The speaker recounts quitting their job in 2019, describes six years of trial-and-error learning, and promises many free downloadable materials covering practical topics (e.g., 1099 vs W-2, insurance credentialing, and other business setup questions) as well as a supportive community for therapists.

Chapters

Are you a therapist? Are you overworked and underpaid and burnt out and you're questioning if you even want to do this with your life? Same. That was me in 2019 when I finally quit my job and started my own private practice. And I wish there were more materials out there that told you exactly how to do it. I'm going to be creating a website that has a shit ton of free downloadable materials in terms of how to start a private practice. Do you hire 1099 or W-2? How do you credential with insurance? How do you do literally anything? Because we were not fucking taught business stuff in graduate school. Well, I'm happy to say that I learned through trial and error over the last 6 years, and I'm just gonna dedicate all of my waking time to creating a space for therapists to come together, support each other, and have the resources to start their own private practice.
