So what happens is when I tell this in a workshop, no people don't register for this program at all. That is why I don't tell them. So today, before I bring the mystery guest, this person has been with Design for Change for the last three to four months. I guess she was the one who watched all of her 100 days of 100 skills in YouTube.
So I am Charvi Jain and I'm part of this community from February. The moment I changed my resume for all the job descriptions, considering all the keywords, I started getting the results actually in the evening head of HR called me that we are revising your offer. This is your offer now can you give a hundred percent thumbs up for signing the offer letter?
So today before I bring the mystery guest, this person has been with Design for Change for the last three to four months. I guess she was the only student who follows religiously and I would not say only, it's one among the few people who does everything very religiously. What we are discussing, she was the one who watched all of our 100 days of hundred skills in YouTube. How many of you watched that? She's been a complete game changer in the hackathon. Because of her, her entire team went into a complete toss. The output, the kind of energy what she is already always bring into the hackathon was extremely higher. In fact I am very happy to have such kind of a people in our community. But in Charvi Jain's session, you know what happened? Hundred percent of the community members are completely active for that 40 minutes. I think 40 minutes or something that activity. So I have learned a lot of things from her.
So I am Charvi Jain and I'm part of this community from February this year and I already have 1.5 years of experience as a UI UX designer but I have a career break of one year. I was actually struggling a lot and when I joined DFC already six months were gone in a career break. So my confidence was very low. I was not in a very good condition. But when I joined DFC I was like, oh, people are waking up at 5:30. Ideally this case study should have come in the felicitation but it's okay, no issues.
In fact we are giving in the retreat event. Don't worry, all of the your team is actually exceptionally performed because you will have to know a project can be done. But there are more things I have to do after the projects which is going to bring the people close to you, which is going to bring the recruiter close to you. And then you, you sell yourself in that way you get to see the whole output. People who are attending interviews. Aditi was also not believing that before when she started attending many interviews, she itself said yagish, the questions what you told to ask me is changing the whole game. Now I'm getting a lot of people sticking to the interview process till there.
When she had a call now. So I told her that I am part of this community. She told where do you learn all this? How are you so good in these numbers? I told my mentor is Jagdish and he's the inspiration for me. And we have sessions in the morning, 5:30. She was amazed that do really people come in the sessions? Do they wake up in the morning this early? I said yes, yes people do come. And we get a very good strength of 70 to 80 people daily in the morning. So she was, she was at that moment only flat on me. And she said, okay, we'll contact you in the next, for the next year.
Yes.
The moment I changed my resume for all the job descriptions, considering all the keywords, I started getting the results. Actually I started getting the first phone calls from the hrs. So that's the first thing we should all consider because having those keywords in our resume is the priority. Because that's the first ultimate thing to get that everything, everybody should follow that. And even if you don't see any job description and you are connecting with people on LinkedIn and sharing resumes, you should study about the company well and you should see their about section. That about section actually has many keywords. So those keywords you can include in your resume.
But the point is the intention of the person has to be first there and then only these things will appear in front of you. There is thousands of opportunities where you can go and find out the pattern and get ahead. One contact, one quality network in your LinkedIn or or maybe in your personal can change your entire career in a whole new different way. That is what we saw in the Monday session also influence building and social media reach, right? So please understand that according to me you don't need a project to get even hired in a company. How many of you are shocked? You don't need a portfolio to get hired.
You don't need a portfolio to get hired. I also had this perception, but it's actually false.
So what happens is when I tell this in a workshop, no, people don't register for this program at all. That is why I don't tell them because they are in the shortcut mindset they don't understand. No, no. This guy is telling something. Reality is reality. That is why I come and tell in the inner circle. Recharge.
Then. Jagdish, you told me to wait for one day. You know, I told you at the night that should I sign this offer and you don't just wait. I was in a thought that what should I do? Why did he told me to wait? And the next day in afternoon HR called me. What happened, Charvi? You didn't sign the letter. What is the reason? And I told her that you are undervaluing people and this is the percentage of your company's growth. And I gave her all the numbers and she was actually amazing. In the evening, head of HR called me that we are revising your offer. This is your offer. Now can you give a hundred percent thumbs up for signing the offer letter? Because we want you. You are very energetic. You are. You have upskilled yourself with AI tools and we want you. Actually that was the point. I thought, okay, some companies actually valuing me a very good thing. That's a very good thing and I should actually sign it. So then I asked should I sign this offer? And then I signed this.
So that waiting has made your value grow high. How many of you don't have this patience? We are having a level of mindset, scarity, scarcity. Right, Scarcity mindset. My mentor used to always tell by please give me something. So if that kind of a mindset, if you're operating, you cannot attract this kind of an opportunities. Okay? That waiting time will increase your value, your market value increases. And every time when somebody gets the offer, try to get three offers more. That is where your market value also can be shown high in the same company also you can ask them for a negotiation that I am already getting 12 LPA, 14 LPA. Why don't you consider this at least a little bit? So that is the place where you can do that. And you have to sense that if because me and Sharvi both know very clearly this person, this company needs her.
