This also has to do a lot with personality styles and knowing yourself. Know thyself. I am like so incredibly Type A and overproductive, and so like I write a note as soon as the session is over. I run a billing report as soon as that report closes. Have you had the pattern of having endless notifications on your phone, not answering emails in a timely fashion, you know, going avoidant when you're stressed or overwhelmed or overworked? These are things to know about yourself because for me, I think I take it for granted. I don't think it's a fixed thing, and I think that's a sort of flaw that we have, like, oh, I'm someone who, or like, oh, I'm the type of person— like, we are capable of change, and we're usually in these negative feedback loops. You probably already know that if you're a therapist, but doesn't mean you apply it to yourself. Lord knows I didn't.
