🎬 Hackathon 6.0 – Team 9 UXPLORERS | Movie Screening

Team UXPLORERS built BioNerva, an app that schedules biomedical waste pickups for Indian clinics, where 30-35% of waste is improperly segregated. The app tracks pickups in real time and generates digital certificates. Judge Jagadeesh P called the presentation next level but suggested adding real-time visualizations and citing data sources like WHO.
Chapters
Okay, so welcome Gokul, Deepika, Tina, Janvi, Akshay, and Aruna, Varshika, Havila. Super. Go ahead, guys. Over to you. Yeah.
One fine day.
You're able to see my screen? Yeah.
One fine day.
It's audible? Audible. You can play from the beginning.
One fine day, Ramu began his journey to his clinic. And as he drove through the city, he noticed cows eating garbage from open dumping areas and sanitary workers handling waste with their bare hands. A sight that disturbed him deeply and made him curious. Pushing him to search online, where he watched a video that said, "Every day, healthcare saves lives, but every day, it also creates something dangerous." He learned that a single small clinic produces 2 to 4 kilograms of biomedical waste every day, and across India, hospitals, labs, and clinics generate over 600 tons of biomedical waste daily, creating a massive impact on the environment and causing serious pollution. While other countries follow proper systems like segregation, incineration, and dedicated disposal processes that reduce harm to people and the environment, in India most people fail to notice or understand this issue, where nearly 30-35% of biomedical waste is improperly segregated, tracked, or disposed of, with no real-time monitoring, no digital records, and no accountability. This negligence puts healthcare workers, waste handlers, animals, and entire communities at risk from infections, needlestick injuries, and environmental contamination. Sanitary workers protested, media covered these problems, yet no proper system existed, making Ramu question himself, "Am I being responsible?" When he reached his clinic, patients were entering as usual, but he noticed biomedical waste piling up, nurses and lab technicians frustrated by manual handling and handwritten logs, leaving him confused and concerned until he discovered BioNerva, an application designed for biomedical waste management. With BioNerva, waste pickup can be scheduled easily. Drivers receive instant notifications, arrive at the clinic, collect waste from lab technicians, and track the entire process in real time. Making it professional and trustworthy, before handing over the waste at authorized biomedical facilities, after which the doctor receives confirmation of successful disposal. Certificates are generated, documentation is completed automatically, lab technicians feel relieved, the doctor feels proud of making a positive environmental impact, and all of this becomes possible through BioNerva. It's not a application, its over-responsibility, and the pillars of BioNerva Team UXplores.
Mind-blowing, mind-blowing, next level, guys. Superb, superb, short, to the point, sweet, crystal clear, next level. Do you guys need any presentation or explanation for this? Not at all required. Super, guys. Wonderful, wonderful. Any other, any other people who want to ask doubts, clarifications? Then I will go from my side. Excellent story. Yeah. So how did you guys actually come up with this problem statement? Gokul, when he's sleeping in the middle of the night, it came into his head.
So we have two members who have already worked in this biomedical and their biotechnologists, I guess, like Tina and as well as Vashika. So it was their idea, and I think they faced this issue, and then even I agreed. Like, when, when we did the research, I think everybody agreed.
The statistics is very clear. Thank you.
Yeah, that, that's how it came.
Simplicity. I really like this team's simplicity, guys. Everything is covered to the point. I mean, even the visuals is very clear. The user persona is very clear. The problem statement is very clear. The impact is very clear. The visual screens is very clear. The objective and the use case is very clear. The afterlife is very clear. The villain is also very clear. What else I need? I would like to hire these people. That's what recruiter will only talk, right or not? And I would recruit that person also. One more person, go please, Hari, right or not? If that baby is also in that environment, no, soon that baby We also think like a design thinker, right? All the best, guys. Super wonderful. And, uh, I would open to audience and Rachita to ask any questions.
Yeah, I don't have any questions actually, but I remember in the beginning when they were— we were talking about problem statements and they presented this, I was not convinced of this problem statement. I kept telling them that, guys, please do the research, see if it is actually valid or not, because I'm not 100% sure that, you know, when clinical waste goes out, I believe that it should— like, it is being monitored and not, you know, in normal trash and everything. But they persevered, they pushed through with this problem statement, and I'm so glad they did because it's come out with such a beautiful result. The project has come out great, and I couldn't be more happier. And even their logo and the branding of the product— good job, very good job.
I also have one waste disposal project. Every design college student will have one waste disposal. That is why I'm also a little scared in the starting. Yo, these people are redesigning Swiggy again. But this is a little unique thing what you guys have produced. I'm super happy, same like Rachita. Yeah, there are some minor feedbacks which I will give you, which is like your voice was missing, that particular real-time visuals you guys have to bring. Have you seen this Car Connect project? Have you seen this Mavi app? So the real application cost solution will be there. There is a little bit of AI mismatches there, try to bring that. See, perfect the models. It's not about using AI now, if bachas are using, you need to perfect that model. And keep the visuals little clear. Wherever it's not possible, you added it, you edit it in the timeline using VEED software or CapCut or Canva, edit whatever. Try adding that, it becomes more professional. In your team, beautiful people are there, like Gokul is there, he will give lot of creative videos. Why voiceover is used in AI? Tina is an influencer, Deepika is there, you big, big people are there in your team. So you guys have to use that voiceover and That is a little bit missing, I believe. And key screens, you can put it in the— this one, the AI visualization, I think I've covered. Rest is good. At the end, I'm thinking to produce it in the— I'm thinking to play it in the— this one, uh, webinar. Then it'll think, Jagadeesh, do you really guide this team? Something like that should be the question, right? I'm just kidding, but add it properly. Like, the credentials is very important. You have to explain about your team members who played what. If anybody key helped in your key research during your medical bio waste, any doctors, you got to mention them. That's called a code of honor. That's honesty. You should not claim that this is my data, right or not? Even the statistics also you have to mention subtly. It's taken from WHO website, it's taken from this place, so that it becomes a proper work. Okay, thank you guys. No conversation, that's it. More power to you. Go, girl! Tina, Varshika, and Deepika, Havila.
