Day 37- Compunding Effect for Designers- Hackathon 90 Days Challenge

Jagdish explains how the compounding effect applies to job searching and habit building for designers in a 90-day challenge. Small consistent actions compound over time, and automating your habits makes the difference between stalling and moving forward.
So we are going live and just a second, I'm just folding this notes. Excellent. Okay, so any doubts is there? Please guys, confirm me for the job search strategy. I mean it's, it's fairly given already. Like it's, it's not like I have not given you other topics or not. It's fairly given. And just a second, let me put this link also in the group so that other people can also come over there. Just a second, just a second. I've just pasted link for the people who are in the outside so that they can also watch.
Okay.
Just a second guys, one second.
It is there.
I think it's cool. Fine, guys.
Great.
Yes. So welcome guys. Welcome to this YouTube live and we are continuing the hackathon mission. Also in fact we have a very interesting topic going on which is a job search and strategy. Okay, just a second. Something else is happening here. Where am I? Okay, I'm sorry guys. Okay, so I'm just sharing the screen, guys. See guys, first of all I'll connect the dots. How, why I've created this compounding effect. See, ideally when you're starting from the mission, 1, 2, 3, you. You know, till the nine mission, right? So ultimately we are connecting to the end which is called a job search strategy. Okay, Nobody here is having a goal towards doing some research and design. Ideally, if you're doing some research and design, this program is not going to cater your requirement now. Okay, maybe in the future it can. But right out we don't have any provision. So ultimately your end objective should be getting the job. Simple. Anybody is not aligned. I mean, I mean, I don't think there is no people like that.
Okay?
Because ideally I've talked to each of you before you started this program. But your end objective should be to get some job with your interest and your values and goals and alignment.
Okay?
But I can see most of the people are getting stuck in this. I can see some of the people have got results, but they have come down. I can see some of the people are super distracted, getting lost, confused.
Everything okay?
In order to create an antidote for it, we have recently created something called compounding effect. How many of you know what is compounding effect? Could you type in the chat box first? I want to first understand from this room. Hey, thank you. Shavi. 601 you reminded. Thank you. Thank you. Gokul. I'm sorry, I just saw that. Okay, great. Yes. So can you type in the chat box? Guys, what is compounding effect according to you? It's fine. You can Able to google search and tell me type out in the one word. What do you think by compounding effect every day. Okay, every day. Doing every day is not exactly compounding but anyway it's a good try. Okay, no problem. Type out more consistently improving with what we have. Punish. Excellent. Mutu multiply. Mutu is somewhat closer. Okay, guys, think about it. I'm asking you very important question. Power of consistency. Yeah, a little bit.
Superb.
Day by day increasing certain amount of our effort in something that we wanted to do. That's great. Only six people are typing out guys. What about others? There are 14 people in this call. 13 people 1% better every day. You took somewhere else this statement. Okay, that's fine.
Great. Okay.
But anyway, I mean I can see that you are. You're ready. You're reading from many places. You're seeing these words.
So.
So this 1% is very, very important which people really talk about. Okay, we'll discuss about this. But I want everybody to type out what do you think by compounding effect Kumar Sai Faisal K. Chalvan has. Please type out. Guys, I want everybody to type out in the chat box before we get into this topic, okay? It is very important. Just a. Just a second. Just a second. Yeah. Come on guys. Please, please you. The. The more you type in the chat box, the better I'll be able to understand your current level of understanding towards compounding effect. With that I'll take it. It's not like I'm teaching you something. You will not be able to relate it then.
Okay?
And I need everybody to take notes. Guys, this is very, very, very, very important. You cannot get it easily in one go. I'm telling you for sure this is not going to go inside you in one go. I can give you in writing, okay? It takes a lot of time. It may seem very easy. But it's very difficult to follow people who are not getting results. I'm telling you this is the only last antidote for you. You cannot ask me Jagdish, give me any magic bullet putting which I can able to improve my career 10x no. This is the only last step for you.
Okay?
People who ideally worked in the 42 day journey in the job search in the Hackathon mission. Everybody, I'm telling you this is the only magic bullet I can able to give you at the last. If you're not utilizing this, there is nobody in the universe who can able to save you. But this is a tested, well proven method which I've learned from some of my best mentors And I've seen some of the case studies. It's not about that. Also I have seen people who are getting huge results by applying this compounding effect. Ideally you can apply compounding effect to anything, guys. You can apply to financial management, you can apply to relationships, you can apply to anything. But when you applied for the design career in a right way, which I'm telling you, you will not fall from your design career ever. This is going to be a complete uphill. I am sure you will not come down. There is nothing called coming down and all if you follow whatever we are discussing here. Okay, so ideally let's see whoever is there type out of the chat box in the YouTube also guys, let's see whoever is there. Gokul. Thank you Gokul. Hi everybody. Okay, people are typing in the chat in YouTube. That would be great guys. Because people when they watch YouTube Live know the chat will pop up. So that becomes really interesting.
Okay, great, great.
No problem. Fine. So the objective why we are using this is showing students how small and consistent effort leads to significant career outcomes. See compounding effect. People talked about this 1%, right? But I'm going to tell you even more. Compounding effects emphasizes the importance of daily habits. See why we are having habits as a major priority in our program. You will understand today I don't believe in one day result. I don't believe in I. You got 12 LPA, 13 LPA. I mean, I mean I never appreciate these students until I unless see the fulfillment of you, I will not fully appreciate. And I. I gave a lot of students warning also bro, you got the job. It doesn't mean you are fulfilled. You're still lacking in certain things. You got the results.
That's okay.
But parallel prepare parallel strengthen this.
Okay?
Don't go into a happiest mode because ultimately you will come down and people have come down also after that what to do? Nature. Universe is universe.
Right?
I told you already. So efforts, whatever you put it, should be aligning to this compounding effect then and only your efforts will lead you to a greater massive results.
Okay?
And that is going to happen in a way of compounding effect which I'm going to tell you now. Okay, Very simple. First of all let's talk about this topic.
Okay?
I'll unfold all of these things so that you can know. Fine. So what are the core topic here? Compounding effect routines, habits formation and progress tracking and automation. See, I cannot do it manually right now. Level up is able to help me out. But from the number three Level up is going to be gone.
Okay?
So people who are very intensively working with me, we have a very, very higher level of program for these people. But difficult for me to provide that platform because level up is very difficult. But without even using level up or any other platform or exceljet or anything, you can track for yourself first, because this is an open public. I'm giving this right. So you should also know how you can able to do yourself first. The very first thing which you have to do if you wanted to keep your game honest. You'll have to write goals every single day. Bare minimum, you'll have to write goals every day. Because if you're not writing daily goals, write goals daily. If you're not using the goal setting formula daily, I'm telling you guys, you will not know where you're leading. End of the game. Nothing beyond this. I cannot tell you anything. How many of you are writing every single day goals? Could you raise your hands? A lot of our students are doing that. Can you raise your hands? Yeah. Shantilal, I can see Srinivas Faisal. These people are doing every single day goals. They know exactly what they want. Hasnain, every single day you have to write 10 goals. There is no shortcut in that.
Okay?
You are asking me for clarity. I'm. I'm disorganized. I'm misorganized. I'm super distracted. I'm not getting results. Please go and first write your goals every single day. There is no shortcut in that. You have to know exactly what you're looking for. Don't tell me I want design job. I'll. I'll. There is no point in talking design job at this point of time in our program, okay? You know, there are hundreds of things which you have to narrow down on what job, what specific information, where are you right now? What that is more, more more specifically given for you with this point of time. If you tell that you are looking for a job, then ideally that's not really good. You have to tell me what exact job you're looking for and what pain point you're stuck and what is the required thing for you. Your daily goals will determine that. That's the only way to bring the clarity of you. Okay, so understanding the compounding effect, first of all, I'll give you one example, guys. There is a book called Atomic Habits. How many of you have read that book? Okay, you don't have to really ideally read that book. I'll tell you what's. Okay, that's great, Shantilal. Money and has read. The point here is habits is actually a psychological thing. Initially for one or two days if you follow certain things. Okay, I told you. Find the industries, list down them in the excel sheet. Start researching, start networking with the people. Pitch them the value. Get on a phone call, interview, close them.
Okay.
Get offer letter. Get into the industry. This is a very big cycle.
Okay.
Ideally it will take a fresher 90 days to learn this process first. Okay, maybe for some people it may go a little higher also. Some people get it a little faster also no problem. But ideally when you do a job camping strategy again it will not take 90 days. If you have understood very carefully, it will take only 30 to 45 days if you do it again.
Okay.
People who are ideally doing it again, like let's say people like Surendra are doing it again. I'm telling you, you don't need huge time now. Even though you're starting a new job camping strategy, it will be just a matter of 30 to 40 days or even lesser. Imagine when you start the job camping again again, if you find out 10 to 15 industries and working with me for the third time, you will see you just need one week, five working days or max to max seven days to see the clarity coming in you. Because you. You're already. Your basics are sorted. What happened exactly to the first time and this third time? Can somebody tell me what happened? Don't tell me compounding effect here. That's cliche. Okay, tell me what happened exactly compared to the first time and third time. Why the time has become very. Ideally if you chat in the YouTube also. It will be fine guys. But anyway, I'm reading it. Practice. That's great. Punish small choices. Consistency, time. Significant results. Small investment to larger profit. Putting into small actions every single day. Growth 1% better. Okay, so people are getting the answers. But I will tell you what happened.
Really.
There is something called neural patterns inside our brain.
Okay?
Our brain is always lazy. How many of you don't know this? Our brain will always try to find the shortest path. Okay, I will tell you how that rewiring happens.
Okay?
Ideally see there is a book called Habits. I mean atomic habits that like Habits is a father of that book. Okay, that's very deep. I mean it's like more than 400 pages is there in that book. You will take at least one and a half months to reach that. Okay, James, Clear. Atomic habits and all. Now it came.
Okay.
This is like a master blaster. In fact, this book is the ideal inspiration for anybody who learns Habit okay, this is by Carl Duhi. Psychology of everything. What we are using. How many of you know why we are using this toothbrush every single day? How many of you have wondered why we are using perfume every single day? How many of you ever wondered we have the toilet cleaner smell coming every single day. All these things are habits. All these things people have made you as a habit to. To become a part of you.
Okay?
This book was written 30 years before. It is still relevant now and it will be still relevant after 100 years. So this is an epic book. Guys, please go and order it.
Okay?
The book name is Habit and you can read that Atomic Habits also. It's fine, guys. It may seem very fancy to read that. It becomes very fancy now. But this is the ultimate thing. Okay, so this guy has said something very interesting. Listen to me. Okay, listen to me. Listen to me very carefully. So he said, like let's say if you learn driving, or maybe if you learn art of making portfolio, or maybe if you learn the art of creating a resume or whatever, a job search process or everything initially, what happens when you drive? You'll see that problem in managing clutch and accelerator and putting the gear and everything.
Right?
Guys, please switch on your camera. I wanted to see your face. I mean, or else it's no fun for me to teach, okay? I mean, ideally it feels like I'm talking to myself. I don't want that. Okay, so come into the front of the camera and just show me the intention. If I'm asking something, answer, nod so that it. It becomes interactive for me.
Okay?
Great. Because it's not a live session. It's a. It's a. It's a live, in the sense physical life. I'm just saying it's a. It's a virtual session. Okay? So just be active. So ideally, when you're driving, what happens when you're learning for the first time? Please type out of the chat. What are the difficulties you will face? See, you have to understand the importance of this compounding effect. Ideally, if you get from this example, you will get it.
Okay?
Yes. Type out in the chat. Guys, when you are learning, what difficulties you will face? Bike, learning, car, anything. Could you type in the chat box what difficulties? One difficulties you type. That would be better.
Okay.
Don't write sentences, just one word. Don't know how to handle the situation. Okay. Something happens, you don't know how to do it. Somebody comes in front, what to do? Press brake, accelerator, clutch. People get that thing nervous. Unable to take idea of padding.
Okay.
Yeah. Something like that you get some kind of a nervousness. But ideally what happens initially when you do our brain try to find out a different different pattern to respond when some situation comes.
Okay.
If a speed breaker comes, you will have to put a brake, clutch and then gear neutral. And then completely risk the vehicle. Or maybe you put on a first gear and then you move slowly. That's a pattern. That's the answer.
Okay.
But initially what happens consciously? You will have some time to think about it. Your brain will be active. Second time when you're doing it, what happens is our brain patterns are already touched inside the the neurons.
Okay?
It becomes little faster for the chemicals to transfer the information. Ideally, chemical transfer is happening inside our brain.
Okay.
Third time when you do it, it will be much faster. Fourth time when you will do it even more faster. 5, 6, 7, 8. Until you make it at least 100, 200, 500 times. What happens is you don't have to put your conscious effort to even think. When a speed baker comes automatically, your left hand will go, right hand will go, your leg will go and then you will come. Sometimes you don't have to look at it consciously. Even when you're hindsight. You know what is mean by hindsight. Hindsight is like looking at sight.
Okay?
You will know what is coming there, what is coming here. And you will break the vehicle. How many of you have observed it while they are driving car and two two wheelers or anything? Ideally if you're doing two wheeler, you will know the clutch management is little difficult. In car also it's easy. But two wheeler clutch management is really difficult. How many of you felt that type out of the chat? Yes. Kumar Sai Suender, Manigandan, Shantilal, Hasnain, Shavi. Yes.
Okay.
So what really happened is you have literally tricked your brain. Very simple.
Okay.
How did you trick your brain? By consistently giving the information in a linear pattern.
Okay.
You're not changing the pattern. Okay. Some situation comes. If you give different different command to your brain, what will happen? It will not learn. First of all. See, you cannot learn by putting some injection inside your brain. You have to learn it only by physically watching, doing, practicing. That is the only best way to learn. You cannot read about driving and go, go and do a driving. That's not possible. Same like in design. You cannot read everything in a theory and go and do a design. That's not possible. You will have to do it. Make mistakes, get reflection, get corrections and then do it again. And then do it again, again and again and again. So what happens Is your brain will form a pattern, okay? This is the first thing. Second, once your brain forms a pattern, what will happen is your brain will not consume much of the efforts and energy when it has to do for the other time. So your entire energy and focus will be on something else. But automatically that will happen. That is actually called shortcut, okay? According to your brain, okay? Third time, fourth time. When you do more than 300 to 400 times, you don't have to consciously do anything automatically. It happens, you see? Now when you're driving, you'll see, you'll be playing music, you'll be drinking water, you'll be talking to your friend, you'll be talking in Bluetooth, you'll do all multiple sort of things while you're driving. Because this becomes automatic.
How?
Because that neural connection is very strong now inside your brain. That neural connection becomes so strong where you don't have to even react or respond or anything, it automatically happens. So this will happen only when you give a consistent signal for your brain with the right instruction. Please understand this. Only when you give a consistent signal for your brain with the right instruction. Imagine if some pilot is there, aircraft pilot, okay? He's very well in driving the plate from end to end. And he is extremely good at it. He knows the control, everything.
Okay?
If you ideally give him. He doesn't know how to ride a bike. But when you give him the activity to learn the bike, do you think he can able to learn it fast? Type out of the chat. Do you think he can able to learn it fast? What will happen if he comes and drives here? Yes, sir.
How?
You tell me, you tell me how, how you can learn it fast? Tell me, ah, if it's not type. No, it's fine. I mean, you type whatever you want. Guys, let me help you understand how it is very difficult for him to learn. The answer is actually difficult for him to learn. The reason being his brain is already tuned towards certain response factors, okay? Certain responsible things. And this when, when this kind of a collision comes, how to avoid that, how to manage the interface and accordingly the plight. But when he is learning the bike or maybe the what you call a car or anything, he has to learn new patterns. It will take some time maybe. Typically you may have some time to learn. Maybe he can adopt little faster, but he has to ideally learn because a new pattern has to form in your brain. Second time, maybe he will do little better. Third time, he will do little better. Fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, nine. The more practice he makes automatically that strong pattern Comes inside and it will do. This is exactly called habit forming habits.
Okay.
You are actually taking a habit and then you are forming a habit. For that very simple.
Okay.
Once you form the habit of like let's say job search process or maybe portfolio or maybe any networking or maybe anything, whatever you feel as a very relevant skill for you. Once you start reprogramming yourself, at least for 30 days.
Okay?
30 is a very good number. For anything to happen as a habit, you'll have to at least practice for 30 days. But according to me, if you do it for more than 67 days, like let's say more than one mandala, that becomes a strong habit for you. If you do it for 90 days, that becomes super super thick habit pattern. I call it like a bed sheet. You can't remove bed sheet, right? You can remove the thread. Because thread is very loose initially. That's how your habit will be.
Okay?
One day you'll listen to stranger secret. Another day you'll write goals. That day you'll tell me I am busy Jagdish. I can't do this. Okay? That is called loose habit patterns. But when you write it consistently by telling yourself no, when I wake up I have to write goals. 5 minutes listen to stranger secret. 20 minutes. Then go for the write gratitude. Go for the day. Yeah. At least you choose three habits. When you consistently tune yourself to do it in everyday morning. What happens after 22nd day or 30th day? Even when you're sitting in any place in the world, even if you're doing something very different, you still have that alarm coming in your mind. Your brain will automatically signal you'll have to do it. So what happens when you apply habit forcefully to certain things like goal setting. Like let's say gratitude. Like let's say stranger secret. You're force fitting it, right? Ideally you're mean. There is. There is no interest for everybody to do this including me. Goals is a boring subject. Gratitude is a boring subject.
Okay.
Writing, writing, grat. One idea per every the 7 Habits is a boring subject. Guys, to be very honest, okay. It's not interesting. Don't think it's very interesting and all. Okay, it's definitely boring. But why we are doing that? Why? On top of it we are having it as a seven habits of highly effective designer. The reason being you will have to force fit it inside your brain. And then what happens? Your brain will exactly know when you wake up in the morning, what is your 1 goal? Your brain will exactly know what is going to happen. Your Brain will exactly be tuned when you listen to stranger secret and your brain will be already super ready. People ideally will take two to three hours for them to get activated. In a day guys to become super active. But in our program, five minutes is enough for you to fire your brains. Ideally when you write goals, it will happen. Try that people are brand new. Try that people already doing it. They'll know in five minutes you'll become active. It's like what you call somebody has put something in you and you'll be like super active. Because we are driven by goals. Every organism in this entire world is being driven by coals. Maybe people who don't know this, they are just living just like that. People who know this, they exactly how to operate it. That is why we have taken habits and compounding effect to put it on our every single day habit. Because if you do that as a habit only you will be able to improve your game better. If you're not, then you will lose that habit. It's a waste of time, waste of effort. You will not be able to get any results.
Okay?
So that is why you will have to choose the right things and force with this habit. Once you consistently do the habit again and again and again, I will tell you there is a beautiful effect which will happen which is called compounding effect. Like let's say I told you first example. I'll connect now.
Okay.
90 days. Initially it took for you to get job or maybe to find a very good networking opportunity. Next time when you start, it becomes 30 to 40 pages. Next time when you start it becomes one week. Next time when you start it become it will become very very less. In one day itself you can able to generate one or two job offers. One or two interview calls at least. Let's talk about interview calls.
Okay?
In three to four days you'll be getting one job offer. Because you short circuited everything in your brain. The moment when you looked at the company, the moment when you see their website, portal, gap industry, you will know what project is fit. You will know this company is not suitable. Let's go for the next company. You will know exactly patterns to find out which company is suitable. You will know exactly what projects to showcase. You know exactly how to talk with people. You know exactly how to get a reply in LinkedIn. You know exactly how to pitch your projects and get on a physical interview call or virtual call or anything. You know exactly how to ask them questions.
Okay.
See, questioning is very important. I told you. You can apply this habits to even questions. How to ask questions consistently. Practice, practice, practice, practice. Until it locks as a habit pattern for you. The moment when you see the hr, you'll know what to ask. Simple. So consciously. We are not superhuman beings to keep everything in our mind. Guys, we have something called primary memory and secondary memory.
Okay?
When you do it as a habit or a compounding effect, everything will go into your secondary memory. And then that becomes like let's say super, super intuitive automatic for you. But when you keep it in a primary memory, maybe today you'll remember this topic, but tomorrow you'll ask me. Oh, Jagdish. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You taught me something called habits, right? What is that? Oh, I forgot here. You said one cycle example and all that's. That's how it will be. That's a primary memory you'll forget after two, three days, okay? But when you take action, when you really fire your neurons inside by choosing the right habits every single day for 30 days, you will never forget that habit. Guys, I'm sure provided if you do it for 90 days, I'm telling you, nobody needs to push you to do anything. You'll be automatically driven. You will not have any distraction in your career. You will have a super, super, super clarity which nobody will be able to ever see. That you will automatically wake up. You'll do your activities, you'll apply for the job. You'll get results. Even after you get results, you will know what exactly to move for the next company. In three to six months to one year, you will see 10 times. You have grown from zero to now already. If you're getting 6 LPA, you would have got at least 20 to 25 LPA in one year. I'm telling you, one year. One year. Please dedicate to this process, okay? 90 days is enough to get a good job. If you're taking more than 90 days, maybe you're not little consistent or somewhere you're lagging. That's okay. I will help you. Some people have got in 10 days also result. Some people have got three, two months also results. Don't have these numbers in your mind. Have only your activities in your mind.
Okay?
So once you get the good job, then you have to go for a stable job. Two, three offers. Once you're playing this game for the one year without any kind of a disturbance and distraction, your entire generation is set for you guys. You will not have any problem for your money. You will not have any problem for your job. You will know exactly how to run this job campaign. Nobody needs to teach you now how to drive a car, right?
Right. Why?
You know that, okay? Nobody needs to teach you how to ride a bicycle. You know that even though some kind of a modification comes, still you will be able to adopt it. Because their basics is set same like that. When you apply this nine missions and practice it again and again and again for the job camping strategy you will see every single day. If you want, you can generate the offer every two days or three days. Once you can able to generate interview calls every single day, you will be able to crack at least one or two interviews. So you will. You will be having like let's say, okay, now I feel this job is getting saturated for me. In three months, let me start the camping again. In two, three days you will be able to get the job. I'm telling you that is the power of compounding effect. Because already the basics is set, your brain is tuned, your habits is formed. You just have to start it again and automatically your brain patterns will form and you will do it if you want to build a portfolio. Jagdish, I don't know how to build a portfolio, but ideally when you come to me in. In the Codex document itself, we have also given a statements for how we can build a portfolio. How we can put hook, pain point, solution and pitch with the people. Okay, that's the basic thing of a portfolio. But if you wanted a detailed portfolio structure, you can go and watch our courses called physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics of portfolio. It's a very detailed case study we have taken. You can able to create that. Once you create that project in that structure, it's a robust, foolproof, bulletproof case study. Nobody needs to go beyond this. That's a one stop for everybody as a portfolio making course.
Okay.
Ideally when you do it for the first time, it takes time. Second time, little easy, third time, much easy, fourth time, fifth time, sixth time, it becomes automatic. If you wanted to do a project documentation, you have the idea and everything, take that structure, put it. In fact, I'm going to give you automation Codex also after this number two and three.
Okay?
There is something called automation Codex. If you wanted to do any sort of an automation in your career in design, I'm going to give you some magical prompts.
Okay?
You just have to copy, paste from there and automatically that gets automated. If you wanted a physics, chemistry, biology of your projects and case study, you will have to use that prompt and automatically you will get that output.
Okay?
Don't worry, I'll give you for the people who are already having some clarity, not for the People who are starting brand new, that will become a shortcut for you. You will not learn the process, okay? You will not learn the brain patterns. You will directly start tricking. And when some adverse situation comes, you'll short circuit, you'll go into a depression. You'll go into a mode of like, let's say, oh, I'm not fit for this. Okay, so don't do it in a premature way. I'll give you that.
Okay?
So once if you're able to do this, what happens is next time it'll be very, very easy. And then you see, after month, after two months, after three months, job search becomes automatic for you. Ideally, if you are a design for change student, if you're a successful graduate here, every two weeks you should get at least two offers. Note this point down. Every two weeks, if you are getting two offers, you don't need jagdish support. You're on your own.
Simple.
If you're not getting that, you still needed my support somewhere you're lacking, you're not locked your habits, you're not found out. The impact of compounding effect, you're not doing the right things. Maybe you're super distracted. You have to come to me, talk to me, get on a call, talk to our community members, whoever is active in that. Because everybody has a different phase. Guys. There are some people who are learning basics in our program. There are some people who are learning codex, hackathon, all these things. There are some people who are applying job. There are people who got already results. We have a lot of people in our community. Last week also Sneha came and took a session for how she got the job, how she's getting interview calls. And also we have people with every stage. So you come to me, I'll keep an accountability for you and I'll also personally follow it up. People who are in the job search support program, I have access to talk to you in a very personal level. So utilize that so these kind of benefits is already there for you. And then I will make sure you are reaching that level. Because initially this will seem very boring, guys. Very, very boring topic. Compounding effect, habits, goals. Very, very boring. Don't think it's very interesting. But I will tell you guys, once you learn and master this, okay, you will see the effects coming. You will see the results magically coming. You'll be just sitting in the office and people will call you. Surinder, we have hired you. Can you come for the interview? How much you're getting now? 13 LPA. We can offer you 16 LPSE. You did not do anything. Results came.
Okay?
You did not do anything. What you're doing, you're just consciously working in office. You're just getting a call because all the backend work you did, you did the pitch to the right people, you did the work with the right people, you put the right projects, you found the right gap, you found the industry that becomes so automatic. So results will come only when you set the basics properly. Your entire career goes in automation when you use the strategy for carefully. And even when you stop guys, you cannot stop this game automatically. People will start seeing results because ideally in this week I'm going to launch a very special course for you people who are in the job Special. It's a. It's a free of cost for you guys. It's coming for you. It's called branding for the designers. You will know how to brand yourself as a designer. You will know how to create some kind of a small, small content inside your Learning, inside your LinkedIn platform Social media presence. You have to create in order to attract lot more people. And, and I'll also tell you how we can able to schedule content for the next two months using the power of ChatGPT. Okay, you don't have to do anything automatically. The content will get go and posted for the topic, whatever you're interested your design topic. And the moment when you publish certain content in LinkedIn and start interacting with people, you will see compounding effect a real benefit. See, ideally Spotify is there in 40 countries for our design for change. Okay, I did not do consciously anything. I just have to promote whenever I'm doing it. Many of my podcast has been automated and it's been put in schedule mode. So that means it will deliver to the participant at the right time when they needed it for a different, different country timings. I'm not doing it consciously because I've leveraged the power of automation. Now I don't have to do anything. Lots of students are coming for my program because of podcast Jagdish. I've listened to your podcast, it was good. I'm interested. I want to join your program. See, I'm not doing anything consciously, right? So these people coming and asking me, I'm telling about the program, they're joining people who are not interested, they can come and attend my free program. That's it. So I'm just giving you a small example, but in your job search process, imagine if you're doing the right things, which I'm going to tell you and which is already there for you. Clearly most of the things get automated. And when you stop it also you will still receive interview calls. Surender, we applied. You applied in the last two weeks before in our portal, right? We saw your application. You are hired. We just wanted to give you a design task. You ask him.
Okay.
What is your company role going to offer me?
Okay.
Who's the CEO there? I've already researched your company. I want to know what the design value you're having. We don't have design teams right now. But we're looking for some team to be set up. Okay, I'll get back to you. Ma'. Am. Thank you so much. You reject the call because you know how to filter it. Also ideally, design team is not there. Some value is not there. What will you do? Maybe if you have the strategy to go and work as a designer in that company, as a first designer, that's a different thing. So you will know exactly automatically what to do, how to reject, how to accept, how to move for the next next next phases. And there is no shortcut. Guys. You have to learn it. When you learn it, only you will be mastering this art. When you put your career in this automatic mode. Even if you stop, guys, I'm telling you again, interview calls will not stop. People will just like that call you. People will just like that give you task. People will just like that ask you for come and attend this, this, this. And you will not have time to attend all of this interview to get cracked. That is the power of compounding effect. But when you do the right habits, the right things again and again, if you give the wrong instruction, you will not reach to automation mode. Imagine if you are doing the wrong things while you're driving, car and cycle or anything. That habit pattern will not form inside you. You will not get results. You will not get the ideal goal. What you achieve either. You want to go and ride a bicycle, right? That goal will not achieve. You will just fall somewhere, hit somebody and you will bring another problem, right? Ideally your goal should be very clear. Then and only you will have to have a clarity in your habits and move forward. When you do that, I'm telling you guys, you will have excellent clarity in your career and you have to do it. So there is another question also. People ask me, Jagdish, how long should I practice this compounding effect? How many of you wanted to ask this question? Please ask in the chat box. Yes. Type out yes. If you wanted to ask this question, Jagdish, how. How long should I practice this compounding effect. Till when I have to practice this compounding effect. Type out in the chat. Let's understand from this audience.
Okay.
One person is asking what about the others? Guys, you guys are sleeping. I want everybody to chat in the chat box. Guys, please go ahead. I want everybody to type in the chat box.
Okay.
Okay. A lot of people are typing. Yes, yes, yes. Due to then have experience make better myself. Good morning. Okay. Thank you. Anju, a person has joined in YouTube live. That's great. Okay, so yes, yes, yes. We try till it's automated. Okay. Shantilal is little closer. No, Shantilal. The answer is still not fully correct. Can you tell me till when you have to practice this automation? Till when you have to practice this compounding effect? Can. Can anybody tell me what is the right answer for it? Till when you have to practice this automation? Type out in the chat. I wanted to see how you guys are taking this forward.
Okay.
I wanted to really understand this. Come on guys, go ahead. No, if I'm not getting any chat reply, I'm not moving forward. Because it's not like I'm. I'm teaching, teaching, teaching. You have to resonate with what we are discussing.
Okay.
Just a second. Come on guys. Until we reach our wanted outcome. Okay, little close. I will tell you guys. Till when you have to do it. When you accomplish a certain goal. Not certain goal. You have to accomplish it until it becomes automatic nature of you. Simple. What is your nature? Your nature is to talk like this. Or maybe your nature is to respond to a particular situation. People call it, right? Hey, he's a very ill natured person. Hey, his nature is like that. What to do? So people call yourself as a nature, right? They have. There is some characteristic which you have. People around you will tell what is your nature? Go and ask your mom, dad, friends. They'll tell you what's your nature.
Okay.
So this habit has to go inside you until it becomes a second nature for you. Don't tell that till job I will get. I'll do it then. What happens if you lose job?
Okay.
Ideally, if you find a very fair exchange sustainable job, it's good. But habits and consistency and compounding effect is very, very useful for you till the end of your life, guys. So you will have to practice it until you become second nature of you. And what is the measure to do it? Every two weeks you will get two offers. That's a measure you can have. Okay, maybe you can have that as a measure. If that is happening then you mastered this art. Then you mastered this technique, right? And then you don't need anybody's support. You will know when you need a new job. You will be able to do okay, like let's say if you're getting 15 LPA, it's not enough for you. Or maybe your design thirst is still not enough. You wanted to create some kind of a national wide design and it has to be used by thousands of people. Let me go and work for a big organization where the impact is more. Let me go and work in Razorpay. Let's say if you're a financial guy, if you wanted to go fintech companies, can I go and work in bitcoin? Can I go and work in some kind of a crypto based industries? Can I go and work for some kind of AI based industries where the impact is very high? You will start the process in next one week you'll be getting one offer. Next two weeks you'll be getting two offers. That becomes so automatic. I'll tell you guys, if you're not mastering it now, like let's say if you're starting this job camping strategy again, it will take another 90 days for you. It will take 90 days guys. Sometimes even it will go more. I've seen people who have lost this track, not mastering this art, not mastering this last mission which is compounding effect, who have forgot this. Let's say they got one job, four lpa, six lpa, you got it. And then you are in honeymoon period. You are just going here and there. I'll tell you what happens, okay? When you search for the job again, you will feel so much overwhelming. Oh, I have to put all these things in portfolio. Oh, I have to go and talk with a lot of people. Oh, I have to pitch with a lot of people. Oh, how many people are going to give me job again? If people will tell you no, we can offer you only 4 LP, same salary, they'll come and tell you no, we can offer you only 30% hike. No, you are rejected. No, your values is not so you will get all sorts of rejections again. You get all sorts of objection handling again. You will go through this entire 90 days, guys. That is why I'm telling you. You guys have caught it, complete it until it becomes a second nature for you. If you stop it, you have to allow yourself to practice it from the beginning. There is no shortcut for it. That is why I told you it is a very, very, very delicate game to play. It is not a joke guys. Whatever. I told you it's not a Joke. I'll tell you an example. How many of you know Sachin Tendulkar's coach?
Okay.
I think for some people know the story. But anyway I'll tell it again.
Okay?
I like it whenever he tells this again. Okay. How many of you know Sachin Tedlka's coach? Who is Sachin Tendril coach? Tell me. Come on guys, fast. We don't have time. Sir. It doesn't matter. Sir. Who's Sachin? Okay, so what Sachin coach used to tell us practice every single day. Simple. You used to tell that.
Okay.
He told the techniques. He told to practice, practice, practice. All these things is fine. But he told every single day has to practice.
Okay.
You will not believe. Whenever Sachin goes to any hotel. Whenever Sachin travels anywhere. Whenever Sachin goes to any country for different matches you will see in his room he will put the socks. Okay. When he is in ground, he'll play that.
Okay?
How many of you have seen Sachin's cover drive shot? You know what is win big cover drive. When you ideally stand near the stems, when you hit the ball the ball will go exactly straight opposite to your. What you call the umpire.
Okay.
The referee, whatever. Okay. So when you're. When you're having this stamp opposite to you you can't hit the ball directly to the. Have you seen any fielder standing over there? Nobody will stand there. Fielder will stand on the left side or right side. Ideally the center will be gap. Why? Because it's very difficult to play that shot. Nobody will hit that. Unless until somebody is very mastered they will hit it.
Okay?
So what happens is fielding will not be there at that time. So Sachin is actually good at playing cover drive. And it took a lot of time for the Sachin to master it. I'll tell you how he mastered it.
Okay?
So whenever he's practicing he used to practice cover driving. The ground. Ground, ground.
Okay.
If he's not in the ground, if he's there like let's say for some reason he's not able to practice that shot. What he does is he takes his socks. Socks. And then he puts the car ball inside that socks. And then he hangs it.
Okay?
In the five star hotel. I'm telling you it happened. People have seen that. That's the reason I'm telling you. He'll hang it.
Okay.
He will have his bat. He'll pay cover drive. He'll pay cover drive. Again. Again. Again.
Okay.
And you can see from the Sachin's room there'll be a ball hanging. And then he'll be playing that. People have watched it and people have told that, okay, nobody knows this. But the thing is he used to practice it, okay, again, again. Whenever he finds time, at least in a day, he will do it once. Guys, you know what, you know what is the compounding effect for this? Sachin has been called the God of cricket and mainly because of that covered rest shot and it does not come in one day.
Okay?
Don't think your job search process is a temporary process where you can able to get one job and run away. This is a game which you have to play until it becomes a second nature for you. And you will love it. Guys, once you start playing, you will love it. You will not feel frustrated or you will not feel agitated, okay? See, Australians are the best players in the world in cricket. Indians are not best to be very honest, okay? They know better cricketing than us. So what Australian people like, let's say Steve walk, mark walk and particularly this guy or that there is a guy called, he's a very good Austrian cricketer.
Okay?
Like same like Steve Oxy walk is like same like we have Sachin, he's for the Australian team.
Okay?
Shane Wan. Yes, Shane 1. This guy is amazing. Yeah, Warner is fine, but Shane Wan.
Is a guy, okay?
So he says when Sachin plays cover drive, you can put a straight line there.
Okay?
Opposite rivalry player is saying this as an appreciation for your team. Imagine how much he has impacted. No matter whatever spin he makes, no matter whatever pace, speed the ball goes, Sachin will make it cover drive very easily and the ball will go exactly straight. And people will tell when Sachin plays cover drive, you just have to draw the line there because the line will be so straight you can just draw a line in Sachin's cover drive. And that happened after so long time, guys. And that is only because of compounding effect. That is only because of consistent habit pattern formation. If you really wanted to become a damn good at anything what you're doing, you have to become like a Sachin. If you wanted to become substandard, do substandard things, get distracted with Instagram reels, YouTube reels, just don't spend much time, just be inconsistent. Jumping here and there, watching some course over there, watching some mentorship program for 5, 10 days and then going and watching some random workshop. So watching some YouTube videos live here and there, get distracted, don't focus. You will get results accordingly. But when you're super laser focused on what you wanted to improve and then if you're doing it again and again and Again, I'm telling you this is boring guys. Do you think people in the five star hotel who are staying there, it's good to practice this ball. You can enjoy the ambience, you can have a food, you can have a, what you call vacation and all these things, right? But look at him, what he's doing. That is why he is called the God of cricketing. Okay, I just told you an example of compounding effect. If you are mastering this job search process, doing things again and again in this right manner, whatever I told you, you will not have any problem in your life again guys, for the job, for the, for the money, for anything, I'm telling you, you will not have any, any, any problem in your design career at all. And people who have attended this session today, you guys are damn lucky to get this word from me. Okay, type out lucky. I want to tell you, see guys, this is a very important topic. Don't think it's just a random. You guys are so lucky to have this word from me because out there in our program itself a lot of people have not attended this call. You know, 35 people have not attended this call. Only 15 people, 14 people are there in this call, right? So you guys are hearing from me because you are aiming for something and then universe has brought here in front of me to hear it from me. Now it's your action to follow it up until you get results. Okay, so that is ideally what I was trying to say. Okay, now you will get the clarity guys, I'll go a little faster so that you will understand clearer. Okay, so what is this compounding effect? Jagdish, I already gave you an example. Clarity, path and everything. But this is actually called habit formation. You'll have to track the progress and until it becomes automatic nature for you. Okay, so goals is one example. But ideally you can do for anything for job search and all. So understanding the compounding effect in your career, I will tell you guys, you can read this book, it's a very good book. Please read it.
Okay?
And you can read this James Clear atomic habits. Also you will understand how small, small effects make a lot of difference. I'll tell you guys, compounding effects will not show you results immediately. You will not see any results happening. See Muthu ideally is applying for the job, right? Muthu, you feel really happy when you're doing it. Are you seeing any kind of results happening? Ideally when you ask, no people will not see any results because compounding effect is very small. Warren Buffett, how many of you Know Warren Buffett. Warren Buffett is the richest man in the world. I think he has become more than seven or eight times. Okay, this guy said compounding effect is the eighth wonder of the world. How many of you don't know this? Albert Einstein said compounding effect is the eighth wonder of the world. Albert Einstein also said. Warren Buffett also said, why? Because certain things, if you do it repeatedly for certain time after that it automatically happens. Warren Buffett cannot stop earning money because he has set the income level and the financial status in that way, automatically crores and millions and billions of dollars is coming to his account. Even if he is not doing anything very simple. That is why he said compounding effect is eighth wonder. It's not a seven wonder, it's an eighth wonder. He's saying that means look at this guys. It's not a joke. That is the power of compounding effect. But it will be very boring. It will be very frustrating. It will not be easy. You guys will know it once you mastered it. And I'm telling you, once you mastered it, you will call and thank me. Whatever part you are in the world. You will see abundance coming into your life. That's one of our value also. You will see job, you will see money, you will see fame, you will see good health, you will see good relationship. You will see everything coming in you. Because you can apply this compounding effort for every damn thing in your life.
Okay?
That's why I told you. You guys are so lucky to hear it from me. Because it's not going to be available outside anywhere. I don't think so.
Okay.
Even if you have read it, you will not know how to implement it. Here I'm giving you the implementation plan and clarity also how you can able to do it.
Okay?
So daily weekly routines, how you can able to do see, find out the key challenges, key task. And then work as a day wise and week wise plan. And if you have doubts in choosing the habits, please come to me, I'll help you. Because for every people you will have some weak factor. For some people the weak factor is like let's say building portfolio. For some people the weak factor is job search. For some people the weak thing is learning design process. I can see many people are very weak in design process. So many people are very what you call have a weakness in ideation. So anywhere if your problem is there, fix onto that until it becomes a habit, you'll have to do it. Okay, so you know this Kaizen Toyota principle, right? I mean it's a Very interesting thing, but I'll not go deep. It's a very good thing. And a lot of people have followed this method because Toyota Kaizen has actually improved the quality over time. And right now Toyota is a benchmark of the industry. Same like we have electronics Apple.
Right.
So for car industry, Toyota is the number one benchmark. And they have achieved it only through the power of habits and consistency and compounding effect. It's not because of anything. Okay, so habit foundation, habits formation and consistency. First of all I will tell you, okay, See, already we have seen Google Sprint and also we have seen this, what you call that the housing app Airbnb. They have consistently worked on some kind of goals with the users from 2013-15 and they have built a very solid application. And then Airbnb become one of the greatest fastest growing company after 2015. 16 before that it was there, but it was not predominant. So Google Sprint Design Sprint is also something like that. They have consistently brought this. It's not like in one day they have evolved consistently. They have followed the process until it become second nature for them. Ideally, if you're working in a design studio, maybe your design studio is not following any design process. But if you are going there and then you're introducing a process that becomes a little new for them, but when you make it happen again and again and again, that becomes a second nature for them. Any problem statement comes that design studio will automatically react to work automatically and you will see results coming. That is the power of working inbuilt inside the design studio. When you follow some kind of a design process, like let's say if you wanted to use double diamond process or if you wanted to use some kind of a convergent divergent thinking methodology for your process. Implement anything. When you see again and again, when you do it second time, it becomes much easier. Third client, it becomes automatic. Fourth client, you will automate many of the things. Fifth client, in a one day you will deliver solution for him because you've already set everything that is called compounding effect. Okay? That is why many people, I tell them don't switch more than three jobs. Ideally you will find which is your interest and stick to that industry and keep working until you become CEO of that organization. I used to tell them, I mean, I used to tell them for the people who already got job, not for the precious. Okay, Precious means you'll have to ideally go for two or three or sometimes even you may have to go for four jobs. But when you get the grip, you will have to find Your dream job and you have to fix on it until you become the CEO of the company in design lead or maybe vice president of design. That is going to help you a lot. If you keep switching in the industries, even one year, one year, one year, what will happen? You will not be able to reap the benefit of compounding effect. It will not be a good choice for you initially you can do first one year. I suggest three jumps to happen if you're there with me starting from fresh. If you're not doing that, you're staying in your comfort zone. You're losing the track. I can't help you if you're ideally asking me. Three to six months, you have to switch for another job again. Three to six months, which third job you should be there after one year you will see your salary would have been skyrocketed. You would have been very clear what industry you wanted to work. And ultimately you will know how to play this game and then you will see the compounding effect coming into you.
Okay?
So that's the magic about it. Tracking your progress. See ideally people who are choosing a level up platform program, okay. They will have everything. Habit tracker for you.
Okay.
In fact if I wanted to show you like what is our habit tracker which we have inside. This is the ultimate game, what we have played so far. Okay, just a second. Guys, guys. People who have not marked the attendance kindly go and do it. I'm just sharing the screen with you.
Okay.
This is our habit tracker, guys. Okay, we have something like active 37 members are now applying for the jobs and they're working and playing for that. And when you take this last four weeks you can see how much people 23% habit has been completed and Faisal is stopping the board. That's excellent. Maniyandan goes to second. That's interesting. Muthu is third, Pish is fourth. So people are completing the tasks, people are taking up those challenges and everything. And on top of it there is something called habit. Can you see here? When you complete a habit you get 50 points. Guys, when you complete like let's say daily goal setting. When you mark it you get points here when you complete every day some form of a fitness. If you complete there is a points. When you complete focus. When you do lot of activities which has been listed here, not everything. Ideally whatever is your interest, if you click that you will be getting points for that. In fact I have created as a form of a point system so that when you do everything you get enough motivation to do it. Ideally you need this kind of a platform to have a track of you.
Okay.
Like let's say if you're applying for the job, I'll tell you what happens.
Okay.
See, Shanti Lal has got seven interview calls. Let me go and open Shanti Lal.
Okay.
How much people replied LinkedIn for the Shanti Lal? 2, 3, 4. Ideally if I want to show in a graph. Okay, look at this. How much people have replied in LinkedIn? Like let's say in this three people have replied. He has worked really good. This day only two people have replied. This day only two people. This day only two people. How many design tasks he has converted? No, nothing. How many interviews? No, some kind of error is happening so he has to work on his habit. Like let's say if we take Muthu, you can see his responses are good. If you can see here, Muthu is getting a lot of interview calls. That's great. Four interviews he got and how much people are replying. Almost every single day he's getting reply 5 replies. That means Muthu is in right track. He's getting that.
Okay.
And you can see how much design task received. Two design tasks. One. So if you can't track your habits and your activities, you're not leading anywhere. That is why we have this accountability system where this is very, very important. And on top of it in LevelUp you can also assign tasks for yourself.
Okay?
So take an advantage because this is the platform which we've been dreaming for a very, very long time and we have built it now.
Okay.
It's not for everybody. It's for the people who are very committed, very serious. You Jagdish. I'm super, super interested and I'm very excited and I wanted to have my habit tracked every single day And I'm focused that I wanted this job for those people only. Level up is going to be helpful for them for rest of the people. You don't mean you don't need that. Ideally you're not qualified for that level.
Okay.
And then once you become qualified I'll also tell you how you can able to get activated this level up for you.
Okay.
Initially I've given this for all of our students to just get the taste of it because you will have to know what we're doing it right. And a lot of people have given us feedback also how to improve this. Ultimately if I'm talking about gamification, habit compounding effect, I should have the system to cater that. Right? So now you have seen last year by this time we are dreaming about it. We don't have that system in place, but now it's there live in front of you.
Okay, great.
So continuous improvement through insight, habit tracking and yeah, there is something called notion AI and habitica. But ideally I would say you can play Leveler and how many of you don't know in this level up? Coming Saturday and Sunday, we are conducting a workshop and we are going to announce top five winners. You know how much these winners are going to get collectively close to one lakh rupees of prizes, guys. On top of it we are going to get some physical gift. Also in fact, for the people who have asked Apple headphones still I have not shipped them. But for the people who asked cash money, they can encash it. Also because for the people who have asked the earlier gift and all, they can encash it. Okay, and they can get this what you call Apple headset because ideally that is very important for your interview process and all. But this 1 lakh gift is something very different. I'll tell you what is that 1 lakh gift. And in this top five winners, whoever is playing on the that day last, the fifth winner is going to be chosen from that two days. The top four winners is from our people who are playing this game and ideally whoever has not registered. I'm putting the link in the chat box. Guys, please go and register for this Designverse workshop. Okay, I'm just pasting that link below. Please go and register if you have not did that because already seats are really, really filling fast and every single day people are coming out.
Okay?
Yes. So yeah, there are a lot of AI tools which is available for you and you can leverage in that. I would say ChatGPT is pretty much enough guys. Your Codex and your ChatGPT is more and more clear for you. You can able to do it. Okay, so how you can able to do it? Identify three habits, which is good for you. Don't choose 20 habits you're not going to do. You're not going to lead anywhere. Choose three habits, which is a key metrics for you. Start with that because if you do multiple things, you'll get overwhelmed. Ideally start with one if you're a brand new. If you are my student already working, choose three. That's enough.
Okay.
Set weekly goals for that. Set a personal growth tracker for that and then put it as a, what you call in level up. Ideally I would say level up because it's our platform, right? Instead of having this notion and a level up is actually having a lot of clarity because Inside level up you, you have this assignments, you have this challenges. On top of it you have a habit tracker. Everything is there in level up. It's all completely gamified inside for you. So you can get points also for that. Because ideally when you're consistently having the habit tracked, if you get points for that, that will become a true dopamine hit for you. Because we have to sometimes trick our brain by playing some rewards. When you do that automatically it becomes a second nature for you.
Okay?
Yes guys. So your implementation is very simple. Go and choose three habits and establish a daily weekly routine and show it to me in the OneToOne call and have it tracked. Saying is very easy. I, I told you that. But implementing is very, very, very difficult. Okay, so I'll give you the activity for this.
Okay.
I'll give you the activity for you weekly implementation call.
Okay?
So first.
Good.
So first is establish. First is identify a three habit.
Okay?
That's the very, very first thing which you have to do. Then identify three key habits.
Okay?
Third is try to, try to get on a one to one call with me. I'll review that habit for you.
Okay?
Don't choose prematurely. If you're not choosing the right habit, it's a waste of time.
Okay.
And practice it 31 days.
Okay?
Track and progress six this until it locks.
Okay?
I'm going to keep a challenge for you guys, okay? It will be activated today or tomorrow and that challenge will end on Friday evening.
Okay.
Because it's a very short challenge. So choose one habit, get on a one to one call with me and then close this.
Okay?
And I'll Ideally people who are completing this challenge, they have to upload the proof what habit you guys have taken and put it in the level up and then that proof will come to me.
