In this hackathon presentation, Team Hive Designs (members include Deepthi, Ajita, and others) introduce "SoulSync" (also called Soulcinq), a personalized physical‑and‑digital kit aimed at improving emotional connection between parents and children aged 3‑7. They outline the problem: young children express emotions through behavior rather than words, leading to parental frustration, frequent shouting, and a broken emotional bond. Their research cites statistics such as 80% of parents shout daily and 20‑24% of preschoolers exhibit behavioral challenges. The solution is a kit customized via a questionnaire that identifies 15 child behavioral traits, then delivers tailored activities, toys, and digital resources for parents. The kit emphasizes tactile, color‑coded, and material‑based design to foster engagement without relying on screens. Jagadeesh P, a mentor/judge, provides feedback, praising the empathy‑driven approach, urging focus on the high‑impact age range, suggesting benchmarking against brands like Baby Hug, and recommending attention to packaging, texture, and competitor analysis. He also notes the novelty of a truly customized kit in the market. The dialogue includes repeated requests for the PPT, clarification of the digital component for parents, and affirmation of the team's innovative, out‑of‑the‑box thinking.

Superb. So now let's go for the last team, who is Hive Designs. So the Hive Designs, all the people looks like nerd here. You, you Even your logo also looks like Jeevanand, Rakshana, Deepti, Shelly, Priya, Kumar Reddy. Kumar Reddy for sure is not nerd, except all Kumar Reddy, all the people look like nerd only. Okay, let's see this team how they're going to present. Okay, go ahead. You, Ajita, sorry, I, I pinned you back. Okay, where are you? Okay guys, thank you so much. Please continue. Starts now. People who ever play movies at the last, they have a blasting thing. Okay, how many of you observe this? PPT first and movie last is really working. Let's have it from the next hackathon like that. Okay, you wanted to do—
okay, express themselves through behavior, bursts of energy, shy silence, moments of frustration, or getting lost in screens. And parents can carrying so many pressures often feel unsure how to help. This is where SoulSync steps in. SoulSync starts by listening. A simple questionnaire understands your child's nature and offers a customized physical kit filled with activities and games, turning everyday challenges into moments of connection and growth. SoulSync—Tiny Activities, Big Smiles.
Super guys, go ahead with the PPT. I want to see the PPT because I'm still not fully gone through the solution. I definitely want the PPT. Yeah, yeah, yeah, let's, let's come guys, let's come, let's come one more time to this appreciation.
Wait, uh, go ahead. Hi guys, so this is Deepthi from Team 11. So today we are going to walk you through the problem that we have explored and why it really matters. Okay, so we have brought Soulcinq, a personalized kit to enhance children's emotional connect. So why do we really need Soulcinq? So children between the age of 3 to 7 does not understand the way of emotion that they deliver. Like, they deliver through behavior, and the words are very less, and parents are feeling frustrated about that. They really don't understand the behavior what the child shows. So this creates a gap where the child feels unheard and the parents are feeling really disconnected. So over the time, what happens is the emotional understanding between the between the parent and the child is broken. It's completely broken. So this is what we thought of solving this. And the metrics that we— that is shown here is 80% of the parents report shouting daily, and followed by regret, because they regret because of shouting. And 20-24% preschool children exhibit behavior challenges. So this is also something which is really important that we need to focus, and 1% of children needing mental health support. So, uh, thinking all of this and supporting this as our problem statement, uh, we brought a solution.
So, yeah, for this we have brought like a solution of creating the kits which are like going to change their tantrums and those kind of interventions with them. Because those kind of things we can't change it in a day or in a month and in a week and all. It, it has to be happen in a like customer phase, uh, which will work in a way like in, in case of child, like everybody moving towards screens and YouTube videos. So we plan like to create, uh, environment with the toys which is, uh, going to help them, uh, to enhance the emotional connect between the parent as well, parent and the child. And with that, we have created both digital as well as the physical kits. But digital thing is for the parent. They will be, uh, they use these kind of, uh, these are digital, uh, got it, got it.
They'll customize it on the input what they're getting from Yes, yes.
And, uh, we have, we have customized these kind of kits based on the questionnaire, and we have also documented the thing like, uh, what kind of colors we are going to use for those kind of traits and the materials, because those are— those things will also play a major role in the emotional connect with the child.
Separate hackathon project.
We have, oh yeah, we have documented The thing is, Jagadeesh, like, we researched it completely and we saw that between the age of 3 to 7, there are particularly 15 traits that the children is having. So with this as a base, we thought like we can just customize this particular kit between the age of 3 to 7. We'll just have those questionnaires, we'll ask the parents, and we'll customize with behavioral traits. So we will have only 15 traits.
No, no, that's good. Yeah, so we have to rest because we don't have to address all the market. First of all, the age what you narrow down itself is really beautiful, high impact age particularly. 16 traits is really good. You don't have to go beyond this. Even to customize that itself takes a lot of time. And I wanted to know who has given this idea of kit in your team?
Um, like We collectively ideated and yeah, at last I think we were told like, no, we went, we went for gadget because we thought of going for gadget. But one thing that you guys have gone out of the box, that's what I'll say.
Gadget or card, you guys have come out of this world of— you guys are coming out of the crowd, simply to put. Everybody's going to become successful designers, that's it. All the best. This is a wonderful solution. Out of all the solutions, I would really respect this because of that empathy. Pure empathy is felt here. You guys have understood the lag in screen mobile app. Let's not build it. Let's understand my audience better and let's go one level deeper and see kids. How will kid— first of all, do you think kid will use it? Without touching the kid, you cannot solve this problem, right? So what does really interact with the kid? You guys have asked that question. I think that is why the answer is clear. That is why the— this one slide is explaining everything. Yeah, later you can work on tactile packaging, material, texture, color, eatable. You can just take experience of examples of Lego, Fun School. You can go to their websites and see Hamley. They have all created all the guidelines for gaming and kids and everything, but the idea is next level. Will you guys do any benchmark competitor?
Uh, yeah, Jagadeesh, we have made like— there is no custom, there is no customized kits. They are selling, uh, play items, but there is no customized.
Definitely there, you have to check. You know this brand called, uh, uh, what is that here? Baby Hug. Baby Hug has this product, but in a different way. You can check it immediately in their website. Okay, okay, check it, check it. It's good to check Nothing, uh, nothing to stop in your solution. I'm saying just have some reference. Maybe you can pick more ideas from there. I'm saying, okay.
Yeah, and we also mainly choose this because we want to go out of the digital world because children are currently facing— most parents are saying that in our research also, uh, we came across that children are using mobiles a lot. So every teaching are happening in mobile. So we thought we'll just come out of it and we'll go with physical focus.
So I think you guys have to definitely build this. I'm taking it into patent, I'm taking it into next level. You have to build it physically. You find some vendor or somebody, you have to definitely do it, okay? You'll have to sponsor it on your own because the patent is going to come in your name only. Because I wanted you to keep it— it's not like Design for Change. You have to use it as a team, as a patent. You project it as your brand, that you— this is your unique solution. This is your unique thought process. This will get you into any design studio. One of my friends, she's working in Hamley. She would be really happy when she, when she, when she sees that a person who is not having any design degree, a person who is practicing hackathons in online course, is able to bring this much of unique thing. She'll feel a little hesitant. She is actually one of the top designers in the country. She is in toy design. She studied game and toy design in NID. NID takes only 10 people people for game and toy design. She is in the internet. Hamley is an international brand. She's now trying for fun school also. Her name is Trinidi. I'll give her contact. You guys can have a meeting with this, this lady and you can get in touch. Not for getting job or internship, just show this idea. You— she will give you a lot of feedbacks. She'll give you a lot of customization. She is— she's doing exactly the same thing only. How a lorry should look like, how a toy should look like. What emotional response it will create, what autism kids will have behavior when they touch this material. So all this research she is doing in the Hamley already. Get in touch with her, okay? I'll give the contact, but, but please build it, guys.
