk about burnout. And a lot of us know, you know, what those burnout characteristics feel like. You know, for me, it's compassion fatigue first and foremost. When I'm sitting in a session face-to-face or virtually with a client or in group counseling, and I'm struggling to tap into genuine authentic compassion, and I may even be experiencing internal eye rolls— that is not coming from my authentic self. That is coming from burnout. That is coming from working myself too hard. And after a few years of being in one of most high-intensity environments clinically, where there was so much death, both personally and professionally. Like I mentioned, being in recovery and working in recovery and treatment centers was so much, and I found myself shutting down.
