Day 34-Reaching Out and Getting Contacts of HRs-Inner circle Recharge - Weekly saturday 6 PM

Jagdish walks through how to find and contact HR professionals on LinkedIn for UX/UI design jobs. The session covers messaging strategies, building trust with recruiters, and spotting scams that target job seekers.
Skill booster plan what we had for every single day it's going to be reflected. So this is the last pain point which our students have asked. Okay, so I'll share my screen so that you can know like what is this pain point about?
Okay.
I'm just highlighting myself so that it could be better for all of us. Okay, great guys.
Good.
And just confirm me if you are able to see the screen once I'm doing it. Okay. Welcome guys. Welcome to the Skill Booster. We're actually live and in this particular call we are going to learn a skill called reaching out and getting contacts of hr. See this is all about how are you going and getting the network with the hr.
Right?
So people, and particularly our students have earlier been talking to hrs and talking to many designers and they are going into the way of converting those into interviews and design tasks and all these things. Right, but how to go and reach these people first?
Okay.
Even though the LinkedIn optimization I've taught you and you've been doing it, but there are predominant steps which you can try it out. How we can reach these people in a massive way and how we can build as a big network. This is a very important skill which I'll go through it step by step for you. Okay, so just follow me and I'm also giving the YouTube live stream so that you can invite your friends also whoever is available at this particular time. Okay, just give me a second. I'm just copy pasting this. Maybe you can put it in your group live. That would be better as well. I'm just pasting it in the WhatsApp group. Okay, I can't able to join sir. Okay, I'm sorry Kiran, I think now you must be great. Okay, fine, fine, fine. Okay, okay, okay, okay great. Just a second because I can't do it otherwise. So that's the reason I'm doing it. I'm just following it for the people whoever have asked me. Okay, okay, now I'm super great. Okay guys, so this is, this is the skill what you're going to see. Reaching out and getting contact of the hr. Okay, so what is the skill about? It is all about networking and contacting of the HR and focusing on UX specific roles. Particularly a student who has asked this question which is, which is respect to more of technical like the. The technology roles and E commerce industry roles.
Okay.
So the thing is the formula remains same for everything. Even though I might specifically give some example. But this is pretty much same for everybody. Okay, so don't worry about that part you'll be you. You can able to correlate is what I'm trying to say.
Okay, great.
So direct job connections, job reference, career growth. This is the importance of it. See we can go and tap three areas. One is connections. This is very important. Second is reference. So you can ask their HR to refer you. Are you guys understanding or not? Maybe that HR is not in design team but that HR is working in TCs. You understand, right? Or maybe somewhere else their company design openings will be there, right? So each and every employee will be first happy to refer you. Because there are a lot of benefits they are also getting when they refer you.
Okay?
Maybe if you don't know what is happening when somebody refers you, you have to go and talk to some person who is working in the corporate. I will tell you what they are.
Going to get, okay?
They're going to get great respect in their company when they refer it, okay? The company builds a lot of trust on them. That is why they're asking to bring a lot of people here, okay? And the other thing is they get huge money while they refer. So nobody will stop you if you're. If you're asking for a referral. If they are stopping you, then maybe you have not enough build the trust. They don't want to take response.
Okay?
Like let's say minimum 20, 30k they will get per person there effort. But honestly speaking people don't give just like that referral. They will understand you. They'll trust you then only that is why the LinkedIn formula is very, very important. You will have to build the trust before you ask anything. Even if you ask suggestions or anything which is with, with respect to that matter you should be more careful while you're moving ahead with each messages and follow it up, okay? Because if you move the wrong thing, people will not trust you. Then there is no point in giving reference. Because ultimately if you are achieving this, only your career growth comes.
Okay?
This is very important. That's why we are learning this particular skill. Okay? So let's understand why is this skill matters.
Okay?
I told you job success rate improves. Like let's say if you're searching for a job for let's say 10 to 20 industries at a time, your conversion ratios will be much faster. Even when you search 10 jobs, you'll be able to convert at least one or two into your proper job. Because when you ref. When you get referral from somebody, the company who is seeing that will give you a lot of leverage to go for the next next rounds. How many of you don't know this because what happens when you refer inside organization These profile will go little fast into the HRS as well as the top management. Maybe if you have two, three rounds they can able to put you fast track and make you go into final round. Or perhaps the trust factor is built and they will be giving you directly the design tasks or whatever.
Okay.
So guys can you tell me in the, in the chat box what do you think is a single factor? Single word? You don't type in sentences.
Okay.
Single word do you think is the determining factor for job? I want to ask you before we go forward, can somebody tell me like what is the determining factor for somebody who's going to give you a job? Right? On what basis they are going to give you a job? Type me that one word. Type me that one word. Accountability. Are we just typing accountability? Sneha is typing skill set value. Nobody has gotten very close. People are diverging. Shantila stripe Trust. Type trust. That's great guys. That is the right answer. Trust. People are going to give you only job when they trust you. When when you make them, hey I'm trustworthy. Are you showing your portfolio or the resume or your communication which is making them tell hey, this person is super trustworthy. We can give job opportunities for this person. He will be able to deliver it and he will be able to last in this company for a long time. He will protect our confidential data. He will make sure he will deliver the values and then he will, he will meet the expectation and then he will convert our business into more profitable business. If that trust is able to build by you in a very, very short span of time, your interview success is super fast. People who don't know that they have a lot of time in taking job search process. People who understand it, maybe by subconsciously you understood already or maybe by some luck factor you understood it already.
Good.
You are at the right track. You will see the applications coming, will be really really accepting for you. Like you will convert most of the application. So if somebody is rejecting you, you have to first go and check that. And same goes on the other side. When you reject a company, you should also have understood the trust on the other side very carefully. Okay? It works on both the sides. Don't think this way. It works on the both sides.
Okay?
So that is the reason why people were not able to give you opportunities like this. What year? I thought it's portfolio, I thought it's figma. I thought it's skill set. A lot of people type skill set Accountability, it's okay, fine. But majorly, people need to understand to trust you. Like let's say if you are working in a business, okay, I'll tell you maybe who is doing business here apart from, apart from work, who's doing some kind of a business. Maybe with that example I can able to tell you.
Okay, okay.
Business. Nobody's doing business in this particular inner circle. Call. Maybe I can see the YouTube live. Just a second guys, hold on. Okay, I'll tell you.
Great.
So people who are doing business, I'll ask you one very important question. How do you first give an opportunity for somebody like let's say they wanted to collaborate with you on a business angle or they wanted to be a partner of you. Or maybe they wanted to take over your this part of the business or you wanted to outsource some of the work from your organization to others. On what basis you will transact with them as a business partner. If you tell, trust is the first answer. You're on the right track. If you tell, I work with agreement, I work with some contract. I work with some clarity. No, if something has been put as a contract or anything, that itself shows that the trust is not built. Very simple. Your relationship will not lie for a long time. Your relationship will go very fast. Okay, yeah, agreements can be there. But beyond that you should also understand that you have to build a trust with that person and that person also has to build trust with you. Businesses has built only based on trust. Trust is always a new currency, guys. It's not, it's, it's. It's more valued than the money, gold, silver, anything. I would say trust is the currency. The more social trust you have, the more social peace we have. The information and other things you have, people will be able to trust you a lot. That is why I'm telling you create a lot of content in LinkedIn. I mean one of our students has a podcast channel, Shantila. You'll have to publish it, you'll have to showcase it in your resume portfolio. You'll have to do something like a social activity so that people will understand this guy is not going to run away from this design field. He is very strong and congruent in his topic. He has become so much of subject matter expertise. If I see his LinkedIn profile, he has written close to 5 to 10 blogs about this topic. Like let's say if you want to work in a AR VR industry, or maybe you are very passionate about fintech industries, cryptocurrencies or something. One of our student is Also interested in cryptocurrencies. You will have to go very deep. What are the new trends which is happening in the cryptocurrencies? What is the change which people are making in terms of banking sector? How is the financial what you call usage is getting changed after the advent of this cryptocurrencies and you should try to understand and adopt the trends. When you build that trend information and put it in your social media post and when you share it in in the interviews and all these things, trust is already built. This guy is very congruent on this topic. This guy is not only saying he's very passionate, passionate, passionate but he is also demonstrating that people will subconsciously feel it. This is the most most important thing. People lose the job because of missing factor. Many people ask me Jagdish, my portfolio is getting rejected for your portfolio is not enough Conveying the trust with the people. So don't ask me how do I make it trustworthy. I will tell you some techniques but ultimately the question has to be coming from you. Because every person is different. Every person is unique and novel. Your skill set is very unique and novel. Your industry targeting is very not very different for you.
Okay.
And you have to know what is the things which I have to do in order to build this trust. If you understand this, I'm telling you lifelong you will not have any problem for job search process. How many of you understood what I said? Now type you. How many of you just understood what I said? Now type you. Because it is very important. It has to go inside you. Okay.
Yes, yes.
Yes. What about others people who don't understand type n you. It's okay. I'll explain you. Definitely I explained you an abstract concept. It's not easy to understand.
Okay.
I think a lot of people have understood you. That's great. If you're understanding that, you will have to start getting results. Very simple.
Okay.
So now the question is how do I build trust? That is what people are already asking me. Hey, how do I do it? How do I do it? How do I do it? That is the. That is the ultimate thing, right? So wait, I'll tell you.
Okay.
So it improves a job success rate, access to hidden opportunities, referrals and internal thing. Personalized advice from the hr. So what happens when you. When you build this information like let's say the trust. You'll be able to get in touch with a lot of hrs. You'll be able to get in touch with a lot of employees. You'll be able to get Your interview success faster. Okay. What happens at this when I talk with the hr? See, whenever you're talking to a hr, you should ask for advice. Don't ask for jobs, please directly mean. In fact you should not ask job for anybody. The moment when you try talking with somebody, it is very, very advisable that you are actually asking this person. Can you tell about your company? Can you tell about a design role? Can you tell about how people like me can can grow in your organization? Similarly, because I'm thinking of career switch. But I've not decided which industries to apply for. But I saw your profile in LinkedIn. You wrote many good articles. And then you. Your presence is really good. You have a lot of followers. I really understand and trust you. So I wanted to ask you. Can you give me a few feedbacks? I understand you're a hr. Can you tell me what you expect in a person like me? So you should ask them the same question to them. They should get little shock. Hey, why is this guy asking me like this? So they will become friend of you. See, ultimately have that intention clear. Don't try to trick people. We are not doing some manipulative techniques here. If you're using those manipulative techniques, please don't use any of this. We are not having that. We are not having that kind of an intention to talk with people. Okay, Hidden agenda. Let me go and talk to these people. No, truly build the trust. That is why I'm telling you. See, ultimately you have to understand. People in the LinkedIn are there for a reason.
Okay.
You are there for some reason, right? They are also there for some reason. Understand this very carefully and then try talking to those people. Build a genuine connection. Hi. So which place you're from? I can see you're from Bombay.
Great.
I've been to Bombay once.
Great.
Okay. Superb. Sir, I. I wanted to know because a lot of HRS are rejecting my profile. I can see you're a hr. Can you just tell me what are the three things which I have to improve? Because I'm tired. I'm really fed up. See, that person will be very happy to come and help you if you do that. Okay, so use many methods. Again I'm telling you the 12 books and five curiosity hooks, whatever I gave you, super, super wonderful guys. If you apply that strategy with each and every people, I'm telling you 100 people will reply you. Provided if that person is there in LinkedIn actively. Okay, there is no 80, 90. I'm telling 100 people will reply you. Because I've given you three ways of following up. I've given you three way of how you can message to follow. Please go and watch the silver membership course bonus. Okay, I've already told you that step by step.
Okay.
And I've told you how we can get started with interaction with the people, how we can use the hooks, how we can use from the Codex to the hook and also start messaging. Very, very customized and personalized. Doesn't matter it's a HR or CEO or anything works. If you apply the same method and start talking to people, you can build a huge contact for the HR base. Yeah, you can have one day for specifically hr. Let me not talk to designers. You can, you can try talking like hey, I'll go and talk with only hrs. Yeah, do that. One of the student, I think in the last batch, he did that, he said many interviews, he's failing. But I said you don't talk to designers, you only talk with hr. Hr, hr. Try talking with them. Say good morning, good evening. Hi. Hi. Sell portfolio. Ask, ask feedback this, that and then ask referral. Build only with network of designers, the recruiters. I said out of five people you're talking four people should be hr. So you have to understand how these things work. See, in earlier part skill booster session I told about how the HR industry works. What are the two different types of three different types of HRS available, how the hiring cycle really works, what are the different types of industries available and in that industry, what are the different verticals? It is available for a startup, for a medium scale, for a corporate, for a. For a sustained growth industry. So you will have to understand the dynamics is very different. We cannot have a single formula to really tell, hey, this only works. No, it is very important to build this.
Okay?
Even though you have a job of 6 LPA, even though you have a job of 60 LPA, it doesn't matter. For me you have to know this technique. You have to know how to talk with people. You'll have to build the trust. Because I've seen people who are getting 36 LPAs in product design and UI design going out of the job in next day. If you don't have this kind of a network with you, you will be feeling so depressed. If you have this kind of a good network with you on a regular basis, you're talking with the people in the next day or next week itself, you will be able to convert these people into asking them chance for interview or maybe to build trust again. Start telling, hey, see I've Been having some issues in my industry. I would like to know is it a good time for me to transition into your organization? We've been connected on LinkedIn for more than a month. We had a lot of discussion. I've shared you good materials. Could you suggest me imagine if you have 100 hrs in the list. If you put this one message to 100 people like this based on the customization, what do you think it will happen in next one week you will be getting at least 10 to 20 interview calls. Because out of this 100 out of this 100 hrs whomever you're talking with, every industry will have hiring process. Some industry will be very active. Some industry will be recruiting designers. Some people will give you the opportunity to referrals. So a lot of things will happen. You can go into this industry.
Okay.
See again, don't ask me Jagdish. How come see, 36 LPA people are coming down value mismatch, not having clarity in their career. They don't know what is mean by goals. They have just like that gone into the top level. Ultimately they'll come down. Okay, you guys are going with the proper basics. Whoever is following the process, okay. So don't worry. You guys will be in a great format to go and achieve it. You will never come back. Provided I also put one.
One.
I mean I'm also putting one course in this gold membership program which is called how you can able to sustain your growth inside the company. Because when you're going into the job you should also understand there are things which you have to do to sustain it. Because you are directly jumping into a bigger role from a very very smaller. Okay, you're not going by the current hiring process. You're not going by the 3.25 LPA process next year. 30% hike next year after 15 years you will get approximately 8 to 9 LPA. If you go by that job, there is no problem using these techniques. I've seen people getting 13.5 lpa directly. So you will have to know how to sustain that also. I'm also putting on course now. You'll see it in the next week coming. I'm going to release it in the design verse.
Okay.
So you will see that is also very important how you can able to manage that thing. Or else what happens, you will immediately short circuit and people will be rejecting you. Hey, it seems like you're talking very superficial. We don't trust you. So those things will happen.
Okay?
So please. That's why I'm telling you There are a lot of factors after you go inside the job also. So don't think like okay, I will be in a complete enjoying mode. I got the job, have that enjoyment. But it doesn't mean that you should stop learning. These are all the things which you'll have to keep learning. And then only you'll be able to have a true freedom in your life. Don't think like freedom means let me go to Hawaii island and then I'll start sipping some mango juice and then I'll sleep there. No, people who are the biggest billionaires in the world, they are not doing that.
People who.
People who are the middle class and very very lower up middle class family are only thinking that is a true freedom. No, people are working their ass off. Who's. Who's there in the top of the wealth, health, technology, brain, whatever. Okay, so it true freedom comes with a lot of discipline. My mentor always used to say when you want freedom, freedom like let's say financial freedom or career wise freedom or abundance or anything, you need to have a high level of discipline. Freedom comes with discipline is equal to discipline. He says if you don't have high level of discipline, you will not have any freedom. If you have any small amount of discipline, you will have small freedom. You will have hyper discipline. Whether somebody is coming or not, whether is going to do or not, whether somebody has going to come and attend your class or not. I'm conducting the session at 6 o'.
Clock.
Simple. I don't know how much people are going to come in the classes, in the. In the live call and all. But I'm doing it.
Okay?
I'm just taking one example because I have to tell you, I am also following that. It's not like I'm only talking, okay? And same like you, whatever is there for your end, if you have to learn it, you have to learn it. Then and only you will see yourself driven into a path of a proper freedom. Because discipline is equivalent to freedom.
If you.
If you're not following this method and doing some random stuffs, I'm telling you guys, anytime the process will be shaky and you will come down. That is why I'm telling you have a two sustainable job as a sustainable fair exchange job. Not just getting a job is success. That is ultimately waste of time and effort.
Okay?
You'll go back to ground zero. Don't worry. You may be jumping now. I am in 3.8.5 LP. I'm in 4 LPA. You will go back.
Wait Baba, wait.
You are. You are not understood the process now you will go back, people will throw you or you itself will come out. Either things will happen.
Okay?
A lot of people out there in the market who are, who are calling them themselves as a UI UX designer, they're utterly doing graphic design work, okay? They're utterly making posters, they're only building screens in Figma. These people, by the time they realize this is not actually the problem solving UI UX field, their industry would be removed. This people, or maybe their industry will try to push you to work on Saturdays, 10 hours, 12 hours. You do this work, you do that work. No, no, no. 25,000 only we can give you. No, no, no, no. 30,000. We don't have budget. No, no, no, no, no. Very difficult.
No, no, no, no, no.
You are in, you're in a very, very dangerous zone, okay? That company will throw you immediately in one day. You should be in a level to reject companies, not the other way around.
Okay?
So if you have this kind of a network with you guys, you will not operate with that kind of a scarcity mindset. Please be common mistakes to avoid cold messaging without research. I already told you, not following it up. I told you, follow up is money rise and follow. My matter used to say simple, okay? He used to relate it with many things. Like let's say if you are in any field, doesn't matter, money lies in follow up. He used to say if you are a person who wants to get a lot of leads, a lot of closings, a lot of sales and all these things, follow, follow. If you want to go and talk to hr, if you want to get your results and if you wanted to really elevate your career, follow up, talk to people. Follow up, follow up, follow up. But follow up is a boring activity. Guys. Nobody likes this, right? So boring, so frustrating. Boring, frustrating. Can I tell you something? Whatever is boring, whatever is frustrating, that is where the real money is. Look at the field like let's say stock market. How many of you feel it's boring and frustrating? That's where the real wealth is. People have created a lot of wealth because of stock market. Any subject is good. If you go and start learning, you'll understand it. Okay, so like let's say a lot of people think oh, who will message these people? Yeah rule talk to these people. Who will build this message? I'm telling you that is a boring process, right? That's where the real potential is. Who knows, Maybe the company HR can even refer you for 20lpa job and you may be fit for that. Overnight you can able to get a super job. But you should not wait for one. One day it will happen. Okay? You have to build the network then only it will happen over the time and you will be able to keep those network in your LinkedIn forever.
Okay?
You should build lot of connections. You should post a lot of content. Same time, you have to engage with the other person's content as well. Appreciate them, tell them that what you learned from their messages and give them suggestion. Hey, I can see that you're doing this. Why don't you try this? I. I think it will be very helpful for you. I've tried this AI tool. Can you try this AI tool? It predominantly works, maybe. I can see you're doing posters here. Why don't you use this tool? This saves your time. So give that kind of a value also for the people so that they learn better.
Okay?
Overemphasizing on salary. This is also one big emphasis. People do it.
Okay?
The reason why people are having a lot of rejections and other things is this. This concepts are misunderstood.
Okay?
But these are all not actually the problem. This is the in fact the growing stepping stone, I would say. Okay, so steps to master the skill. I will tell you how to master the skills fast.
Okay.
First of all, research about the company or the person and make sure you personalize the message. How do you do it? Very simple, guys. Go to your codex.
Okay.
Write personal message. Follow, follow, follow. Build trust, passport.
Okay?
And tell your intention very clearly when you're writing this message. Tell your intention clearly. What is your intention? Sir, I want to ask a feedback from you. Sir, I wanted to understand what's happening in your industry. Sir, I wanted to ask you one important thing, like you have any vacancy in your company or not?
Okay.
I can see people are asking the very first time, don't do that. Your intention should be very clear. And then you message accordingly so that you will know it.
Okay?
And then that is why you can. I. I'm also putting it here. You can do this as well here.
Okay.
Use LinkedIn effectively. Search using the keywords, filtering out the company location, size. I've already told you the LinkedIn X ray tool, right? Boolean X Ray tool. Try to use that. People are having LinkedIn Premium. They have the option to choose their filters very carefully. Try using that, okay. And join industry specific groups. This is one of the great way to do. Because you'll find a lot of like minded people inside the forum. You can engage with these people. What happens when you engage with these people? These people will be already in the line. They'll be having some like let's say if you are in a UX growth or maybe job support forum or something, okay. Or maybe UX AR VR technology forum, something which is related. So people are already like minded. You don't have to even put a lot of hook. And all these efforts, they will be automatically connected because you are already aligned to their mission and they are also aligned to your mission itself.
Okay?
Oh, that's great. Has. Super point. Has. Excellent, excellent. I. I'll. I'll help you. Thank you so much. I'll help you. See guys, and lot of times some of our people are also having this problem today. I'm going to address that. Listen very carefully. After this I'll tell you.
Okay?
So I'm just putting it as a separate point so that you will understand what it is.
Okay? Yes.
So the first is research and personalize your message. I already told you that. Very, very simple and very effective. After this, use your LinkedIn strategy effectively. Like let's say use the searches properly. Please use the features which is there in the LinkedIn first case. A lot of people are not first using that itself. You're just going here and there, jumping here and there, going. But whatever is there inside the LinkedIn, you guys are not utilizing it properly. Try to understand and use that first, okay? And join industry specific groups and forums and start talking with the people and use email. Cold outreach. This is actually more super. When you personalize a message but don't use this often, okay? You will get only 5 credits or 10 credits for a for monthly account. Even if you're on a premium, it will be there. But use it for very, very high level of people, okay? So you can definitely give connections and they will be accepting your connections for 80% of the people.
Okay?
Those people you can build trust casually. If you are cold reaching to the people, be very specific. Like let's say if you have a furniture project and you want to go into a furniture industry and you have seen some furniture related job openings and you wanted to talk to some furniture related designers or somebody, then you can use this InMail strategy to pitch them. Because this is a direct pitch what you're making and you're telling your intention clearly in that email itself. And this comes with a lot of iterations. You have to draft that message and show me and I will also give you approval. I'll also ask you whether you have did the research or not. Show the Excel sheet, what score you're getting, what Factors you analyzed how it is aligning to your codecs and values. Then only we can able to use this.
Okay.
So get my approval and do it. If you just like that, call me. I don't. I won't tell you. You will have to use the Excel sheet Codex. And then only you have to come to me. I'll help you.
Okay. Good.
Optimizing your profile. LinkedIn optimization. Create a value proposition. Prepare questions and follow up. See guys, people who have ideally did that activity yesterday. Whoever has got one interview call, I gave them the gift. Okay, you can ask Muu. Mu has got one interview call. He has applied the ST strategies. Has got the interview call.
Yes.
Mu, tell me. So did you attend that interview? Whether you success or not, that is different. But you, You.
You.
You attended the interview, right? Yes. That's okay. My responsibility here as a mentor is to show you the right path results. Yeah. You will get it according to your. What you call your variables. Maybe you will be doing little mistakes or maybe you you'll be in a little off track sometimes and you'll be not consistent. You'll be not working effectively or hardly or that's okay. For different people the different result comes but ultimately you will get results for sure.
Okay.
I've shared with Muthu 100 plus questions which you can ask for HR. You can ask for design leads. You can ask for CEOs. You can ask for co designers. I've categorized and given to them. Okay, so whoever is completing like let's say tomorrow. Tomorrow is Sunday, right? Let's take Monday. Okay, Sunday and Monday whoever is completing at least one interview getting interview call freshly.
Okay.
I'll be able to share that link with you. 150 questions how you can ask in the interview and really filter out the industries fast. Sometimes the questioning will help you filter out. That is where your job search process will be even more faster. Okay, so when you have that questions very clear then you will also be able to create a value proposition. What is your value and how are you going to contribute to these organization? Because when you have these things clearly, when you talk with the people, you will see a lot of people getting connected with you. You can say to the hr, hey hr, I understand that you are trying to help me out with the insights. I'm telling you, if you need any kind of a support, you can also ask me. I'll help you. If you need a senior HR in my company, I'll help you. Maybe that could be also a value proposition.
Okay.
Not only project value proposition, you can also help them.
Okay.
And you can also tell them you need any interested candidates in this particular experience. You give me a job description. I have a group in Figma and I have some group in WhatsApp. I have some group in like let's say LinkedIn where close to 20,000 people are there, 15,000 people are there. And imagine if you put that one LinkedIn message that HR will be flooded with calls. Of course, for hr, people are their count, right? How much people are they interviewing? How much people are they selecting? That's their measure. So you're doing a true value proposition help for them.
Okay?
They will be very interested to connect with you. And if that company is really taking an advantage of you. One use case happened, okay? Two days yesterday it happened. I don't want to tell the name of the student.
Okay.
Two use case happened the last two days. Okay, I'll take one use case. One of our students said Jagdish, they are calling for a full time role. Full time role? Full time role. Finally if I get selected, they're telling we can only offer you 10,000. 15,000, 20,000.
Okay.
Earlier also this person has worth 25,000. They're saying we, we will give you three months, 25,000. Then after that we'll hire you. But initially they have not told they're taking for internal. Initially they're putting as a full time UI UX role. What should you do? You should tell that hr hey, if you're looking for an intern, you should tell that you're hiring for an intern on the first go on the first message on the first talk with you, right? You have literally taken a lot of my time. And you have also taken your time, right? So why are you not being clear? See, if you start doing it like this, how come people will believe you? How do you believe? You are a very true person who is looking for a proper skills. See, I put my lot of efforts. I've completed the design task, I've interviewed. I have a talk with your team and your interview process. And I've also been researching about your organization. I put almost five to six hours in the last two days to understand and come to this process. I think you're simply just like that telling no, we are hiring for freshers. No, we can give you 10,000, 15,000. What is this? Sir, if you are very genuine, do that in the upfront. If you're not, I will tell you your company. No designers you will be able to get. I will blacklist your company in the LinkedIn. I'll block your profile. And then I'll put your message in my group where 20,000 people are there as a Figma group or WhatsApp group. This company is trying to trick the people by not telling the expectation clearly. Please don't apply for this job. Please don't get a call back for this company. Also you will never get any designers. If that word spreads fast in social media, you will not get any designs. Then you'll have to go for other state to get it. That company HR will literally go into diarrhea if you tell them. But you should tell carefully. If these people are demonstrating this kind of a behavior, you will have to tell them. But not all people are like that. Don't think only 10 to 20% people are like that. Use them. Tell them these things. Because you are also putting efforts, right? Ultimately you should know sir, if you are doing something, tell us properly. Will help you. Definitely I'm help you definitely. If you need any support, I'll do it. But if you're taking advantage, I can see a lot of design hrs. They collect a lot of design tasks from you. Close to 200 people are completing a design task. They're getting a freelancing work done from you. Where they have to pay lakhs of rupees.
Okay.
And they'll tell you we'll get back to you. That's it. And even when you try to reach that person, they'll tell no. We are hiring for only precious. No. We can offer you 8k. We can offer you 10k. What do you say? Hello. Security guy is getting more than 20,000 in today.
Okay.
So don't try to underestimate the skills. Maybe you can tell we wanted to understand you better. You work for a month, will then give you salary this much. That is okay. That is far more better.
Okay.
But people trying to use you like a labor. I can see lot of answers with our students are coming with this level of answers. And see guys, it's a. It's not a problem of hr. It is a problem of you not choosing the right strategy. You not choosing the right. You not choosing the right. Okay, so you not choosing the right industry. That is the problem. You not choosing the right targeted industry. If you're not choosing the right targeted industry, these kind of things will happen. Guys, problem lies with you only. I will never go and complain HRS because you why in the first place you're going and falling for this kind of a people.
Okay.
Go to their website, understand their profile. Talk to three people in the LinkedIn background for this company. If you do this research properly, according to the metrics what we kept in the sheet, how you will get to those kind of things, you will know before that. Hr, why are they hiring? Your mistake lies with your end only. I will never complain. Hr. Because out there shitty people are there. But it's your responsibility not to fall them. Fall on them, right? This is one use case we had last two days. Okay, there is another use case. I'll tell you, this is even more interesting. A lot of people are messaging you. They're asking you to do a payment. How many of you have received messages like that? Hey, if you wanted to go into a hiring process, you'll have to pay money. We'll have to pay every company when you go to their hiring process. A lot of people are typing yes to me personally. Okay, that's great. Fine. So what happens is they'll tell you like you pay 10k, will hire you to the next round. No company in the world will do that. Guys, if. If somebody is doing like that way complete, you have to be very aware. Scammer pish is typing 15k. See, apart from Pish, one more person has reached out to me in this last two days. Because he's been trying for a lot of times. And they can see you are actively applying for the profile. But they wanted to take an advantage of you, okay? They wanted to get some work done by you. Or maybe they wanted some money from you guys. Why are you not very aware of this? It's been very simple, okay? Each and every stage I'm. I'm guiding you for interview process and other things, right? You should not understand. You should be very clear on understanding who is scammers and who is potential people. Ultimately it's your career. Don't waste time on these people and all one second, you should be able to understand whether this profile is there or not.
Okay?
If you find those people, just tell them. Give them a warning. If they still do it, block list them in LinkedIn. If five people block list them in LinkedIn, they'll be out of LinkedIn. They have to forget. And LinkedIn is very smart. Even when they try to log in with a different account or something, that IP address, they will track very easily. This person is a scammer.
Okay?
So technology is also helping. LinkedIn also wants to keep a very sacred people inside their community. Because they should not spoil the name of the LinkedIn.
Right?
They, their customers should not get affected because of that. So LinkedIn also has a very Strict policies and all. So try to use that carefully.
Okay?
Every of every people who are using LinkedIn they have an option to block, list or report them.
Okay?
You can even send a screenshot of the saying this company is not going to. This company is not a real company. They trying to fake the people by telling here and there, take a screenshot, send it to support at LinkedIn. Whatever that email, Send that screenshot, whatever you send us an email to that hr. Whoever has did that to you, they will not do that for other designers if you do that.
Okay?
Because ultimately in design community you're also helping one or the other way to get this. Okay, so let's see whoever is typed in the YouTube chat.
Okay?
Not. Not a lot of people have come in the YouTube chat. Hi guys. Maybe you guys are there inside this call. That's okay. Maybe if somebody is watching, it's okay, fine, no issue, fine guys. So this is what is the strategy which I'm telling you, okay? So research and personalize your approach. Use the LinkedIn effectively. Join some industry specific groups, reach them in an email in a cord reach manner and try to optimize your profile update with relevant keywords, open to work batch and all these things is very simple. We have discussed. Create a value proposition about whom you wanted to talk to and what is the value you wanted to give and ask a specific question. Always send thank yous. Congratulations. Thank you. Congratulations. People will open your message very fast if you send thank you and congratulation. This is one of the simple technique. Okay, that's great. So almost. We are coming to the final end of the session now. Affirmations before you network, use a positive affirmation to reduce anxiety. Some of the people will have a problem while talking to the people. I can see that. I can definitely see that. Why are you very skeptical to talking to the people is because you are not having that confidence.
Okay.
If you keep restricting yourself not talking with others. So when are you going to build your professional network? Ultimately that's very important, right? So use your affirmations which is there in your codex document. Personal codex first Codex.
Okay.
Try talking to the people. Hey, I'm going to build a very good network. Hey, I'm going to trust this person. Hey, this person. I'm going to help this person.
Okay?
Give lot of value and help for the others. Even before they ask you anything. Be always of a help for them. Even though if you're reaching for HRS and designers, try to always ask them. You need any help, you need any support Are you stuck? Maybe if they needed any kind of a support in design, you can also ask me. I'll also send out some materials or PDFs or anything and you can send it to them. Maybe that will be helpful for them. Or maybe if they are interested to contact me for quick clarification. Hey, my mentor can give you some free suggestion. Yeah, we do have paid program but he, he's. He can give you some free consultation. What is your mistakes you are facing? Would you like to talk to him? I'll give you. Yeah, you can do that. Yeah, we have that option, right? We do give free consultation and we do give this free YouTube calls. But internally also we can hire them. I mean hire the sense for our program. That's different. So that way also you can use that value system.
Okay.
And you can tell if you need any kind of a designer from, from. From our community, we can post that job vacancy. Can you send me a screenshot of the job description, the contact person? Yeah, we have around 50 to 60 people in our community who are actively looking for jobs. I'll help you. A lot of people will reach out to you. So they will be also very happy when you use that. Okay, so have that affirmations clear before you start talking to the people. Visualize and role play. See ideally when we have time we can do all those things, but it is not possible now. I. I used to make the students role play like a hr. Like, like designers. How we can talk, how we can generally. So try to use that on your friends at least. Maybe Mutu Srinivas Manigandan and Shantilal Pish ar. All of the people are very actively applied for the job.
Right.
So you guys can connect individual WhatsApp number is there. You can connect on a zoom call or a GMEAT and try to do role playing. You guys can take initiative. Don't expect I will come and help you. I will. I can give you some ideas but you guys can leverage the group. I've already told you, make only the intended communication talking to design, but talk to them. You can take advantage of the community. You can have a peer to peer practice. And once you both are what you call doing that, you'll see both will start getting results. Previously you may not get results, but after you do that buddy the peer to peer, you'll start getting results. Okay, this is a very important step and yeah, practical demonstration we can do, but definitely it takes a lot of time. Okay, so search and reach out to HR person, find HR email draft, impactful Emails, I can do that. But the thing is I've given enough materials more than sufficient earlier as a case studies and live sheen scaring and I've given you a lot of hooks and messages. You can use those things carefully according to your codex and then you can try it out. Okay, so I'll try to give an activity maybe today and tomorrow. Try to personalize this message only to the hr. Only hr. Okay. No designers. Maybe you can try that to only HR. Okay, let's say 50 hrs right? Targeting them. Try targeting them. Just give me a screenshot if you're reaching to 50 hrs.
Okay.
I'm telling you more than 20, 30 people will reply. You design hrs possibly.
Okay.
Email draft. Email with the value proposal. Yeah, this is. Okay, fine, you do it customized. But you can just send them a hi. You just build them a trust. You can ask them to try reaching with these people. You'll see magic happening. Okay. And I'll tell you some statistics as well. How do I put this? 85% of the job roles filled through networking. It's actually a statistics by LinkedIn. I'm telling you guys, people will trust you and once they trust, they'll give you referral. 85% of the jobs are filled with referral. That means the selection criteria for you through a referral is extremely high. You are fighting for the remaining 15% which is a very hard market. Don't do that.
Okay.
3X more likely to receive interview calls with active networking. No magic. I just told you how.
Okay.
What are the neuroscience insight behind it? Positive interaction. Release dopamine. Build motivation. Yeah. When you do it, when you start talking with people positively, when you make a very good connection. I felt that guys, because I'm doing LinkedIn connection with a lot of people, right? So I'm, I'm having that very, very positive interaction. A lot of people have told me. Thank you so much, Jagdish. You've given me a lot of points. Let me work on it. That's great. A lot of people have given me like thank you, thank you. So you get dopamine released and you get motivated and similar happened for their end as well.
Right.
So think about it. Tools and resources. What else I can tell you? I've given you all the tools. Okay. But on top of it, I'll give you one hack. You can use a tool called rocket reach.
Okay.
I mean note down the spelling Rocket reach. Find email address of the HR context. In fact in pageama HR also you can find it hr. You can Find it. But I would say Rocket Reach is really good.
Okay.
And you can try it out 954 output.
Fine.
So this will be super useful for you Slack UX communities and you can use. See these people will be very professional this discord group Slack. And then when you talk to this what you call there are a lot of WhatsApp communities also available. Try to talk to these people in that manner also so that you can find a lot of good trustworthy and then you can ask them their phone numbers, you can ask them their emails, you can ask them their like let's say personal LinkedIn account so that you can interact with them. RocketRich. Thank you Arvind. Arvind just posted the link. Utilize that. Okay, so and somebody can paste the 12 hooks and five curiosity hooks. That would be super helpful for our people as well. Would you do that? That would be great. Okay, so ideally when you do this methods guys, you'll see a lot of things happening at you. Okay, so we are coming to the end of this session. Why is this numbering going very, very differently? So I'm sorry guys, just a second. Okay, first you can, you can release one rating for me in the Trust Pilot. Guys, if you feel this podcast, podcast, this YouTube class is really good.
Okay.
And also links have come for the new webinar for the registration for the design verse and number two and three, we are having this workshop guys. Okay, we workshop notification will be sent to you but I would highly recommend you to register this link right now. Okay, I'm going to release the link right now but before that I wanted to give you this Trust Pilot link also. Okay, so people, whoever has taken the value from this class, if you feel like, okay Jagdish, this is really good. I've learned something extraordinary. Please go and review yourself in the Trust Pilot. Okay, don't just tell.
Good.
Let's type out what you have learned here because I've given you very, very powerful formulas and methods. Okay, thank you Arvind. Thank you so much.
Great.
You can refer to Aravind's screenshot as well. Okay, this is very important. Okay, so following this session, after you give a LinkedIn, after you give the transpilot review, we are going to the very important part of the session which is going to be the success story share of one of our student. Yes, I'll do the attendance.
Wait.
Okay, attendance comes last. So that student, okay, she has actually got results in our program but she's been getting a lot of interview calls from people. Okay. She has her own method to do it and she's going to help you demonstrate, learn how to do it in a very short way.
Okay?
So just try to understand her. She's going to share the screen and she's going to tell you some important techniques. Okay? Maybe I can also take notes in the mind map and show you what she's telling you. But she can ideally talk. That would be better because we are a very good presenters. If you are a UX designer. If you are a designer, you should know how to communicate yourself carefully.
Okay?
So that skill has to be grown in you. The reason why I'm giving a lot of people chance also is for you to first go and present and learn. See, last week was presenting. Nancy could not present for some reason. But ideally if that person comes in a video, talk with the people with lot of confidence, you are building your leadership skill. You're already becoming a leader. Because ideally, if you are becoming a product manager and a leader only you can elevate this game very faster.
Okay?
So this. Use that as a medium to also help out.
Okay?
So we are planning something very interesting guys after this November 2nd week which is called hive calls, okay? And it's, it can be, it can be very, very interesting. I'll tell you what is the specialty about hyp. After this person completes this special workshop, then I will tell you about the hive calls. Then I'll tell you what are the new things which we going to launch you next week. You are going to get it in your learning management portal, guys. Okay? You, you guys are already having that. The thing is right now preparation is going on. So once the design verse workshop is there at the end, I'll release you this, okay? So that you can have it as a nuggets and you can start learning it. I'll tell you about these things. And finally, yeah, we'll do the registration for the design verse also and you can also have one last opportunity. I'll tell you how we can able to bring your friends also inside. Okay, so this is the plan and then we'll go for the Q and A session. If you have a lot of doubts, you can able to answer Tuck, Tuck, Tuck. Very, very quickly. But okay, in the next 20 to 30 minutes we can cover all these things. Just be very care. Just be very focused here. We can do that. Okay, so the person who is going to come now is Sneha. Sneha, are you ready? Just give me two minutes, guys. Confirm me that you have typed out all your reviews in the LinkedIn. I mean the in the Trust pilot fast.
Okay?
And I'm also stopping the YouTube live. Whoever is watching the YouTube, let us ask maybe, if you guys are here. Okay, fine.
Okay.
Just, I'm. I'm meeting.
