Day 27- How fast you can prepare for the interview based on JD- Skill Booster 100 Day Challenge

This is a YouTube video titled "Day 27- How fast you can prepare for the interview based on JD- Skill Booster 100 Day Challenge" recorded in October 2024. The content is a live interactive session led by Jagdish (likely Jagadeesh P) with multiple participants practicing interview preparation skills based on job descriptions. Jagdish guides participants through exercises involving ChatGPT, role-playing interviews, and providing feedback to improve their self-introduction and communication skills in interviews. The session emphasizes active participation, confidence building, and practical tips for quick and effective interview preparation.
Talking about interviews, right? In fact, today's question is also about interview what students have asked me. But we are going to do slightly in a different way.
Okay?
So we are going to do a very important activity about interviews, right? In fact, today's question is all particularly what is really going to happen is we are going to learn a skill and practice it live today.
Okay?
So that is what I want everybody to do in this call. It's not like only you are just like that learning.
Okay?
So you will have to also practice it and do it live with me.
Okay?
Yes. So everybody please switch on your camera. Everybody please switch on your camera. Yes, yes, yes.
Great, great, great. Okay, okay. Okay.
Excellent. Just a second, just a second.
Cool. Fine.
So the question what students have asked me today is how fast can you prepare for the interview based on the job description? In fact, this is one of the questions asked by our student punish.
Okay?
So he has asked me this question. In order to answer that, I. I actually needed some information, some kind of a support from you guys also.
Okay.
It's not like I'm. I'm going to only what you call answer this question. I. I want everybody to what you call do some kind of a participation. Guys, I want everybody to switch on your camera, okay? Help others as well. To help others as well to become co host. Money and.
Yeah, okay.
Great guys. Fine. So how to prepare the interview quickly? See, I will tell you why quick is important. Why quick? Why urgency? Why hurry? Why you wanted to do it quickly? I wanted in the question itself. It is telling me clearly that you wanted to do it quickly. Why you wanted to do it quickly. Can you tell me?
Competition.
Competition. Competition with who?
Lot of designers out there.
Competition is there. I'm asking what is quick quickly?
What in the sense?
Huh?
Quick means swat. In the sense.
I'm asking you.
Your. Your. Your. The question is been asked in a way that how do I prepare quickly based on the job description, right? In fact, Pish has asked me this question. Pish, open your mic and just answer this. What do you mean by quick? Why that rush and hurry is required? I'm asking because many people are making this mistake. That is the reason I'm pointing out that again. Okay, See, it is not about quick. What are you going to do? Just by vaguely understanding here and there and not. Not going into the details fully and completing the interview for the sake of just completing, just watching it, make sure you just be calm and slow. That is the very, very first thing. If you're starting up with something, okay? So like let's say I'm going to give an activity for each of you.
Okay.
So all of you open chat GPT parallel people who are watching live. People are watching here in the, in the, in the, in the zoom call or maybe in the YouTube live. You will have to do it because if you're not doing this activity you're not going to learn anything.
Okay.
Please switch on your camera.
Guys.
I made you co host. Switch on your camera. I want everybody to switch on their camera. Aravind, we could not help you to switch on your camera. What happened? You're joining from some different device. That's the reason I believe. Okay fine. Look at me guys. So now I want everybody to pick a partner.
Okay?
I want everybody to pick a partner. Like let's say you can work with Chini Bus.
Okay?
Pish. You can work with Muthu. Cool. So another people, once they come we will be able to help them. What you have to do is go to ChatGPT and quickly prepare one job description. All of you individually, any job description for a product designer.
Okay.
Any job description. I want everybody to prepare it fast. Please put in one prompt.
You.
You'll be able to get it.
Okay?
It's not a big deal. You want I can able to give you. You can use this prompt whatever I gave you if you're not getting the output.
Okay.
That would help you a lot to get things little faster. Fine. So everybody has taken it. So now what I wanted you to do is I will give you two minutes.
Okay?
Please share it with others.
Okay.
Shrinivas has to share with money under money under whatever he generated he has to share with Shady Bus.
Okay?
People has to share each other. Do it first, do it fast. Okay so I want everybody like let's say Manikandan and Srinivas Punish and Mutu and Sneha and Aravind are you there here? I'm not sure Aravind is there here or not. Ar we can't see you.
Huh? You're here.
Okay, so SNA and Arin.
Okay.
Sna Narin, what you guys have to do is you'll have to generate one sample job description in chat GPT.
Okay.
I'm just pasting you the prompt in the chat box. Please kindly go and take it and once you are given the sample description pass it to the others, your partners.
Okay?
I already told you who are the partners. Kindly do it first. So you have done. You have done it. Go and chat them in the chat box itself. Because you're a Co host. You can chat with anybody.
Okay.
Please go and do it. Hi sad. Good morning. You have connected in the online so you can do one thing sign. You can go to charge GPT and take one prompt so saying yeah, I've already pasted that prompt to you. You can just go and take that sample job description.
Okay?
Okay, listen to me very carefully guys. Now I will give you exactly two minutes time. I want everybody to go and prepare that. I want everybody to go and prepare that.
Okay?
How will you prepare? I don't know. What you have to do is you'll have to look at the job description, go through it first, skim it and then scan it. Skimming. Scanning means just reading it through fastly.
Okay.
And then preparing yourself how you wanted to go and talk about the self introduction for the company and I'm going to ask you do it live in front of me.
Okay?
Don't worry, your voice is only going to come YouTube live. You won't. You won't come. Okay. Don't worry about it. Since you have kept gallery speaker mode, it won't come but I want everybody to go and answer this.
Okay?
So the main two tips I will tell you. Look for the keywords, don't read entire sentences. First of all, have you shared? Guys, please raise your hands. Have you shared or not? Okay, excellent. Excellent. People have shared. So I wanted you to pick the keywords.
Okay.
And I wanted to talk about you, your skill and how you can help the business. Simple. You can name any company, ABC company or example company.
No problem.
Three. Three things I told you. Okay, so just two or three minutes I'll give you. You can prepare. Yes, P.
Sir.
The voice is not audible. No sir, I, I just. And I send it to. Excellent. So I will just switch on the timer.
Okay.
Three minutes I'll give you guys. Do it fast. Another two more minutes. Since it's a holiday, I'm giving you 50 points. Guys. Go and mark your attendance as well.
Okay? Yep.
Another one more minute. Is there guys? Okay, fine guys, are we getting it? Just use the three key things. Whatever I told you.
Okay.
It okay fine guys.
Now yes.
Come forward. I want everybody to come forward. So first what you have to do is you will have to switch the role now.
Okay.
So people who are prepared so they should consider themselves as a person who is going to attend the interview.
Okay.
And the person who has given that job description to you, they are the interviewers HRS or somebody. So you will have to go and answer them. So I'll ask you One thing. Who wants to come in camera and do it? Jagdish, I wanted to do it in front of you. Can you raise your hands? Who wants to do it in front of the camera? I'm sorry guys. Hey guys. People are waiting in the panelist. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Yes.
Yes. Yes.
Yes.
So who wants to do it in front of me live? I'm not asking for everybody. I'm asking for the people who are very interested.
Okay.
I'll do it in front of you. Muthu, can you come? Manikantan, can you come?
Yeah, sure.
Excellent. Excellent. Good. So.
Yes.
Come on. So let's. Let's call money Gandhan. Okay. At Spotlight.
Fine.
Fine. Good. So consider I am your recruiter.
Okay.
You are the person who has applied for this job.
Okay.
So tell me what did you find in our job description? How are you suitable here?
Tell me.
Yeah. First thing you asked for excellence. Proficiency in tools like Figma and Adobe xd. So I can bring that value for my role. I have bring that proficiency of my using tools like figma and making great UI elements for your company. Also. Since you are a fintech company, it's very very much important to need the things. Learning the things quickly. So I can say I'm a quick learner and learning concept very quickly. Since I'm already having work experience, I can work with teams also.
Okay.
I can. I can be a good team player.
Okay.
Good team player.
Yeah. Okay.
What else?
So in my. From my past work experience I can bring lot of value to the company and I can experience.
You only told three points. What else? How are you suitable for this role with respect to the job description and your earlier experience?
Yeah.
Fintech company is all about making complex things. Complex things. Turning it easy for users. So from my previous project I. I did the same with some processes. Like I already worked fintech project in. I already have fintech project in my portfolio. You can see that really have a fintech project.
Okay.
Good.
Good.
I wanted you to tell real only not fake. Because this is a real interview.
Okay.
Huh. Okay, go ahead. Okay.
I have. I have a case study which is mostly related to that job description. So when I have. When I did user research I. I have find great insights. And also I. I come to came to know about what are the. What is important.
Sorry. No problem.
That's it.
That's it.
You want to tell more or that's it?
That's it.
Okay fine.
I'll give you a feedback little later. Okay.
Just wait.
But really Good attempt. Because quickly you have came here and then you gave your good attempt.
Okay.
Arun, you wanted to come next. Arun, some and tre. Sure sir.
Okay.
In fact I've not given Arun the topic.
Okay.
What happened here? I'm not able to spotlight him. How do I do it? Just a second. Arun. I'm not able to spotlight you.
Why?
Actually sir my camera. Actually my laptop is not with me. I am joining from phone.
Oh hey.
But phone is okay. Or we can make you as a. Okay no problem. So can you just. Can you just answer my question? Yeah sure sir.
Definitely.
Okay.
Can you introduce yourself in one minute and tell why your skills are very relevant to our industry.
Yeah sure.
So. Yeah.
Hi, this is Arun Samanthrai. I'm a UX designer with a year of experience.
I have.
Different have expertise in UI design and user research. I am very good at visual design. I have very good visual design skills. I am proficient in figma and other designs tools. Yes.
That's it. Yes. Tell me why. You are very suitable for this role. So.
Actually do. Do we have a job description?
Yes we had a job description but you came little later. So what you call. You are not able to answer that. Anybody can paste the sample job description in the chat box quickly. Can you do that? You could not paste the job description. The chat is available for everyone here.
Oh wait wait wait.
Oh I'm sorry guys you can able to share right? I'm just going to share with everybody. Yeah. Now I've opened that thing.
Okay.
Yes. So Arun, I'll paste you the job description in the chat. Okay guys anybody can paste it. First do it. Do it now. Sneha or somebody who can able to do it.
Okay.
I am also being able to paste. Actually the zoom has this privacy issue. You can't copy paste the content from here to there.
Yeah.
And you can't do it there. I don't know. Some reason is happening. Maybe co host people can do it I guess. Okay. Managing has given. So now I want you to prepare this. Arun, it's been pasted in the job description.
Okay.
I'll give you two minutes time. Meanwhile you prepare. I'll call others. Okay fine. So who wants to come next? Muthu, you want to come next? Mutu you want to come next? Your voice is not clear. Yeah. Can you come? Okay. Yes. So come on introduce yourself based on the job description. Whatever your partner has given. Come on.
Approach this because of the job description. Because I love to work in a project from day one where you're working in A fintech company and I'm also trying for a fintech company which my portfolio is suitable for the job description and I am know the HTML and CSS basics so it will be more referent for the communication to the developer. And this is the value I'm having. I'm a good researcher and brainstorming person like a junior product designer. I am eager to learn from the real real world project. So it will be more useful for me to growth in my career also. So I want to get a this kind of job as a freelancer. I know the basics of the Figma and Miro and Framer website developing tools so I can do more things than experienced people can do. This is the intro of mine. Any questions we can ask?
Okay, so I will tell you what is the things you have you have answered.
Okay.
For now this is okay guys, can you tell me like what improvements can Muthu and Manigandan and Arun can make? What did you guys observe? Can you type out in the chat? Maybe here or in the YouTube live? What do you think these people can improve? Are you finding it okay? Are you finding it okay? This can be little bit better. Jagdish or maybe some suggestion for the three people who have just answered. Yes, thank you man. Thank you for the job description. Good, good. I want the suggestions part now. So what. What do you feel still can be done More still can be answered. Like maybe some kind of improvements or mistakes or if there is a structure they have missed it. Or maybe their communication was little different or have they. Are they using any generic words? So try to find out some improvements what these three people can do. Can you type out in the ch? Come on guys. I want everybody to chat first of all. Then and only. We are moving ahead for the next one. Are you guys doing it in YouTube? One second. Hey. But no, I want everybody to type out in the zoom chat. I wanted to see here. Okay, one one point each. I don't want much sentences. I just want to be more confident while saying something. Excellent. Great. What about others? Guys, I want everybody to chat actively. Because if you're not observing and finding out what people are going wrong or maybe what they can able to improve. When will you improve? Okay, I'll bring one more person now. Okay, but I. But I want parallel everybody to type. What did you observe so far? See, I will. I will tell my observation. What is the thing so far?
Okay.
People don't have the flow in talking. They have a lot of breaks in communication starting from Maningandran Starting from Arun, like you're talking 11 sentences. There is no connectivity between these things. Are you guys agreeing? There is no confident as exactly. State my Sneha. I want others people also to type. No Arun, I wanted you to observe and tell me what did you learn from what did you wanted to tell others? Shinibas should say more about what values they add to their business. Great. Shashank, I wanted you to type what observation you did. It's not like. Yes, agree. You have to type. You have to tell what is your observation. What you wanted to add to this people. Kish, can you type first? Arin, can you type first? Faisal, can you type first? Are you guys observing here or just like that? Listening. Please be present here and observe what people are giving you the content. Because you are going to come here and answer. Ask this. Answer this question. If you're not paying close attention how will you correct the mistakes? So people are saying no confident is there and sh. Boss is saying the. The values is not stressed. And I am saying there is no flow. There is no connectivity between the lines. Whatever people are saying. And yeah of course I also agree with the confident part. What are. What are the others? Can you type in the chat box? Guys for everybody. Chat box is open, right? Please confirm me. I. I hope everybody is able to open the chat box. Yeah.
If.
If other people are also typing. I hope I made all of them co host.
Okay.
If you are not typing, we are not moving for the next bit. It's not like you are learn. You are just listening, listening, listening. You should take action and reflect on what we are doing here. I'm not moving forward unless until everybody. I see the. I see the chat here. What did you observe? We are not moving ahead.
Yes.
Go ahead. No, this is very generic comment here. Punish. Please listen very carefully. Are you there in the call? Are you there in the class? I don't know. A lot of people are switching off the camera. I want everybody's full attention. We are not just doing some fun here. We are making mean. We are making the corrections of each and every people. What they are predominantly making mistakes before me. Going and telling secret secrets. Formula. Formula. Formula. Teaching. Teaching. Teaching. You will have to first go and observe.
Okay.
I'm also speaking the same like in the calls. So I don't know what correction. What's wrong? What you feel wrong. That's what I'm asking. This is very generic. My answer seems like I don't know full about the key responsibilities.
Okay.
No money in it. Content is There in front of you. Why would you feel that? Need to be more convincing. Why? The person is a good fit. Need to highlight the individual value. Correct, Shashank. Because people have not highlighted that one. I could have been more precise about what I bring to the company. Okay. What about others? This is your observation for yourself. What did you observe for others? Can you type in the chat? Shanti Lal, can you type in the chat? Can you type in the chat? Aravind, can you type in the chat? Faisal, can you type? Hasnain, can you type? If people are not typing, we are not moving ahead. Next. Because I want everybody's attention and focus here. It is not a YouTube video. You just watch and go.
Okay.
Only few people are typing. Those people are just listening and taking action. Other people are coming, but they are not taking action. I want everybody who is coming in this call to get results before this. Weekends means lot of interview calls you should get. Lot of design tasks you should get. If you are not able to tell clearly in one or two minutes to the person. What is the point in doing all these things? Your career is getting into a very big trouble and you are not knowing that. Fine. Has. Can you hear me? Faisal, can you hear me? Are you guys here? Yes, sir. Yes. But why you guys are not typing in the chat box? Is there any issues in the chat box? You are not able to type. Please tell me that so that I can able to help you with that.
Yeah.
Okay.
So Shantil, can you come into the camera once again?
Okay.
So now I wanted you to introduce yourself. Correcting all the mistakes, whatever people have said. Now I wanted you to introduce your. Did you got the chop description sample?
Oh yes.
Okay.
Come on. Start.
In back of my college, most of my friends were started to lear.
First of all there tell about yourself. Start. Hi, I'm Shantilal. So just don't tell. Everybody made the same mistake. They just talk randomly. No, just introduce. Hi, Mr. Jagdish. I'm Shantilal. I looked at your job description yesterday in your email. So I just wanted to have a short phone call with you. You have to give some introduction. You have to give some connecting words. You have to bring the flow to the story. That is why the codex document and your preparation is very important. You should not do it on the live phone call. You should prepare it beforehand.
Right?
Start now from the beginning.
I'm S. How are you?
Fine. Hello.
I see the job openings yesterday on link. So that's why I have applay. And you can call me Your called me on yesterday and we have your phone call.
Why did you give that gap? Why did you give that gap? Now why I can get see if there is a reason why you are giving that gap then it's okay. Maybe you're completing a sentence, you have to give a gap. Maybe you're talking something but you wanted to give a pass and make the person understand. Reflect unnecessarily. Don't give the gap Then people will not feel you are completed. Start from the beginning. Start from the beginning. Tell about yourself. Hi, I'm Shantilal.
Hi James. I am Shantilal. In back of my college most of my friends were learning the code so I start learning along with them which is when I first hear about the UI development roles and other similar roles like UI designer and US product designer. So and I discovered that is we are not. We are not just about makes that things looks good. They were solving their problem by their design and I wanted to know a lot about design. So my elder brother, he's a visual listener at Infosys and we discuss here what are the career opportunities, what are the impact given by the designer. So and I realized I could make an impact by the design through it and I learning the basics of HTML team building, the basics of UA and US design in UD for more than two months after that I enrolled a one year in US course. In this course I did healthcare projects and PR projects and some other project projects. Working on this project I can realize there is more than one minute.
It's more than one minute. You have still not told me why are you relevant for me my job description? Tell me that. Start from the beginning. Hi, I'm Shantilal. Don't tell that initial part. That is okay. Tell me why are you very necessary in this skill set for this job description? Convince me with only three points. Tell me. No. Hi, I'm Shant.
Hi, I'm Shant. Yesterday I see your job description. It is relevant for me. I have an experience project in VR and ar. I am making the application screens by the research of the users and research in Internet. So fintech I also learn this fintech projects by working in your industry. So that is not my problem.
So.
That is not the problem. I can learn and implement easily.
So no, it's not completed yet. Only 40 seconds is done. Tell me what are the three things which you are going to bring for this role? Start again. You can do it again because the more times you do the better you will be able to deliver it. Okay, quick preparation doesn't work here. Exactly. Before that you are going to read your codex document and bring your self introduction. I already. I already told you to prepare 10 minutes intro 5 minutes into 3 minutes, 2 minutes, 1 minute 40 seconds. If you are preparing that, only you will know what keywords to exactly prepare from your job description.
Okay?
And with that keywords only you have to connect the story with your earlier past. And once you connect the story then you have to deliver that in a very short nutshell. You have to always tell how you are relevant for that industry. You should not brag about yourself. A lot can come in the detailed interview. Okay, the very first interface, what you're connecting with the recruiters or somebody you should actually connect. Why are you relevant still? I'm not seeing why are you relevant here. You're just talking about some projects. The relevancy is not there. What will you do when you come to my company? Tell me that now. I will give you one simple structure.
Okay?
Tell about yourself. Hi, I'm Shantilal. I'm a. I'm a bachelor's degree so and so I'm coming from this place. I looked your profile through LinkedIn so what I could understand is you're looking for three skill sets. Sir, I'm having already a real time project in that I'm having this experience in this job description whatever you asked. Third part I have a little bit experience but I can able to learn on your go. So this is the three stop skills what I have which is totally aligning with your job description and I wanted to ask you is there a real time project or a design task which you can give me in this few days to start it. See I just told you only 30 seconds. But is there a flow and connectivity here? Is there the value given here properly like what is the job description? There is no connect in what you're saying and what is my expectations. Try it again. No problem. Start from the beginning, a quick intro, a connecting keywords and a story and you have to complete it.
Hi, I am Shil. Hi, I am BSc Comp. Science graduate. I am coming from MAD. So yesterday I saw your job description in UK and the skill set says matching with my experience and the in the skill set you have mentioned file frames, prototypes and visual designer Visual design using figma or adobe3 I am also having this fill set in my previous project in a virtual Crossing application I made a file frames prototype and the visual designer elements visual hierarchy and I made the application screens in Figma. So we were skill set and the value description and job description is a aligns with me.
So.
I can learn easily. I can learn easily within few days. After that give me a specific design cost same task to proven my skills.
No.
Don't tell what I said. I just gave you an example. I gave you a format, right? You should not. You should not take that exact same thing. Maybe for the company sometimes the design task is not required. Maybe their job description says this is what they want. So talk like a conversation. See you. You look like little nervous. You are very scared. I don't know why. Okay fine. Let me bring another person. But please remove this fear here. If you're having what is the point? You will not be able to deliver the interview. You will not be able to talk to the people confidently. So why fear is coming? There is no problem communication for you. It's only the problem of fear. You have not prepared enough. That is why fear is coming unnecessarily. You don't know the company yet. You don't know yourself yet completely. If you are completing that preparation inside you, you're very clear about what you want. You can relate the story to you. Right now you're just talking like some little nervousness or something like that.
No.
You should talk casually. You should not ask design task directly. You should first go and interact with that person. You have not interacted with me. You have not asked me any question. Then how will you bring that self introduction? Nobody has asked me that. Only few people are asking me that. But you're just like that. Talking, talking. Talking.
No.
You have to tell Jagdish. I saw a job description. This is the three skills you're expecting. And you know what. So you have to connect that each and every line. How will you do that? Preparation quickly is by making your document, codex document and studying it again and again. You should be clear with your existing basics. Your story, your part. Then you can able to talk in front of others in a very cohesive way. That means in a storified way. So preparation is major part which should be done before not in that interview time.
Okay.
Prepared. You will not get any fear. There is no problem of you to get fear.
Okay.
Shant. Yes.
Okay.
So now let's take Arun again. Arun wants to do it again. Yes, go ahead.
Yes. Sure sir.
So. Hi Jagdish. I am Arun Samanthrai. I am a UX designer with almost over a year of experience. I recently got to know about the job you posted on LinkedIn. I actually have experience in the finance field. As this Is a fintech company. You can see from my portfolio. I have also designed a finance dashboard as well. I can see that your job description needs a good visual designer and someone who is good at wireframing, prototyping. And you can see from my previous projects I have done those things. You have already mentioned that you need someone with design system experience. You can see I have in my previous projects and in my previous companies I have maintained a scalable design system. And you have also mentioned that you need someone who can work closely with developers, project managers and seniors. And I have also like in my previous companies, I have been a very.
1 second, 1 second, 1 second. I was expecting that you will ask some questions. You are continuously going. No. Start from the beginning again. But this time make it look like a casual conversation.
Okay.
Right now it looks like you want to fulfill this need.
You.
You wanted to complete the sentences. That compelling need should not be there. Arun, can you come with the camera if possible.
Just a second, sir. Actually I am trying if possible.
Because if you are coming live, I can able to see the body language. How are you reacting? But what happened? I'm not able to give you permission for camera.
Actually my camera is on.
How come?
Oh yeah.
Fine.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Final.
Yes, sir.
Go ahead. Keep your camera in landscape. Same like how you watch YouTube.
It's actually the mobile phone camera.
Okay. No, that's. What? Yeah, mobile. If you keep like this, it will cover some wide area. It will be good actually.
Huh.
For some reasons. If you are able to attend any interviews in mobile, please use this.
Okay.
Switch off your rotation, auto off. And then you keep it like this way.
Okay?
Please don't join in mobile. Guys, I'm. I'm highly, highly restricting you. Please join in laptop.
Okay.
I understand Arun has a little laptop issues. But anyway for other people I'm telling you join from the laptop. Switch on your camera. Yes. So now start again. Make it conversational. Make it casual. Make it little questioning.
Okay.
And then introduce yourself. Come in the center of the camera. Look at the camera and. And talk confidently. Talk little louder.
Yeah.
Hi Jagdish, this is. I have over a year of experience. I recently got to know about the job you posted on LinkedIn.
It's a great.
Junior role. And I can see. I can see that I can be a good fit to this role.
From the job description, what I have.
Read you need three skills. Mostly two. Three skills you are expecting. Can you tell me something what you are expecting from me?
Expecting from. In the sense it's Already there? No, in the three skills. What is your question? Can you ask me clearly?
Yeah, like in the sense of what you expect me to bring to this company.
So we expect the top three skills which is already there in that job description. We expect you to bring a real practical experience and we also expect a leadership role to work collaboratively with the people. Okay. Yeah, go ahead.
So in my, like I mentioned, I. You can see from my portfolio and my resume, I have all those skills you need that those are mentioned in the job description. And as you said, you need someone with the leadership skills. In my previous company, I have been a solar designer and I have been interacting with the stakeholders, with the developers and doing all those research myself. I can bring that leadership skill to you because I think I can.
Like.
I can put forward myself why I made these decisions, why I have made those changes and all those things.
Fine.
I am very good with all those peoples and you can see like all those tools like in Figma and Miro and I have been proficient in that and in my port, my portfolio showcase all those design skills I think you need.
Okay, so again, I'll give you one more chance. Last chance.
Okay.
Make it very casual. You made it little better compared to the earlier one. Good. But your question should not be very wide. You should not open a call and ask what did you expect? No, you should be more specific on that because job description is there. No. Then what that person will say, hey, first go and read the job description fully. That, that you should not allow that to happen. You should ask them. Sir, while going through the job description, I understand you require somebody who can work closely with the developer. That means my role will be completely a product designer role. But for the interface I'll have to do with developer.
Right.
So can you explain me that part? This is called a specific question. Just for the sake of asking, we should not ask. No, we should truly clarify the questions with them. Second, you should not tell. Sir, whatever you mentioned in the job description, it is there for me. No, you have to be very honest first. That is why your preparation needs to be there. When it comes to lighting out the whole list of skills, what they want in the right side match how much is your skills available for you? Okay, there is a course in learning management portal. Guys. Okay, go to your learning management portal. I want everybody to go to your learning management portal. Go to courses section.
Here.
Go to your courses section and go to week six shooting to stars. Sorry, week seven. Okay, go to week seven and week seven, day 44. What is the time one second showed me dependent towards getting a problem. Fine. Day 44 and day 46. Week seven. Day 44 and 46. I want everybody to watch this after this call.
Okay.
People who don't have the access, I'm really sorry but people who have the access please confirm me in the chat box if you're able to open the week 7. 44 and 44. And 47. 46. I'm sorry guys. 46.
Okay.
It is actually called mastering job matchmaking. Finding your perfect professional fit. I've taken a two hours master class on that. Great money. G. Great, great, great. Fine. So I want everybody to go. I mean I, I, I pasted the chat box link.
Okay.
So first of all you have to put the job description. Second you have to write the skills whichever is matching. Like let's say if you're matching that skill 10 out of 10. Let's say if you're matching that skill 7 out of 10. Let's say, if you're matching the skill 0 out of 10. It's okay. You mentioned that once. If you're able to match make it then you have to make the customized script for that interview. Hi, I'm Arun Sir. You're looking for a role. I can see in your job description that you are looking for a specific graphic visual designer, right? Majorly it's a part of UI designer. I can tell you very honestly that all of my projects in my career 90% is major of visual design. I'm. I think I'm super perfect for the role. But what I wanted to ask you is in the visual design, what software are you guys using? I'm using Figma. So far sir is the same. Oh thank you so much.
Great.
Sir, you have to get the answer. Fine. So if that is the case then I would ask what tool you do use for development purposes. In my last company we use this tool for development purpose. I can see in your job description that you you want faster delivery rates in the product development in order to happen. I can tell you that in my earlier company in 30 days we used to deliver a project. So can I also get that same thing? The full support from the management to work closely to get the project delivered faster. I will be able to work but I wanted also the team to help me support it. What are the training and support system given to me? If you can able to make me a conversation with your design leads or your team members or somebody. I can get more confident on that before committing you that.
Okay.
And also I can see that you have mentioned that you want somebody who can do fast wireframings. Are there any specific tools which I have to learn to come to your organization to do this? Wireframes or. I know a basic fig jam wireframing. I know a basic mirror wireframing. Is it enough? See what I'm talking looks like a conversation, right? Does it sound like I'm. Hi, I'm. Hi, I'm Jagdish. I. I'm. I have this experience. I have. See the moment you are talking. I'm not. I'm not only talking. I'm not only telling you, Arun. I'm telling about every people. Okay. I've seen lot of people Because I deliberately ask people. Tell about yourself. Anybody. Anybody who just makes a contact with me or I ask them. I don't know that you. You put one hat and then you go into a mode of. Oh, somebody is watching me. I have to consciously tell about myself. No, remove that thing. If you are consciously having that thought with you, you won't be able to talk properly. This is for everybody. Type out of the chat. You if you understood what I said now type out of the chat. You if you understood this. I want everyone to type out. People are not typing out. I'm going to remove them from this call. I'm really sorry. Because either you should be here or you have to be somewhere else. Don't be both the places. I don't want people who are attention deficit disorders. Please don't do that.
Okay.
Yes. Excellent. So if you are presenting yourself, you should be in a very casual tone. And you should not ask rude questions. You should not ask questions just for a sake of asking question. You should make it very conversational. How do you make it very casual? First please go and prepare your codex and self introduce yourself many times. At least do it 200 times in front of the mirror. At least do 5 times in your voice. Call and listen to your voice. These are all the methods you can able to prepare yourself very confidently.
Okay.
200 times in times of in front of mirror five times. You have to listen to your voice. Putting a headphones. What will happen when you put your voice to you? You will know what kind of a silly, silly mistakes you're doing inside the communication. Nobody can give you correction. Only you can give your corrections. I will tell you. I will keep one benchmark. I will tell you. You are not talking. This I will tell you. Hey you are coming. Your communication. You are not using what you call connective words. I may be telling. Oh no. Your grammatical mistakes are coming. Everybody has a different expectation. Okay, you ask everybody, Everybody will give you 100 feedbacks. But you are the only person who can able to give yourself a feedback. Listening to your own voice is very, very, very, very important. Every time when I do a podcast, I listen to that podcast fully because I will have to improve you. Go and listen to my first podcast. How? Mumbling, fumbling. I was nervous, I was shaky. I was not able to talk properly. My audio quality was bad. I did not have the good tool. Nothing was perfect. Perfection will only come when you go ahead. Today I'm in the 287th episode of my podcast. You can see my sound quality is very equivalent to a professional sound studio. And my clarity in communication. I'm able to break down the podcast easily. Introduction, content, call to action. And I will talk only about the pain point of the student. I will not talk randomly here and there. No pluff. I am able to complete a podcast in three to five minutes. Recently, 20 minutes earlier I used to talk. 15 minutes earlier I used to talk. Now I concise it to five minutes. So perfection will only come when you make mistakes. Perfection will only come when you do practice. Perfection will only come when you do nasty mistakes going along. If you think, think, think, ask, ask, ask. Nothing will happen. I'm telling you, this is the only way to cross this border. This is the only way to cross this line. If you're not able to cross this line without any practice, I'm sorry, you will have lot of problems going the line, okay? So nobody can give you coaching and training program for this. Guys, please don't expect that. If you're expecting that and that is not going to come, you will not find any material for this outside. Even if some of the best trainers in the world are going to come and give you self introduction, practice or job description, preparation. No, it's not going to work until you understand what mistakes you're doing. Are you guys getting it? Are you guys getting this clarity? Yeah. I prepared some content for you, but the point is I wanted people to do it live in front of me.
Okay?
That is the reason I want everybody to come and answer.
Good.
Thank you Aaron for coming forward and boldly doing it. I'm sure you will crack results. I'm sure you will get results really fast. I appreciate you. Thank you for Shantilal. Shantila, you're doing lot of mistakes, but you have to practice it again and again and again and again. See, don't ask me how many times you have to Practice. If it requires 2,000 times to be practiced to make you casual, you have to do it until you get results. You have to do two days before 1 of the student, she said she's not coming for the classes properly.
Okay.
She said I'm not getting results. I asked her how are you applying for the job? I asked her how did you approach the people? I asked her what is. Where is your projects, everything? There is some lag in that person. I said if you're not having the quality of the expectation work or the communication or or the right things, what you have to do in LinkedIn, how can you expect results? You know Jagdish, I've been coming for a lot of time for the classes. Coming to classes is not the point. You have to do the things rightly. That is the point. Said no, I want results, I want job. I'm in a financial bad situation. If I'm not going into job, I'm. I'll be in a big trouble. That is the reason exactly. You have to follow the process blindly. If somebody is telling you so. Getting emotional is not the point here. And doing your own way and expecting different results is not the point here. You have to follow the method and the process. Don't be creative in this. Put your creativity inside your project. Put your creativity on the project. Put your creativity on ideation session, not in the process. These are all well proven methods. If I tell you 200 times, you have to practice, you have to become conversational. I've introduced myself more than thousand to th times. In fact I did not have account. I mean it would have definitely be beyond that only the reason being. Okay, I'm in the public forum, I'm speaking, I'm helping students, I'm conducting certain webinars. That is okay, but for you guys at least you have to do 200 times. How will you talk 200 times? You should know about yourself completely. Till date till yesterday. What was your entire profile? What is your real top skills? What is your true goal in your life? What is your mission in your life? What are the highest three values in your life? What is your type of personality? And what is your Codex document really telling? And what's your 10 minute intro? 5 minute intro, 4 minute, 3 minute, 2 minute, 1 minute 40 second. Based on the job description quickly you will have to plug and play and talk. This only comes by practice. This will not come by randomness. Okay, so type out practice in the chat box. How many times you wanted to practice? Like, let's say 100. Put 100 practice. You wanted to practice 10 times. I want everybody to type out in the chat the number what you wanted to practice. I want to see that. I want to see everybody to type out in the chat. 100. Excellent. Srinivas. Good. What about others? 250. Excellent. Neha. Good. Good.
Excellent.
Excellent. Going beyond the numbers. Pish. 100.
Okay.
What about others? 200 as 100. Okay guys, so I will give you an activity.
Okay.
I'll give you an activity to me in my WhatsApp conversation. If you are able to record one minute of yourself again and again. Okay. You should not talk something very different. 60 seconds. When the timer hits, you should switch off that voice audio.
Okay?
You should not do any rehearsal. Go to my WhatsApp chat. My chat. Switch on the voice record one minute, introduce yourself. Second, introduce yourself. Third, introduce yourself. Fourth, fifth, make it 50 times continuously without non stop.
Okay?
If you feel little tired, take a 22 minutes quick break and join back again. Try to complete 200 self introduction. About you. I will tell you. When you do it for the five, six times, seventh or eighth time you will have some clarity coming inside you. First of all, when you do it 20 to 30 times more you will know what structure to talk, what exactly not to talk. When you do it beyond 50 times, you will exactly know what only to talk. There is no doubt. If you do it for more than 60, 70, 80 times, you will know based on the person sitting in front of you what you have to talk after 100 times. This becomes natural for you. You will just talk. Hey Aravind, can you talk about yourself quickly you will talk. Hey, can you tell about your three projects? You will know. Hey, can you tell about yourself? Detailing explaining your one big project?
You will know.
So that customization can come only when you practice, practice, practice again and again and again and again and again. There is one of the student called Sudha.
Okay.
She.
She. She actually worked with us a month before. Month or 45 days before. I think she was having experience. She was having lot of good projects. She's a real time experience person. Okay, three years experience. She has three or four years. She was not able to crack interviews again and again failing multiple interviews. Big, big interviews, MNC interviews. She's going into SAP. She's going into Wipro. She's going to many industries. Okay, but not able to crack. I asked her to do the same thing 25 times. She has sent me the introduction. Before that six times. Before that three times, two more than 50 times. She has practiced introduction again and again and again. On top of it. She's not able to tell. I told her first take a script. At that time Codex was not there.
Okay.
I asked her to write the script manually and do it. She was little better. Again she did it little better. I asked her to record a video and send me little better. I asked her to put a lot of voice notes. Close to 100 times. She has practiced and it became supernatural for her. And you will not believe she got many offers after that. She got. She got cracked one interview and then she got a very good salary. She was extremely happy. In fact, she almost doubled her salary. So we did not work on any new projects. We did not work on portfolio. We did not work on many aspects. We only worked on projecting herself carefully. And I asked her to take the best achievements in her past. I asked her to take the best stories which she can bring from the past. Practice it again. Again. Again. Match with the job role. Match with the job role talk stories. Match with the job role talk stories. She's able to clear it.
Okay.
She is very comfortable in Hindi. She doesn't know English. Still. Her communication was bad only. But she talks exactly what other people want. That is called true success of a communication. Talking hi fi. English is not communication. If you understood what I said now type you. Type you.
If.
If you really understood that. Because a lot of people think talking English is really necessary. I will be rejected if I'm not talking English. That is not correct.
Yes. Okay.
So now I think I've given you enough information. I want everybody to go and type out what is your top three takeaways in our class?
Okay.
Yeah. This is one content. Don't. Don't worry about it. Honestly speaking, I have not seen the content.
Okay.
I'm just talking to you based on the feedback what I'm getting from the students.
Cool. Fine.
So I'm just taking one snap.
Okay. So. No, it's not good. Okay.
So I'm just putting it in the chat box in the. In the learning management portal. Just a second. Please go and comment your learnings guys before you leave this call.
Okay.
Because we have covered lot more things here. Ultimately if you're not able to reflect, you will not retain it.
Okay.
Go to the feed section in lms. Yeah.
Yes. Guys, tell me.
I have just pasted the.
Link.
Guys, just one second. I had to create the exact.
Yep.
Published. Guys, please go and comment your learnings.
Okay.
Only few minutes are left in this call. Please go and publish it. I mean please go and comment your learnings I'll pin the post.
Okay?
And people have joined brand new. Please go and take your option in the level up that your your portal has been unlocked. Kindly utilize it to the maximum, okay? Because level up is going to truly level up your game. Kindly utilize it to the maximum because today evening is the last time for the dashboard.
Okay?
I think a lot of people have come to the top. Shanti Ral Srini Boss Punish and also in the today's evening call whoever is getting like let's say whoever is getting lot of callbacks and design tasks or maybe if you have completed an interview, you will have to tell me in this week for each and every count you are going to get 100 points. Let's say if you got 10 design tasks in this week, you're already getting thousand points. You will be in the top. Who wants to grab the Apple headset with that level of information level of appreciation? Because we can only dedicate for the people who whoever is taking results not by doing lot of work. That is not required. You have to get the results ultimately by doing the right things.
Right?
Okay, so now I want everybody to go and type in your learning management portal. What is your top takeaways? Fine, Great.
Great.
Somebody wants to ask me a question. Please go ahead. We are stopping the live share. But anyway, just a second. Are you here? Were you able to listen to this program carefully? I think people are attending. Okay, fine, no problem. We are stopping this live share. And people who wanted to come live and experience this program, I would highly recommend you to register in my online webinar 11 o' clock at Sunday. We will be doing it with a full clarity of how you can able to 3x your UI UX job career with simple six steps.
Okay?
Because learning this one one skill is okay. Ultimately if you're not able to connect your pieces, you will not get results. Why are you learning skills? If you keep on learning 100 skills, that is okay. But you will have to stick on something and you have to practice it again and again. Whichever you lack which makes account for you, then and only you will truly get results. Or else it becomes one more school or college. You keep on learning from one standard to 12 standard and college and everything. Nothing is implemented in the real time.
Okay?
So understand the importance of the skill booster session. It is to help you visualize and have a perspective. But ultimately you'll have to start the things right and do it right. Then and only you'll see the full results happening. People are very closely working with me in the job special. They will know what exact strategies we are doing, what exact methods we are taking for each and every person in order to get results. If you do it alone, it will take a lot of time. That is why you need some kind of a community or a support or an accountability to help that. If you wanted that, jump in. I'll definitely help you guys.
Okay?
Yes, fine. Thank you.
