Day 19- How to Identify expectation of Industry -Skill Booster 100 Day Challenge

Jagadeesh P teaches how to research industry expectations and company culture using LinkedIn, job descriptions, and tools like Statista. The session covers networking strategies and analyzing what employers actually want in education and healthcare sectors.
Yes, welcome guys welcome. So kindly move to. Kindly move to panelists and please request. And I also made you guys co host. Welcome guys welcome. So kindly move to. Yes, yes I've given you permission to move guys to panelists. So kindly move it. So we'll be starting the call in a minute. Sorry took two minutes delay. Actually we should have started at 6.01. Yeah, I can see you are making co host. Kindly help others also guys to become co host. Since I made you guys co host.
Okay so take care and switch on.
The camera and come forward.
Okay.
For everyone. Okay so Arvind and Muthu kindly help others whoever is joining.
Okay.
Fine, just give me a thumbs up. Yes.
No. Yes sir.
Yes. Yes. That's great guys.
Okay.
Very good morning. So today we have a very vital topic which is called how to identify what the industry is expecting. In fact this is, this is a question which lot of students don't ask. That is the reason I'm telling you. But this is a very very hidden point. Hidden pain point. And if you get the answers for this question many of your job search process will get sorted. Many of your job search process will go into a very easy PC cake only once if you understand this scientific fact, what is there behind it? And also I wanted to tell you if you pay close attention now, if you are paying close attention now, the way in which you are going to get the transformation in the next few weeks it is unimaginable. So that is why this class is damn, damn important.
Okay?
So pay close attention. I am just sharing the screen. Just a second. Fine, so I'm going to share my screen now. Wait for a sec. Kindly help others as well guys, okay? To make them co host so that they can become, I mean they can switch on their cameras. Okay Aravind and other people, okay. Kindly be in YouTube also if you wanted to talk, you can open the mic and talk.
No issue.
Somebody is there in mute.
Okay?
Yes guys, welcome. So we are in the day 19 of the skill booster session and I wanted to reiterate one more time that skill booster session is not just to listen lectures and leap. Each of the skill is a art. You have to go and practice it multiple times to become a master of it without prematurely understanding this. And then if you are going and applying it, you will not get the fruitful results. So each and every skill, whatever I'm teaching you, you have to go and try it out and test it out and make multiple time attempts. Then and only it will become a skill and slowly you Become a master of it. You don't have to master the 100 skills. You have to master whichever is really required for you to achieve your goal. Okay so if that is okay, go to your YouTube stream and type out.
Okay.
Yes Jagdish, I understood what you're trying to say. I got what you're saying. So please go and type out. I want everybody to go and type out in the chat. What do you think? Okay, I'm also pasting the stream key guys. You can what you call. Yeah, please go ahead and you can, you can go and watch out there and type out your comments. But anyway I'm pasting it. You here also.
Okay.
For everyone. I'm pasting. You can take it. That's cool. Okay, fine. So in the day 19 we are going to learn how to identify the expectation of a company. In fact this is. I, I told you, right? This is not a big question which student ask but this is a question. In fact they don't know whether it's very important or not. That may be the case. So they're thinking companies like this. I know how to apply. I know, yeah, these companies are there.
No?
Yeah, I had to go and apply. But how to identify their expectation? There is a deep meaning behind this question.
Okay.
Apart from their roles, job description, apart from their website. All these things is there. But today we are going to see something very interesting also. First of all, let me open this.
Okay.
How to identify the expectation of a company. The key concept we are going to explain today.
Okay.
So first of all why it is very important see if you're not understanding what is the expectation of the projects, what you're going to work or for the company, what you're going to work. It is utter waste of time. You have to deeply understand. I can see many times people are not even reading the job description properly. I don't know like people are jumping here and they're not focused. First understand why in first place the job vacancy is created and how you are going in fulfilling it. In fact this is the most, most vital thing I, I would say particularly if it's a tech industry or healthcare. Make sure your skill set also has that kind of a capability towards that. So that study is what is majorly required. First you have to understand the other people there. First you have to listen to what these people are saying. What is the job description available in the particularly in head edutech and healthcare. In fact one of our student Arind has asked this question so he was more into healthcare and industry okay. So he wants that. So that is the reason I'm also specifically telling you like it can be applied for all the industries also. But I'm going to give you some case studies related to education and healthc care.
Okay.
Education and healthcare is the goal many people have as the designers. So it would be highly effective if I teach you that skill. Okay, so think about it like let's say if you are ideally inside my program there is a document called Codex document. You would have filled that document and you would be absolutely sure what kind of industry you wanted to go and play your skill with and what kind of an industry you want to start your career with. So that clarity will be there. But ideally fine if you're just listening to the first time, just watch it out, no problem. Okay, so first of all let me tell you why it is very important to align the benefit of the employer need. Obviously it increases the chance of interview. It shows that the awareness of the trend. What happens is this demonstrates the knowledge and shows the awareness of the trend. This is what is the trend happening and you will be able to exhibit it exactly in the way how it is required the moment if you are able to do it guys, it would be much easier for the people to give you opportunities to go ahead.
Okay, just.
Just a second guys. Just a second. Yeah guys, if anybody wants co host please ask me. I'll give you and others please help whoever has join new like let's say Muthu and Manikandan has kindly help others also become co host so that they can switch on their camera.
Okay, good. Yeah.
And the c is it shows your proactivity. See people who are very proactive in job search process. They are 30 to 40 percentage more likely to get job. In fact this is one statistics also the interesting fact is these people know exactly what the industry is going to have by multiple sources. You can do it guys. You don't have to only read the job description. You can read their website, you can read their. You can talk to their employees. Anyway we're going to see that in detail. But there are multiple ways you can go and approach an industry to understand what is really required even before going and sitting into the interview hall. The clarity and the information and the data what you're going to collect. It's very crucial. Imagine if you have this much of data clear clarity before you go and attend this interview. You can literally crack that interview like anything. You will be telling answers more than whatever these people are asking you.
Okay?
So that is why that expectation is Very important first to identify in a very, very preactive way. So how to become proactive and get the information Jagdish. We are going to see it guys. Okay, so just wait. So what are the misconceptions? Let me tell you. All companies wants the same expectation. This is the most, most, most preconception misconception. People say hey UI design Ra they will do this wireframe so they'll do this prototype. Other lose research.
No.
Some company require you to make a deep wireframe. Some company requires you to make the final iterative prototypes. So some company will make you do only research. Some company will make you do coding as well as this one. So every industry has a different, different way to approach is not a fixed role. Yeah. In a broader way they would call yourself, they would call us a UI UX designer or perhaps a UX designer. But if you go to the depth of this word there are multiple layers of meaning behind it. That is the reason. I'm exactly telling you that the reason is every industry's business nature is very different. Like let's say if it's a edutech industry, like let's say if it's a healthcare industry most probably you will have to do product research before going and making a solution. So you need to be a very good researcher. Second, you should have a greater understanding towards medical needs. So that is not written in the job description but you will have to know it. What is mean by class A devices, class B devices and medical products and what kind of equipment is there? What kind of standards Indian Medical association is following. So some basic knowledge you will have to gather. They will not put you in the job description guys, that is expected. But think about it, okay? And also make sure the. I mean this is one misconception, okay. The another miscon Consumption is company expects expectations unclear. Look for the signals in the job description. So company expectation is unclear. In fact I'll tell you what company expectation is always clear only. But. But you are telling like that. But if you go very deep, if you talk to the people, if you talk to the recruiters, if you talk to the people who are working inside, if you go and understand their job description or the website data properly, by understanding their business nature you will find what is the exact clarity they require. Don't get swayed away by this in a conventional job search process and keep on searching it.
Okay, fine guys.
So now we are going into the key elements of how to identify. So are you with me guys so far type out of the chat. Yes. No type out of the chat.
Okay.
Yes, Jagdish, I can understand what you're saying. Please give me a thumbs up. Please give me a heads up. Yeah, in the YouTube, go to the YouTube channel. Guys, I have pasted the link as well. So give me a heads up. Guys, for the people who are joining new, kindly make them panelist.
Okay?
Please, I request you because if I do it then I won't be able to take the session. It's not an automated process in zoom. So that's why I'm asking ar, please take care of that. If you go to the three option, the more you can make this people co host the moment when they make co host, they can switch on their camera. Okay, that's great guys. Thank you so much. Thank you so much. Great, great, great. Okay, still a lot more people are joining. Yes, punish, you can join. I have given you the option to become panelist. Interesting, interesting. Okay, good. I want to see you guys face and take the session. That would be more lively, that would be more live for me. And the way in which you take that body language reflects my way of communication also. Instead of just opening the mic and going in front of the camera, I don't really feel very comfortable in doing that. That's the reason I'm, I'm asking you come live or also you get a opportunity to also become very serious in this few minutes to attend the session live.
Okay?
Yes guys, thank you so much. I can see a lot of chat box coming in. Great, great, great. Okay, so now let's go into the very, very deep aspect.
Okay?
See guys, listen very patiently. Not lot of people are talking about this. What we are going to talk now, okay? And you need to have a kind of creativity while I'm telling you this. Again, this will not be one size fits for all. This will not be fit for every industry. This will not be fit for all the experienced people or freshers or anybody. This will be fit only when you take it how you wanted it. I repeat this, this method will only work when you tweak it according to your requirement properly. This is very, very special what I'm telling you now.
Okay?
So listen very carefully. First of all, analyze the job description, what are the key skills they require, okay? And take out the best values of the organization and your values. Whether it's matching or not, that is very important.
Okay?
Second, research about that industry. What is the happening? You can do it in their website. Okay, do it. You can do it in their forecasting. Forecasting websites like let's say you can take forester, you can take glass doors, you can take like let's say statista. Every information is taken, guys. Don't look as if it is new for the first time. It's all available inside the courses for you. Detailing, showcasing each and every tool how it can be used to find out the real gap inside the industry. So ideally speaking you should have completed all of the courses in Silver membership. The faster you complete it, the better clarity you will get in this process. Because this is ultimately important out there. People are not having this. That is the reason I'm telling you. You will have to identify the gap only when you identify the trend. See it is exactly like a jigsaw puzzle, okay? The pieces are there bits and pieces. First piece is your job description they give you, right? The second piece is your value. You have to match that. It's like exactly a jigsaw puzzle, okay? The third is understanding the trend. What is the industry which is evolving Edutech Healthcare. What is the trend now you need to get this clarity. You need to try to forecast using these tools. You are not going to do, you are not a statistian guys, you are a designer. You are going to understand this website and pull out the data which is more relevant for this industry in the latest innovation. Like let's say if healthcare industry is more often going to bring AI then you will have to understand that if they are going to bring more of a data science relating work, you have to bring that. So think about what is exactly available and what market has opened already. If you are trying to find out the industries like this way you will not go anywhere with a problem saying Jagdish no job vacancy is there. Your search is really weak. If you say that every people say no in design nobody is hiring me. No vacancy is there. I can see only experienced people. They are taking complete bs. Complete. They are, they are, they are really weak towards understanding of a company. You have to go and understand this is the sites and this is the information which you have to do, okay? And then you will have to go and search their social presence. See guys, listen very carefully. This is most, most important. You can go to their blogs, you can go to their LinkedIn and go to their website and go to their Facebook. You can go to their Instagram. If they have Instagram as their.
Okay.
If they have something like any other social media platform which includes Sometime they.
Have YouTube channel, okay?
So you have a lot of ways to cover out whether that company has this information properly what you're acquiring or not. Okay, this is most important. Anyway, I've covered this. But yeah, social presence.
Okay.
Yeah, this is fine. Only in fact their personal branded website.
Okay.
If it's a business or if it's a personal owner. Okay, type out in the chat. Guys, if you understand the second point, go to the YouTube. Type out of the chat if you got the second point. How to identify the trend. Because ultimately this is a game changer.
Okay.
Third most important, understand the company's culture. How do I get this Jagdish? See guys, this is not majorly in our hands. Yeah, we can know about the culture. We can align our values and mission along with the culture. But this is not in your control. See, the location of the company is there in your control. You can choose a company which is in Chennai, Bangalore, Bombay or Faisalabad or. Or maybe Lahore. That is your choice, right? You can go, you cannot go. But the culture of the company is not in your hands. It is there with that company for years together. And it's very difficult to bring any change in that. Don't go and fight with the people. If the company culture is really not aligned with your values, it is better you switch to a different organization. It is very vital.
Okay.
See, culture in the sense, what is the work life balance? What is the exact design importance they give? What is the training and support they have? And what is the growth in past and future? Are they going to exhibit? What is the benefits and renumeration they are going to. They are going to give. So understand this. If any adversity happens, how do they respond? See, I worked in a company called tafe, okay. During my engineering days. The big point about this company is if any adversity happens, even though the market fluctuates, they never stopped paying us whatever. We are really committed for every 30th of the month. We used to get the salary. Even though the business goes up, goes down. You know what that is called? Handling the adversity. TAE is a very big company. In fact, it is a $2 billion US dollar company. But the thing is the kind of respect, the kind of sharing to their employees, they have not compromised it. The business has never compromised compensating the people who is working in that organization. That is why it is very vital to choose the mission, vision, value of a company. It's very important. If you're taking it too lightly here, I will tell you what will happen. Even though you may be performing good, you will not understand this company is going to fall later. See, these are all the Things which you have to take care of while you are going and understanding about the company. How to identify which company is really requiring you, what this is the ways to identify and then only you will understand. Okay? This company is perfectly having these values. This company is perfectly managing the situation. So how do I know all these things? Jish, the only way to know all this information is by talking to people.
Okay?
Maybe the trend and other things you can go and take in the Statista website and you can find out in the Forrester. All this information, you can find it in online.
Okay?
This is okay, but if you wanted to get this data, ultimately you will.
Have to talk to people, okay?
You will have to find patterns inside their communication. Once you're talking to people, you can build a casual communication. Okay, you can build a casual communication, you can build a formal communication.
Also.
I will tell you what is the difference between this. Like let's say if you talk to any employee of the organization, okay, that is called casual employee. Or he could be a direct related or could be indirect, okay? Formal means you're talking to the HR itself, the design manager itself, whoever is hiring for that role. Hey Jagdish, is it okay to talk to them? You have to talk to them. Ideally, if you can talk to these people, you will get the data very fast. But there is a way to ask these questions certainly to these people, okay? And then once you collect talk to these people, you can get the patterns. Like let's say if you talk to people. Like let's say if you talk to 10 people, a mix of HR as well as the recruit, I mean the, the design head or something, you will have enough sizable data about that company. This is the only way to get the data, guys. You cannot get it everything in the online social media presence and all.
Okay?
This is most vital. So while you're talking to the people, you have to ask this five questions. What are the work life balance? What are the exact design importance? Are they valuing more of a design importance or is it a technology and the industry based on engineering driven? Most industries are engineering driven because we have a lot of engineers here. We will be only working a project with respect to the limitations of what engineer says. If he thinks this coding is not possible, then they will tell you change the design. They will not think, oh, this is really important for a designer. This is important for the user to have this button at this size, at this color, with this gradient, with this effect of graphics. Because that is more accessible, that is more usable, that is more user Friendly for the user. They don't care about that. They care about if it is coding is not possible for that button to be placed at that region. Change the decision. They forget designers, they forget users. They want only whatever is capable. They will do it.
Okay.
This is called engineering driven business. So understand that. How much importance are they giving to the design values? How much importance are they given towards user centric design? It's called user centric design ucd.
Okay.
Very few industries do it. That is why this is very very vital. To get this clarity. Less than 20% of the industry has this. Jagdish, how do I get into this? I'm telling you guys, if you get into this industries your life is already set. Don't worry about salaries. You will definitely get more than what you're expecting. I'm telling you just close your eyes and join. But your responsibility is to go and find this. Nobody will come and get you and give you this offer.
Hey Muthu.
Please come and join here. We are most user centric design company. First of all people will not tell you they are user centric design. They will not market themselves. It's your responsibility to go and find that by talking to the people. This is how you can find the gap of the industry. Guys, you have to ask what kind of a product you designed. Can you show one example of a product what you designed?
Oh.
Is this the interface what you guys designed?
Oh.
Is this the website what you guys designed?
Oh.
If the website looks like this like then what will you do for the mobile application?
Oh.
You've ignored the mobile application. Why? Because we don't have mobile application developers.
Oh.
That means it is definitely not user centric design company. It is just a consulting organization. Your application is there in the wrong industry. Don't get fooled. You are applying in the wrong industry and wasting your time. You have to either switch for the product based company or the industry which is really understanding the users properly. If they understand the user properly then the preference will be very different. They will talk. This is what our customer requires. This is what the statistics says. This is what the user really exhibited some behavior. This is the testing reports what we saw and then we incorporating. See if these kind of a statements comes from this people's mouth then you're really lucky. That industry is going to be really a suitable one for you.
Okay.
Type out in the chat. Guys, if you're getting what I'm exactly saying in the YouTube, go to the YouTube. Type out in the chat. Yes. Yes. Jagdish, I'M I'm understanding what you're trying to say. Type you. That's enough. Okay, if you are totally into it and ask them what are the training and support are you giving? Is it a mentor based system? Is it an individual responsibility corporate training? It's an individual training which you have to take. Okay, Just note it down very carefully. Guys, you need to ask this question to the people. Even if the HR is coming or the recruiter is coming, as a design head, you can ask these questions to these people. Yeah, you have to ask them like what are the growth exactly last three years and going forward three years, how it will be? What are the benefits you're getting? Like let's say medical, let's say food. Like let's say travel, let's say relocation. See you can ask relocation bonus of 30 to 50,000 and you can tell even you are not even giving me relocation bonus. At least increase my salary so you can have this points later during your negotiation salary negotiation phase to talk with the people. But we should have collected a lot more information. Okay, so ask about the details and any past worst incident have happened and how the company responded. Ask them.
Okay.
And ask them like let's say if any kind of a project comes like let's say in. In. In pressure how it's handled generally to get some data.
Okay.
Ideally you can get all this data properly. There is no problem. But what happens is many times you will have to understand how the past has happened. That is most important. In fact, if you get this data, you will be able to take a better decision and a better call.
Okay?
That is very vital.
Okay.
So work, life balance, exact design importance, training and support, growth in the past, benefits and remuneration and what are the adversity? In fact I put adversity here.
Okay.
And then there is something called reporting structure. This is most important. Guys, I will tell you why. See, a lot of people don't understand this reporting. Is it a daily reporting with the manager? Is it a standup call? Is it a weekly connect? Is it a monthly MRM meeting? Monthly review meetings? Review meetings? It's a quarterly meeting. Every industry knows this. Okay, Quarterly it's a yearly. Mostly it will not be yearly and quarterly but at least it will be monthly, weekly, sometimes it will be a stand up call. So understand what is the reporting structure with your manager? Okay, the reporting is most important. If it's a daily reporting, is it through emails, is it through some portals, Is it through some? Is it through some. What you call is it through some Manual and is it through some PPTs like how are you going to present this work to your daily reporting through just email? Are you going to update? So Jagdish, why these questions are very important here you're ask. You may be thinking I'm telling you this is the most most important questions. The reason is you can exactly think about what is the need of this industry. Like let's say if a person is saying we have a very very important daily meetings every single day and people present what they work on the before day then it is inevitable that you need to be a very good communicator and presenter. You need to be very fast in taking design decisions. This company is not just a joke. Daily reporting happening means every single day project is running in the organization and clients are sitting in their office. That's the kind of pressure they have. If it's something like a weekly or a monthly then it's little bit sorted. You have some multiple structure and hierarchy to take care. The the pressure, what you're going to handle and the information and the project nature. What you're going to have is little flexible over there.
Okay?
It's not a daily reporting, it's a weekly reporting. I'm saying okay so understand the reality. Ask those people. You're saying no Jagdish, only weekly. We have a common meeting. That's where we are going to present. And we are not going to present. Our manager is going to present. That means it is a hierarchy based company. There you should have a leadership skill to exhibit. There you should have something like a more of soft skills. Even though the job description is not saying that you have to understand soft skills is more important than you will have to know how to talk with your manager. You will have to know how to talk with your super boss. You should know this is how the hierarchy works. This is more of hierarchy driven organization.
Okay.
It is not a family run business, it is a corporate business.
Okay?
It is not a startup, it is a corporate. So that understanding needs to be clear. Your project, what you're going to present it should be very well aligned to it. When you're presenting a project you should say so this is how I keep my projects and I present it. If I'm coming into your organization, I'll also work with your team accordingly to update the senior management what is really happening. Once the senior management says this is okay, then we can go for a mass testing. Then we can go for a mass product introduction. Then we can think about launch. See your communication should change. While you're going into the interview, you cannot go and pitch yourself as a self introduction to everybody in one way. No, your self introduction, your pitch statement, your cover letter, your resume will all depend on the data what you collect here. And you have to understand. Oh, is this a real thing happening? Some people will directly say our organization is too pressured. Like we have a huge pressure running at our back. We have client meeting every single week. No, sorry, twice a week. Our client literally rips us apart. Because the nature of the business is exactly like that. Yeah, it is like that. You have to understand that ground reality. Then you need to be a super observer in understanding this information and start fulfilling that. Most important, how do I fulfill Jagdish? You need to go to their projects and understand what are the exact need they need for a designer. They require like let's say if they require a designer to be a proficient in product research, in ideation, in kind of a prototype making, in, in rapidly building a business model. Understand that, try to fulfill that. See guys, the way in which you go by this data, leave the job description, you can find more roles inside the organization which is not published in the market. How many of you got Bulborn right now? Type BO if you understand what I just said. Now last sentence. The way in which you find the value, what is the company is offering you. And if you ask right questions to right people with this manner, I'm telling you, you can find hundreds of openings which the industry is not even publishing. How many of you got Bulborn? Type BO in the chat box. Go to your chat box. Type out BO in the chat box. Type out. Guys, come on. Okay, and very important, go to your learning management portal and mark your attendance. Okay, I've given you the link for the attendance as well. Go ahead. Yes, guys, go to your portal login and that's great, that's great. Good, good, good. A lot of people are typing out in the chat. Interesting, good. Bulborn. So getting Bulborn is one point. But ultimately you have to take action. Then and only whatever you got Bulb on is going to convert as a result.
Okay.
Or else what happens is this becomes just a theory. I'm telling you this is the most most important element. And people who understand this, their career trajectory is in a different way. People who don't understand this, maybe you will take a lot of time, guys, that's what I'm telling you. You'll take a lot of efforts, but your results will be very, very less. Think about it.
Okay, cool.
And finally, show some awareness of industry Standards, you have to research their certification. Yeah, all this credibility is fine. You can can go and find out in these websites. See, you can go to my earlier courses and There is a YouTube playlist which is called Dolphin Job Application. You can go today and watch that. How many of you would like to know what is mean by dolphin? How many of you would like to know what is mean by dolphin? What is mean by dolphin? Guys, tell me. Dolphin. Oh, is mean by Dolphin. Dolphin cuts through the water and it runs like anything, right?
Okay.
It has a way to penetrate into the water. Same like that. If you have your job application portfolio, resume the communication, what you're going to say in a more precise, specific way, you can able to cut through the noise of any applications and get to the top of the job market. How to do that? In fact, I've gone very deep into this what you call session. Let me open this. Guys, just wait. Perspective matters. Design system.
Typography.
Yes. I think targeting the right industries with passion. Design, Mastering the industry Research. Aligning the value of the company. Compelling Matchmaking, Networking, power Aligned with the. There is another playlist, guys.
Okay.
Dolphin application. In fact that's called Dolphin Portfolio Making. Just a second. I'm not sure where I've kept this. You can find in my channel, guys. Okay, please go do it and watch whichever is really required for you at this point of time and start learning it. That's it. I would say.
Huh?
This 55 minutes dolphin strategy. Can you see here part seven penetrating the job market as a pressure. In fact, one hour I've taken this session. Guys. This is going to be ultimate game changer. This is going to be ultimate game changer. Okay, watch this video from end to end. I've literally broken down how you can find the industry, how to go to their website, how to find out the gap, how to talk to the people at the back end and can you see this guy? I have literally messaged him in LinkedIn after doing the research, after identifying the need, after identifying what is that company real requirement is. And then I've also gone deeper into. Sorry. How to research about the particular role and sorry. Yeah, I've used also many AI tools to get to this clarity. In fact this is a quite long video but I would highly, highly suggest please go and watch it out because that is called a Dolphin job application strategy.
Okay.
Dolphin is a name which I have kept. Guys, there is not an industry term. Okay, please don't go and Sorry guys, just a second. Okay guys. So type out of the chat. What did you learn so far. Thank you. Thank you, Sneha. I think Sneha has put the link. Thank you so much. So what did you learn so far? Because I've told you a lot more things in the last 40 minutes. I asked. I wanted to ask you like what did you learn before moving into the next one? Type out of the chat in the YouTube. In fact I'll go to the live.
Yep.
So let's see what's happening. What did you learn?
Guys?
Come on. Type out in the chat.
Okay.
Arun. Welcome, Arun. Good morning, Arun. Arun is also there in the call. Know about the company and the requirements.
Okay.
That's great.
Okay.
What else? What else? Others. Others please type out in the chat.
Okay.
See, live demo takes huge amount of time to do it, guys. But I've given you already a link for how we can watch. Watch it out.
Okay.
It's a 55 minute. I'm really sorry guys. What's happening here? Hiccups are coming. Okay. So LinkedIn is one of the strategy which you can. Which you can use. Okay. So ideally LinkedIn would be very suitable if you start talking with people. And LinkedIn also you can find insights. Like let's say in LinkedIn there is a column called Insights. When you go for the portal.
We'Ll.
Take Tata Motor, Tata Motors.
Okay.
We'll go to their page. So you. You guys can see. See my screen, right? Please type out on the chat. Yes. You guys can see my screen, right?
Okay.
Good.
Good.
I'm sorry guys. Please don't mind. Yeah. Go to this insights. See operations, engineering, sales. Maybe this is not very driven or design driven organization for now. Yeah. Tata design team is there. But we are taking general Tata. Okay. Let's go for a very, very small organization. 51 to 200 employees.
Okay.
You can see arts and design. 20% of the people are being hired. That means this is design driven organization only.
Okay.
Look at that. Operations is happening. That means mostly production, supply chain, supply chain. Those kind of roles are also there available.
Okay.
So think about it and also think about what's happening. Like let's say people are constantly hiring. That's okay. Employee count. And it's a. It's a medium scale organization and it's connected to Tata.
Okay.
And new hires are happening. Like let's say five, six openings are somewhat coming here and there and going on.
Okay.
And think about it. You can go to the people and you can go and give them a connection request as well. If you are interested. Like let's say Sukanta.
Okay.
He's a lead. Yokeshi is a leader. So think about how Venkateshwar, he is my friend. He's my connection actually.
Okay.
Body in white Design and development engineer Manasvi Raja. So see the people also how they are able to connect with you. You can directly go and start pitching with them. Also you can go and understand these people. What is the job description? I told you to ask certain questions, right? So you can ask those questions there itself. You can find any jobs. Right now there is nothing. That's okay. You can also switch on this alert.
Okay.
That alert will have some conditions. Once some posting is there, it will. It will be there for you.
Okay.
And majorly I would say go and read their post. See this company has not posted. But this is the official page I think. What? This is not the official page. Yeah, that's what I'm telling you. This is not the main page.
It's okay.
But the every good organization with a proper update every single day they will have some post. Whether it is relating to job or it's relating to any industry stat. They will post that information. Information. So go and engage in that post. Because the more ideally if you're engaging what happen? LinkedIn will also try to understand. Like let's say Aramind is more interested in this job. Let's connect Aramin with the recruiter of this industry.
Okay.
Background also the work will happen accordingly. You will get more suggestions with those people. So you can start networking with them.
Okay.
Send to a link.
Fine.
Oh, this is the one. Yes. It's good. See, I told you, right? See 12 hours before they posted every single day they are posting. That means excellent. Tata Alexa delivers steady revenue growth of 3.1 percentage. See transportation business grows strongly by 8.8 percentage. That means transportation requires supply chain. Supply chain requires dashboard. Dashboard requires CRM. CRM requires a lot of other softwares like SAP internal login for the multiple users. They have a master access. So entire software is majorly required for those people to drive the supply chain, business and logistics. Right. So you already have a designer role there. You don't have to ask any website or any role. It's already there. Without digital business, digital presence, they cannot run the transportation business. Do you think company will have a ledger and a notebook to mark the transportation things happening? That's not possible. They must definitely have some software inbuilt and also the SAP CRM salesforce everything is integrated so that they have a complete track of their business. And you as a designer can think about how you can go and add value to these people.
Okay.
Sorry guys, don't mind about it. Something is happening. But anyway I understand this is very important call. I cannot cut in between. So read about the stats. Anyway recently this legendary has passed. You can definitely go and read about what is his achievement. Yesterday there were a lot of case studies also coming in the news channel. I don't know how many of you have really observed. He has did a lot of things like more into philanthropies, more into charity. He I went to a city called Jamshed. Poor guys.
Okay.
In fact just like quite five, seven years back. So that entire city was built by this guy. The park you can call Jamshedji Tata. The hospital you can call Jamshetji hospital. This entire city was built by this guy. It's in Jharkhand actually. So understand the founders vision and mission also. Because that is also very important to understand whether this kind of an organization will really work for me or not. Tata is definitely a great place to work work with. In fact you can stay for a very long time inside company like Tata. So this holistic understanding needs to also be there.
Okay?
That is why in our Excel Excel sheet if you start collecting information you will find out the company details not only about the job description, also about the founder, number of employees, employees working when they've started. What is their mission, Mission value. Because these are all will give you a proper drive towards how to choose a right industry. That is the reason, okay? That is the reason we are having that and very important.
Okay?
So use hooks to start talking with the people while you're talk talking with the different, different people. I told you to talk to many people right? So use this. Anyway we have covered 12 hooks and five curiosity hooks. So use that. But this is also like commitment hook, impact hook, value, value driven hook. So use whatever is required guys. It's not the only three hooks I'm saying.
Okay?
So understand the reality and follow it.
Okay?
So the cognitive reason why it is important is hiring managers find you better fit. If you do this much of research. It is very simple. You should have figured it out why I'm telling you, telling you this.
Okay?
And employee empathy activation, it is more relatable to the candidates and they keep you in your mind. Even though they interview 100 people you will be still coming up, coming up. You will be the top of their mind.
Okay?
And automatically the reward and trust and it builds the awareness and it improves the reliability of a candidate automatically what happens? Okay, you can join our company. They Will immediately tell you. See the moment when you ask these questions over a phone itself. The recruiter will have a very different respect for you. How many of you have felt felt this many people? Whoever has applied this methodology, Whatever I asked you to do, you can do it right now. Like let's say today you can take 10 organizations find out this 10 people. Like let's say 3. 3 people per organization, 30 people phone call, ask these questions. I'm telling you next, next three days you can get message from all these 10 people because you know exactly what to talk, what to message. These people will start replying. You don't think think that this is g Boomba?
No.
This is exactly the steps how you can able to follow it out, okay? This happens neurologically. How to improve it? Kindly be specific. Focus on the company's challenges. Find out their need.
Okay.
And highlight how your expectation skills is matching with them. That's it. To put down this entire video in a short form.
This is the thing, okay?
And yeah, statistics is all fine, guys. 80% of the hiring managers prior prioritize the cultural fit. This is like soft skill.
Okay?
40% are more likely to get interviews. Tailored applications. Be very, very specific. Don't be generic.
Okay.
Industry trend awareness scenes are adapted by employees. Okay. Seen as adapted below employees. In fact, Recently I read one statistics. Like let's say I think more than 50% of the people are aware of what industry they are applying.
Okay?
But they are not having this much of clarity what I said to you.
Now.
Think about it particularly designers are very poor in this. I'm telling you. That's the reason I'm taking you this session.
Okay?
Think about it. Yeah. You can use LinkedIn, Insights, Google Alerts. There are a lot more ways. Guys, I've already told you a lot of tools inside that video itself. Go now what you can understand that, okay? And yeah, reflect on your learnings. People are watching it for the very first time. Sunday we're having a very special webinar. Please come and learn there. That's a very, very holistic topic what we're covering. Because in YouTube we can take only a few important topics, whichever is relevant for the skill set. But the Sunday webinar is very special link is available in the description. Please go and listen. Okay. And please listen to the Spotify. Oh, sorry. And podcast and blogs and everything, guys. And join our community.
Okay?
I'm extremely sorry because because of some reason I'm not able to talk really comfortable today. So. Okay, guys, I want everybody to go to the YouTube channel and type your learnings. I, I, I believe I've covered all the things. Okay, so go to the you YouTube channel and type out what's your top five takeaways.
Okay.
And come in the, come in the camera. We'll take a snap before we move. Move forward. Just a second. Anybody can give me a quick fix how to get rid of this. I'm facing a lot of trouble anyway.
Fine.
Okay. So we are coming to the end. I think I covered a lot of the things. I did not skip anything but detail. I would recommend you to go and watch that video. Because I have taken one case. Like let's say a company, a problem statement, an employee. How to start pitching like that chain I've taken carefully. Okay, go and watch it. Watch it out. Please switch on your camera. I request everybody to come in the camera. Let's take a snap. Let's take a snap. Shantilal. Yes. Yes guys. What's happening?
Okay.
Great guys. Okay. So now put your learnings and come back to the portal and copy paste that as well. That as well. Okay. I'm just posting in a minute. Just give me a second. Just reflect on what we have seen. Okay guys. Yes. I want everybody to see in the YouTube live also like what's your top learning? Great.
Great.
Great. Guys, I'm going to give you 50 points for the people whoever is typing a long takeaways. Anyway, there is already a winner. Because I've been observing a lot of chats. In fact Faisal Sneha, these people are typing out very very long feedbacks. Like let's say they can able to recollect lot more things in the class. What did you guys learn? Okay, see there is. There is nothing called. You have to type long shot. The more you recollect it the better. Better it is. Or else the track will be lost.
Okay.
Because I cannot give every single day points for this. But I can able to observe the pattern so far.
Okay.
So I'm just adding points for you directly. Just a second. And also I can see a lot of information has been posted.
It.
Guys. Please collect your badges. Guys. Why? It is very difficult for you guys. What happened? There are only six people who are collecting badges. What about Hasnain, Tilagar, Manikandan, Mutu, Sneha. You can complete the levels now. Guys, faster. See you can take your earlier project if you already did. Like let's say for Sneha's case. I would say you already have some project. Take a snap. Put it in wix. I mean put it in the upload session and meet the conditions of the challenge. Any which ways I've given the latest challenge. You guys are approving that? Kindly go and apply. That's it. An application will come to me, then I'll approve it. You are going to get bulk points for that. If you get a lot of badges, you will get points for that as well.
Okay.
Fine, guys.
Yes.
Yes. I can see a lot of comments in the YouTube. Super, guys. Excellent. I hope people would have learned a lot of things in this. Arun, what's your learning? Arun Samanthra, I want to see you.
