Day 96- Aesthetics - Friday for Figma 100 Days 100 Skill Booster Sessions

Jagdish P and Kanda Sam walk through design principles like symmetry and balance, then show how to use Figma's auto layout, smart selection, and boolean operations to build faster. Part of a 100-day skill series.
Okay, fine.
So I'm just sharing the screen, okay? And we'll cover one topic, guys. Okay, which is left yesterday, because yesterday I felt it was too much. If everything is covered in one day, there is one or two topics slightly left. We'll cover that and then we'll go into five interesting things of Figma. Okay, so I've said on Friday we can see few options in Figma which can also improve your productivity over the time.
Right?
So which should also be very helpful for you guys to increase your time. Like let's say maybe your. I mean, sorry, decrease your time, your productivity can become higher, you can operate in better version, right? So that's the objective behind it. Just a second, just a second.
Okay, hold on. Where is this? Where am I? One second, guys. Okay.
Just give me one second.
Yeah.
Okay, so I'm going to be showing something for you guys.
Okay?
So just.
How do I mention this?
Okay, I'm sharing the screen. Tell me if it's visible.
I hope it should be visible. Yeah.
Is it visible? Yesterday, this is what we saw, right? Yesterday we stopped with this entropy. And now I wanted you guys to recollect whatever we saw yesterday. Like let's say we saw some rhythm, we saw some, what you call balance. See, we saw some harmony, we saw some entropy. So symmetry is something which we all know. I will not ask you to do the activity because symmetry is pretty simple, but I'll just tell you what is symmetry. Okay, so symmetry is a principle where design elements are arranged identically almost in all the axis, like let's say in X axis and Y axis. It imparts the order of formality, order and balance. So using the rhythm, using the harmony, or using the entropy, can you guys construct one symmetric image, small even a sketch? Or you can show some image also which is showing a symmetry in a design where elements are arranged almost identical or almost on both the sides, same in the mean in the both axis, which is X axis and Y axis. It imparts a sense of formality, order and balance. Designs with symmetry have a mirrored or repetitive arrangement, creating a harmonious and stable visual experience. So this is one of the golden ratio concepts, I would say, if you guys wanted to really tap into the ultimate aesthetics, harmony, rhythm, all these things is one part symmetric and asymmetric is something which is mother of everything. You guys can also create a rhythmic symmetry, balance. You guys can also create an entropy, which is symmetry. Still, we can do it. Not a problem. Are you guys getting it or not? Symmetry can be applied in every way. Okay, so now think about the rhythm, harmony, what you saw yesterday. And then you try to bring one picture or element or sketch or anything which can represent symmetry out of it. Can we try it a few minutes? It often conveys a sense of tradition and classical aesthetics. Yeah, that's what the renaissance art looks like. Like let's say if people are looking at architecture like let's say Roman church and if you look at some of the European churches and other things, it's all symmetric architecture. Like you won't see anything which is asymmetric. Everything will be very symmetric in nature. But when you look at asymmetric, like let's say the movement is called Baruch. Like let's say we have a lot of art movement happened after the 14th century, 15th, 16, 17. There are a lot of cubism came and this Renaissance baroque. And then there is something called Neo.
What is it?
There is one more art moment came which is Neo.
New.
I could not, I mean I could not recollect the name of that. Okay, so many movements came but symmetric and asymmetric is something which is untouchable, which is basics of everything. So now can you guys draw one or maybe take one picture which is showcasing that. Can we try that symmetric which is representing that fast? Before we go into the figma, we will have to just understand these basics.
Yeah, it.
Interesting.
Okay.
Symmetry Punish. This is not perfectly symmetric. But that is okay. Symmetric Bengali patterns. Excellent. Aditi?
Correct.
Kaleidoscopic patterns. Excellent. Correct.
Correct.
Shashank. Correct. Example. Shivraj.
Correct.
Okay, good. So this is very simple guys. It's not a big deal. We can definitely do it. But can you draw something to represent balance? What is balance? Balance in design refers to the distribution of visual weight within a composition. So we used to see yesterday's harmony, rhythm and everything.
Right.
See you have. We have covered some of the major topics. But now these are like little bit detail so that you can collect the dots. How this is going to be together forming a visually beautiful aesthetics. Okay, this is not a big deal. This refers to a distribution of visual weight within a composition. It can be achieved through symmetric asymmetric arrangement to create stability in equilibrium. So when you're spreading out this like let's say, let's take an example of what dayal D. I'm 100% sure that is not symmetric here. Do you think that's symmetric? I thought we need to take a mixture of all three. Extra mixture of harmony symmetric. Oh, but the symmetric is not exactly coming here.
Okay.
Chitra, perfect example of symmetry architecture. You can see that the classical architecture right under Shivraj. Yeah. The butterfly is geometric. Aditi, I'm not able to view your image.
Okay, perfect, Perfect.
All of your rangolis are symmetric here. Wonderful. So the point here is certain things are making it to look like balanced. Certain things are making it look like balance.
Right.
Certain things are making it look like symmetric and asymmetric. So those elements have to be distributed equally. Then and only the symmetric balance will come. Or the asymmetric balance or whatever you're trying to say. Okay, so balance is one of the basic thing. A well balanced design distributes elements evenly preventing the composition from feeling lopsided. It ensures that no single element empowers the other promoting visual stability. See, are you guys getting it or not? The visual distribution of weights in all of the components. Ramra, this is good. But the view of the architecture what you're showing is not exactly symmetric. Yes they are. Now it's perfect. Symmetric. Symmetric. So symmetric are some of the basic, basic things. Guys, see if you guys are building anything like let's say see both balances even symmetric. Also there is balance. Asymmetric. Also there is balance. Okay, so symmetric balance. We all know like let's say equally organized and everything asymmetric is little tricky to understand. We will have to go little close to attend. We'll have to pay a little close attention to understand why it is asymmetric. Sometimes the screen will be filled with one third of information. But the other other 2 3rd will be filled with heavy information which is going to balance. You guys will see the balance in totality but not in parts.
Okay.
So when you play around with this you will understand Again it's all the visual field.
Guys.
There is no. What you call. There is no. There is no one or two ways or three ways that there is no methods or steps to achieve that. It's all about the visual weighing. How you guys see. See. Asymmetric balance is to achieve. Asymmetric balance is achieved when dissimilar elements are arranged to achieve equilibrium. Can you take one example of asymmetric balanced. Still it has to be balanced. But asymmetric. Can we all try? This is a little trickier example. One minute I'll give you guys try to find out.
Okay.
It introduces a more dynamic and contemporary field to design. See, that's what it's more contemporary asymmetric balance design often involves a strategic placement of contrasting elements to create balance without even mirroring. See, symmetry is all about mirroring. We simply close the eyes and do it.
But.
But this Approach allows for more flexibility and creativity in composition. Wonderful. This entropy asymmetry are very creative people who are touching this. You guys will touch the dimension in a far more different level. But you will have to be careful. Sometimes it will become very ugly. That is why you need to be very careful around it.
Right.
Onish.
Okay.
Maybe the one hexagon. What you can take is symmetric.
Okay.
That full is not symmetric. Ram, this is not symmetric here. Oh, the first one is symmetric. Wonderful. The second gray color is non symmetric. Wonderful. J perfect example.
But.
But see, I'm just opening JS example.
Okay, look at this here.
I'm just taking JS example. So when you split this line like this.
Okay.
Or when you split a line like this. Or when you split a line like this. Or even when you split a line like this.
Sorry.
Something like this.
I'm just giving you a heads up.
Okay, so we will have to try to assign the values here. Like let's say the weight here it is somewhat nine. I would say here it's somewhat eight. I would say because the colors is too much taking over there. Here it would be somewhat 7. Here it would be somewhat 8.
Okay.
Here when you take this half, it is adding more score. So that is why it is almost close to 10.
It is nine. Okay.
We can have something like eight. So of course it is little bit balancing. But we will have to add the scores. Like let's say here there are bigger lengths of blue available. So here we can add nine. Or maybe here we can try to add. Yeah, this is more stable. We can add eight. So we need to understand eight plus eight is what somewhat. I'm assigning score 16 again, nine plus eight, which is 17. So I can say to the certain extent it is X axis wise asymmetric. The balanced still the elements are distributed. But it's looking balanced.
Right.
But the elements are not exactly visually mirrored like how you guys saw the symmetric. Symmetric is very easy to do. Please understand that. Okay, so asymmetric is little tricky to understand. But you will have to look closely to get the clarity. Okay, so that is the thing. Asymmetric balances design often inverse strategic placement of contrasting element. You'll have to be very strategically doing then and only the creativity will come or else what happens is it will become very ugly. It will become so nasty people will not even able to connect with what you're trying to say. I've seen many people playing around with this entropy asymmetric and getting nasty. Like very ugly. The designs will turn up. Okay, so now can you guys look at this past? Can you guys look at this past? So everybody knows little bit about figma, right? Last week we saw little basic options in Figma. We saw these things. Okay, before I teach the five different different topics, I wanted you guys to choose anyone, okay, few. I've touched upon this. We touched upon rhythm, right? We touched upon alignment. We saw about that, right? We touched upon little bit of patterns as well, the repeating things. We touched upon hierarchy. We touched upon the repetition. We touched upon harmony.
Okay?
We touched upon balance, which is symmetrical and asymmetric. And what are these guys? Tell me symmetric or asymmetric? Tell me this one.
Symmetric.
You can open.
Yeah, perfectly symmetric. But.
One second, one second.
Yes, it is. It is. It is balanced. But if you exactly split the elements like this, See, I will tell you one thing perfectly. This is balanced. This. This elements.
No problem.
There is no doubt. But when you take this balance and cut it here, the visual weight is less. Here the visual weight is more. So this is not 100% balanced. It is 95%. 90%.
Okay.
When you take this balance and then you split the screen like this way, maybe the visual weight can be balanced here. So the way in which we draw the axis also matters a lot when you have to really think about balance, symmetry and asymmetry. Okay, so this is one way to see. And there is something called space. I think I have not covered upon this, but it's not a big deal because can learn it.
Okay?
A continuous area or expanse which is free, available or unoccupied. So there is something called positive space. There is something called negative space. What is mean by positive space here? Positive space is somewhat. We have covered some elements with this, right? Look at this. We have covered some elements. Okay, we have covered some elements. But this is negative space empty.
This is negative space empty. This is negative space empty. This is negative space empty.
This is also negative space, the small gap in between. So the moment you know how to play around with your positive and negative spaces, you will automatically know how to make it visually balanced. Visually symmetrical. Visually hierarchy, repetitive harmony, alignment, rhythm, everything will automatically come once when you start understanding this basic elements of design. Okay, so are we clear about this?
Guys?
Are we clear about this? Tell me. Yes. No, this is what is the entire thing, what we covered in the last few days, guys. Okay, so contrast is something which we can see in the color section. No problem. Leave that. That is. That is totally fine.
Okay?
Yes, Ramraj, perfect example.
Yes, yes, yes.
So now can you open your Figma screens? Everybody okay, I'm going to be giving you three to four minutes. Okay, take one element which is most favorite for you. Okay, Take one element. You guys can take this, you guys can take this as well. Like let's say balance, unity, contrast, rhythm, proportion, variety. So you can see this emphasis. Okay, Take any one element which is most most favorite for you and construct one frame in figma using the basic shapes or using the colors or gradients. Communicate one thing. Either you communicate rhythm or you communicate symmetry or you communicate asymmetry or you communicate balanced. If you are very well versed in the figma and if you are very well, very well versed in the aesthetics, composition also, you guys can create two or three words also symmetrically balanced, you can still create that. You can create a rhythmic symmetric balance. You guys can create that. But I would say if you're a fresher, start with basics.
Do one.
Is it fine? Can we try it out? Take some picture in the online reference or maybe you directly go into the screen and do it on yourself. There is no problem. But use the elements, whatever we have seen so far, like use the primitive shapes and structures and everything and try to do that.
Okay.
If you're very advanced in figma, you can also do advanced things. No problem. You can but try it out. But it has to adhere to this guideline. It should not be very different. Guys, are we guys getting it?
Fine.
Can I keep this slide open for some time? Will you guys take this? Fine. The time starts now. The time is 6:24 till 6:28. We will see what's happening. And meanwhile somebody can share their figma file if it is okay any work because I'm going to be teaching you certain options. If I start recreate recreating screen.
It will take time.
Can somebody show your figma file an option which is shareable? Jagdish, you can use this for.
Teaching.
Or maybe few examples. I'm going to be just teaching because the options and. And plugins and tools and techniques is important sometimes.
Okay. Yeah.
Can somebody share me in the chat box? That would be better. Any old file or old project port for anything.
Thank you.
Thank you guys. Is my background voice audible to you? Yes, audit is audible. What are you guys sharing? What are you guys hearing?
No.
Did you guys hear something in the background? Some song?
No. No.
That's what I'm asking. Okay then background noise is not coming.
Okay, fine.
There is a temple which is near me.
Okay.
Every morning this 5:30 they will start this. Ladies and other people, they'll go and do one puja in the morning.
Okay.
I wanted to ask you guys whether it's a rhythmic song or harmony. But you guys are not able to listen to that.
That's okay, fine.
Let's get back to the figma and do it.
Yeah.
Basic things.
Okay. Do it.
Yeah.
It.
Take this any element. If you guys are confused. Totally take this any element which is there in front of you. So it will be much helpful for you.
Okay.
Even if you guys are forgetting that you can try to use it again and create. Can somebody share your old file also? Figma. Maybe I can take from some of our students.
Is it okay? Yeah.
Time is up.
Come on guys. Yeah.
Can you just share the snapshot? That's enough. You don't. You don't have to share the full thing.
Yeah. Yes.
Thank you so much. I can take yours.
How do I sign in? Okay. Is it open access? Is there. Hold on just a second.
I'm not able to see anything. Punish here.
Where should I.
Punish? I'm not able to see anything in this file. Is it empty?
Why? Why?
Send me something which you already have. No. As a projects or something.
Thank you.
Yes, Shivaraj.
Yes. Yes. Yes. Okay.
Hey. But I asked you to do it in Figma screens the frames what you guys are building. No, show me in the frames what it is really symmetric or what it is asymmetric or something. Not in this picture. No, no, no. I did not ask you this. Guys, are we clear about the activity? It's not figma only. But you only crabbed the part. I just wanted to see if you're creating one onboarding screen or anything like that. How do you communicate rhythm over there. Any one example in your earlier project also you can take. I just asked you to do it in your earlier file also. That is totally fine. No, but.
No, no no.
Look at this is some access request is coming here. You give me. Give. See when you're sharing the files, please be little mindful. You will have to be sharing it with the complete access available for the.
People too view it.
Because many times HRS will not follow up with you.
Okay.
So you need to think about it.
Okay, fine.
Okay guys, listen to me. So I'll share the screen now. Meanwhile somebody can send me this and I will just start with this.
Okay?
Listen to me.
Okay.
So there are five features which we can learn in figma which will be definitely helpful. Some of the feature you guys might already know. But that's okay. So the reason why we are learning this skill is to speed up your design. Process, I already told you. See, because also with usage of the components, with usage of many options, shortcuts and keys and everything, so we guys can speed up our process. That's the major thing about Figma. Because day in, day out we've been using many prototyping tools and all. If we know certain options in that, it will be much faster. And also auto layout and smart selection. You're going to see smart selection and auto layout today, which is very important feature. You guys can learn. You can move, you can adjust, you can rearrange. That would be better for you. Okay, and also you can use certain plugins also which will help you to what you call increase your execution style very faster.
Okay.
And improves collaboration mastery of Figma stream Ranger. Okay, that's fine because when you are handing off to the developer, it is very important to, I mean detail it out all this reason, all these options or else they will be confused. There are plugins like design lint, where it will go and exactly find out what sizes you used, what color contrast, what are the accessibility things which you stick to your design. So these things will ease in your life. The productivity will go high for you. Okay, so the first thing is auto layout. So what is the purpose of auto layout? It simplifies the responsive layout and streamlines the adjustment. Okay, this is very, very simple. I will just show you how to do it. Okay, and the second is smart selection. You can also align many elements which are distributed across the screen and make it super sizable. You guys can try it out. And the third is advanced math in Figma. Like you guys can also use some kind of a mathematical features which is very, very simple. And also this will be much useful when some information is given from the client side where you will have to calculate only this crane with this dimension with the button sizes will be given based on the anthropometric restrictions at that point of time. You guys don't have to scratch your head much. You guys can just use this mathematical feature and do it. Okay, so let's see that now.
Hold on. Okay.
Hey, some option is coming. Okay, this deciphers figma.
Okay, fine.
Where do I take this?
Okay, fine.
So let me take this option. Guys, hold on.
I'm just sharing with the screen.
Okay, can you see my screen? So team has shared their work. Like let's say if it is already.
Created, that's good, fine, maybe if I have to.
What happened guys? Is it logged or what? Ask to edit. Hey, every problem is coming guys, please do give me option to edit it. That would be better. It's fine. I'll do it on my own.
It's totally fine.
Okay, like let's say if you're using basic shapes like this.
Okay, like let's say if you're using I given. Okay, fine, fine.
So I'm just showing you how you can able to use this alignment and everything. Okay, let's say if you're having multiple elements in your screen and other things, you guys can do one thing. You guys can select it, you guys can automatically do it. Can you see some option here? Nine dots. The moment when you put it, it automatically comes into some kind of an alignment. What happens after that is you guys can able to try to change it. Like let's say you guys can move the element. You guys can also space it. And this depends on how you wanted to do that. Like let's say previously these three dots were not like that, right? So when you select all this element you will find that three optimal that the dots available. Or sometimes the alignment will be there in horizontal vertical. You guys can try that. It is like when you are dealing with a complex shape like this. Like let's say, let's say if you're building a complex screens like this. If you wanted to do it very very faster. Like let's say okay, this has been arranged in some way. You guys can select it. Can you see this nine dots coming here? You guys can click that so that automatically what happens Some kind of a placement comes.
See, look. Look at this.
It is. It will be much easier for you guys to resize the elements and parallel when you go this left hand side. You guys can also try this option. Look at this. Like let's say when you're trying this dimensions is going up. Can you see it here? You guys can manually do it. Also like let's say I want 40 space. Sometimes your client will come and tell hey, we need only 30 between the sizes. Like let's say sometimes we need 45. Okay, sometimes. Okay, this is the size.
Fine. Sorry guys.
Yeah, in the. In the horizontal space I was doing it in vertical. So you guys can do it manually or you can change it. Okay, this is applicable for everything is even if the elements are totally disarranged. Like let's say if I have to go and take any option. Like let's say this option. Okay, this is already arranged. But I would say okay, this is already these people have arranged it. Any other screen which I can take which is not really.
Ah, this is okay.
Like let's say if you Guys are somewhat like this. It is happening.
Okay, something like this.
So now look at this. Just go and select everything. Can you see this option? Click it now automatically.
You will see it can be easily spaced.
When you're dealing with multiple components, doing the smart grid alignment will be much useful for you. It'll be much helpful for you as well. Okay, and the moment when you go to the right click. And also when you select this option called auto layout, what happens? It automatically forms a layout. So what is the purpose of auto layout? Can somebody tell me? Auto layout is a very simple feature in Figma. It is used when you are designing some kind of options which needs to be moved here and there. But the software tool is going to help you to align in a particular grid. Like let's say when you are putting some kind. Do you have guys icon or something? Can I take one icon from this?
Where do I take one icon? Where do I take one icon'?
Okay, let's.
Let's take this one.
Okay, let's take this one.
I'll show you guys a little simple one. Okay here.
If I have to create auto layout for it. Okay, look at this. What happened? Okay, maybe the element is separated. If I have to do it. Look at this what happened? I just did something like this selection and then I added to the auto layout. You guys can remove that also, no problem. The moment when you add auto layout to it, what happens is the software helps you with lot of options. Like let's say when the screen goes horizontal and vertical squeezing what this option does. Like let's say if you wanted to make this in a vertical way, you. You guys can do this. Can you see this arrow went down. And you don't have to manually resize it or do it because manually, if you try doing it, it will create a lot of chaotic movement in your screens. Particularly when you are designing a big, very big complex screens. Like let's say where we cannot have much of freedom to play around. You guys can use this auto layout which will give you a complete constraints in X and Y direction. Like let's say if you still wanted to keep it horizontal. Can you see this option? Direction plus gap. If you guys want to wrap up, that's also fine. Like let's say if you're having multiple elements like this. Okay, like let's say if you guys can click it. Okay, can you guys see it? Okay, can you guys see this? And also when you select this element and then when you like let's say yeah, like this. Can you see it's all. It's all horizontally arranged. It's all now vertically arranged. It's all wrapped up how you guys initially wanted, right? And still you can go and resize it manually, whatever you want. It's totally, totally fine. If you guys want to change it. Like let's say if you guys wanted to arrange this element, double click it, just move it. Maybe some mistake is happening. Maybe.
Okay.
The text needs to go high. All these things is possible, very much possible. Because you guys are playing around with this. And also you guys can keep an alignment for it. No jagdish. I wanted to keep it in the center.
Okay.
I wanted to keep it in the bottom.
Okay.
Now the bottom is not working because the reason is we have not created enough space. Can you see this center came and you guys can play around with your repetitive elements. So by using this, you guys can create some harmony. By using this, you guys can create some basic rhythm out of it. It's a very, very cool option.
Okay.
And the second like you can go very, very deep advanced in auto layout and other options. But as of now just try to play with this basic elements and. And try to bring rhythm out of it. Like let's say try to move it. Try to make it as a auto component layout and also play around with this option. How you guys are able to do it? Like let's say if you're showing some gallery option, if your guys are showing some picture options. Like let's say if you guys are showing this option. Like let's say I don't know whether people. People have already created a lot of layout for it. You guys can use this red arrow mark to put Prakash in the bottom. Wonderful, right? Simple. I think the team has already created. That's good. And also you guys can try. Okay. Kiran has to go this side and you guys can try it out. It's much easier as well. I wanted to move this entire thing. Okay. Something happened.
Okay.
I don't know.
You guys have.
Okay, you guys have still not added. It's just a smart grid movement. The moment when you add atto layout to it, you can see this option coming. Can you see this horizontally? All the options will go like let's say if you have the scroll down option like this, you guys wanted to keep it like this. You guys want to keep it wrapped. So when you're doing some linear arrangement in horizontal motion, you guys can use this option. The arrow mark in the horizontal, vertical, wrapped up. Or if you guys want to keep it in the center, you guys can do it and you can adjust guys whatever style you want. You guys can go and adjust it. See, you can see the preview, what's happening, included, excluded. And also you can add some padding to it. How many of you know padding? Padding keeps your content intact. That means if you edge the components too much, what will happen is it will look very ugly in your user experience. Like let's say if you're drawing any kind of canvas, imagine if you don't have columns and margins, how ugly it will look like. And also it will confuse the developer, also in what pixels he has to exactly develop. So when you create a padding which is very, very common and seamless across all of your options and buttons, it will help them to constrain all of your elements and they will be able to inspect it and they will develop it later. It is a very good rule of thumb to create five or ten padding that is normally recommended. You can also go beyond it, but it's how you wanted to do it. Okay, and the beautiful thing about what you call figma is there is an option to do some max. Like let's say if you guys wanted to do. Like let's say the client is asking, hey, I need half of this. What you will do, you will go to mathematics calculator and do it right. But you guys can do one thing here. You guys can put to enter. Can you guys see something happened? It's a, it's a simple feature, but it, it makes a lot of difference when you're doing it in the client work. The client will give you dimensions of the buttons, the client will give you dimensions of the screens, everything. So you guys will not be able to do it. Okay, I'm just changing it, guys, later you undo all these things now.
Okay?
And let's say if you wanted to change this option, like let's say, hey, the height, I don't want, I want it into multiplication. Like let's say 0.2 20, something happened. Can you see 30.8 20. You can't do a manual calculation. Or maybe you have to take the max. Like let's say you have to take. Sorry, you'll have to take the calculator and you'll have to do it and then you have to come back. Okay, you have to think about, okay, then 50% of to 100, how much? Or maybe 25, how much? Then you will do point zero calculation error, everything we will do. But here we don't have to break our head. You just have to click this, use this Option it's applicable everywhere. Like let's say if you wanted to. Minus 10, minus 15 see 114 it came. But anyway, sorry guys, I'm just changing everything. You guys create the older version of it. How do you go and create the older version of it? Can somebody tell me, say your friend is adjusting, maybe your teammate is adjusting.
Okay.
And he's making the entire screens nasty, which is going to go and make you a lot of time to go and rework on. Controls it, controls it, controls it. How do you guys manage the version? Can somebody tell me version history? Where to find the version history? Come on. Okay, like let's say if this kind of changes I'm making mathematically and also I'm moving here and there. But if you wanted to change the version which is like let's say 6:45, the time is there, right? Okay, 6:20 when you guys give me this file. How it was like that, I wanted that version to happen. See previously it was not there guys, previously we only rely on this Control Z and control Y. But now the Adobe XD or Figma or everything has a cloud storage. You guys can take minute by minute. Like let's say, I don't know minute by minute is possible, but I think the moment when I open that will create a second version of it. The moment when Dyal opens, the version 1 happens, the version 0 happens. Right? So how do you do that? I think the options has pretty much changed before sometimes. Like let's say I used to view that. Guys, can somebody help me? In Adobe XD what we used to do is we used to go and share this option. In the share option you guys can find something like a cloud. When you click that cloud automatically the version time wise comes like let's say 10:20, 10:15. Like let's say if I used another system in Windows or maybe if I used another Office laptop, it will show the device also along with you logged in in the windows you open this file at this time the version one is available. So Jagdish on the left hand side you see deciphers figma right? One second, close this dialog box. The drop down is there on decipher Sigma. Ah, yeah, yeah yeah. Thank you guys so much.
Yes, yes, yes.
Okay, where is the option? Hahaha, look at this. Oh, beautiful. I heard it came beautiful. But this is what I'm first time seeing wonderful in the Figma. I mean the Adobe xt it will be little different people are using that. See this much of autosave option is Also not there. It was a year, two, three years back. I saw that. Okay, this much of version is also not there. Provided this much of memory will also take from your system. You will have to use the very robust system or else you will not find many saving options. You will find only two versions. Sometimes it is very irritating for you because when you have two options, what happens? This person has changed everything. What should I do now? Then you will have to go and manually rework. But now Figma has made the job very easy. And version history is very, very important when you guys are building products after product like let's say your company asked for. Hey, in the version four, Shashank, I needed to take this option. It will be much easier for it to go and pick this and put it in. Automatically it comes. See, you guys can edit it, whatever, add the comment and then I told you about this call out feature. Also you guys can do the call out feature and change it. It's totally, totally fine. Got it clear. It's a very, very super option when you're collaboratively working in the team. So now it's a paid version.
Jagdish.
It'S okay, fine. I think the company will do it. I don't know if you have that many version histories that you can take from. I don't know if it is a paid version. You guys can use your company's credentials or maybe your company will definitely invest. Okay, try to use that. You don't have to spend your own thing because if this feature is going to be working for you, you can ask your management. No, you can ask your management and you guys can try it out. Okay, so what are the other option?
I was seeing?
So I was seeing another option called. Hold on guys.
Wait, what are the other option? Advanced features.
Math. I think I told you. But play around with this math, guys. It's a wonderful tool. Use this mathematical expression to divide, calculate, percentage, set, precise measurement. You guys can play around with this. Use any formula anywhere. You can use it in button size, you can do it in column resizing, everything. We guys can do it. Okay, and smart selection. I told you. Arrange element with a consistent spacing with alignment. And we guys can try it out with multiple elements. Try to do it with multiple elements. See, when you're having multiple elements, no, use the smart option.
Where is that? Huh?
Something like this? I don't know. Yeah, you guys can use it. See, horizontal something is coming. Try to use it. You guys can literally resize all the kitchen elements and make it into a beautiful Spaced element. You guys can try it out. And the other one, what I show you is auto layout. I think auto layout, I moved some elements. You guys can add icons, you guys can add pictures. You guys can use with the avatars. Whatever I've showed with the avatar also, right. These people have created so literally you can do it with anything. Not a problem. And the other option, what I was trying to tell you guys is. Yeah, I think boolean expressions we covered. No, it's a. You guys can create apart from this basic shapes by adding many elements. Like let's say if you guys are creating some kind of a shapes with.
This.
Let'S say how do I create it?
Like let's say if I have to add. Okay, this is over laser you guys have created. How do I go?
Okay, fine, I can go to this. Imagine. Okay, I'm just selecting this. Like let's say if I want to change this particular screen. Like let's say I don't want this particular rectangle, but instead.
I'll remove this for time being. Okay.
What happened here? The moment I ungrouped. Okay, you guys have repeated this component.
Okay, fine.
And I'll take one example, guys.
Okay.
Like let's say if you guys wanted to create some kind of a different unique shape using this, you guys can use it very, very complexly, right? Like let's say if you guys wanted.
To.
Subtract this one. I think the boolean shapes you guys can play around. It's like very complex shape also can do. You guys can create rhythm and harmony using this as well. Like let's say the moment when you select. You guys will see some option here. Where is that boolean meant? Ah, I think the bottom it will come, right?
Where is this option coming? Where is this boolean here?
Ah, here it has come. Can you see this here?
No.
The three dots. Okay, so what happens is union means it selects the two components. See guys, you need to first create your shape in your mind or sketch or something before you commit to the tool. Then you will be very clear what to play with. Sometimes you guys can create what you call totally organic shapes also with this. This is a beautiful tool because many times we won't be requiring only rectangles and circles, right? We will be requiring lot of other options. Like let's say if. If I have to create another color around it, maybe I'll try to create. Like let's say if you guys wanted to add. Subtract. Look at this. We can subtract it, right? Like let's say if you wanted to add something like intersect, I just wanted to intersect only this portion. You guys can have it.
Not a problem.
And like let's say if you wanted to union it, maybe I will. I will go about this.
Okay.
Maybe union will be much easier.
Okay, let's say.
Something like this shape.
Okay.
You wanted to show some kind of.
A feel like this here. Okay, cut out.
Go to this option. Subtract.
Look at this.
Something came right. So play around with whatever option you want. You guys can create one organic shape or use pencil and other tools. Pencil is really beautiful tool guys. But if you wanted to do very organic shapes, I would recommend you to do it properly in some Adobe XT means in Photoshop or Illustrator. And get this particular image here. Don't do icon design here, that's a waste of time. Okay, use the icons here to cut out some elements or exclude it or intersect it and try to create. And now this becomes a boundary. You guys can add boundary towards it. You guys can add the stroke towards it. See, look, the stroke will exactly come into the shape. Previously it was. It is very difficult to create a boundary like this. Right? So now you use the shape to cut out and create some boolean expressions out of it. You guys can use this option to create whatever you want.
Okay. Yeah.
And the other option, what I was trying to say. Yeah, some five plugins. I'll tell you guys. Okay, like let's say.
Yeah.
How many of you know this content tree? I think it's a beautiful plugin. How many of you know this content reel? Content reel is very simple guys. I'll tell you what is this? Like let's say when you're building some kind of a screens like this, you guys have already created it. So how do I explain you guys?
Okay, maybe I'll try to take this one.
Okay, again like let's say if you don't have Kiran's picture, if you don't have Prakash picture, if you don't have this what you call whatever, this audience picture. You guys can run this particular option. Maybe I'll take it for the other screen. So here I can take. Go to this plugin.
How do I put. Okay, manage plugin. Okay, content read many times.
This plugin will not work properly. But let's see. Content real. Okay, just run this.
Okay, look at this.
So this is a placeholders. Guys, when you're designing e commerce websites or when you're designing any kind of a name list or maybe phone list or maybe something like that, what happens is it will give You a lot of avatars. Can you see this? Guys, can you see this? Apply all you. What just happened? Okay, since I selected one frame, it is exactly coming on the full screen. Like let's say if I've selected this particular option. Like let's say this three option and then I applied. Look at this.
Maybe I'll go back. Okay, fine. So.
Select separately.
Select separately. It won't come into Julia.
Yeah.
Use command.
Okay. Maybe I'll have to ungroup it. Ungroup also I'll remove this thing. Okay.
Still it is in group. Use command to select the circle. I've removed all this auto layout here. Why it's still not taken out.
Yet.
How many times I'll ungroup here. Hey, now it's fine now I think it should still come.
Just select the circle.
Ah yeah, it's coming. You guys have grouped it like anything.
Okay, fine.
It has come inside the mic also.
Okay, I've wrongly selected it. But you guys can do. Okay, like let's say if you guys wanted to do it in an even more professional way. You don't want this avatar. You wanted some date to be filled. That's also possible. Like let's say if you're having a linear list of items where you are not putting pictures, you guys can do date, address, phone number. Literally you guys can do everything. No problem. It's based on your need. You guys can do. You can even use some text, you can use some image, you can use some icon. So play around with this. Even you can have some placeholders of logo. Can you see this? So it is possible to every extent. You guys can add icons. Let's say you wanted to use fluent icons.
What's happening? Huh? Hey. Huh?
Look at this. Maybe it's loading. Look at this. Where is this? Here you have exactly. I've changed something. Okay, fine. So what happens? This is showing something happened. Play around, guys. Okay, I don't know what is really going to be happening when you. When you choose certain elements and pictures and then when you add the icons to it, like let's say avatar, that pictures will come when you add to a list automatically the email ID and phone numbers will come. That much I know. But play around with this tool more so that you will understand much better.
Okay.
And there is one particular plugin. There is another plugin which I'll see which I'll use something called Squee that. I think this is a very, very cool plugin. You guys can try it out this. It will be a little fun also.
One second. Okay.
Like let's say where is your screen? Maybe where is the screen you can use? We are done with this part.
Okay, fine.
Maybe now if I take one or two screens it will be better. I thought ah, this is fine. You guys can go to this plugins. You can use this. Squee that. SG SK e w Squee that. So what happens is this one. This will produce you some kind of images like this. Can you see this? We can use it for presentation purpose or PPT or anything. You guys can try it out. If you try to keep it like let's say this way and you guys.
Can arrange it like let's say keep.
It like this way for representation purpose. You guys can take a screenshot or use it as a method to present your screens. You guys can try it out with this. Okay, but why not? It should happen for image also.
No?
Where is that image?
You guys have kept point me dial that image here.
Can I follow your cursor? Haha. This one, this one. I think it should come for image also.
Like no. Let's see.
Ah, image also is coming. It will definitely come. Okay, there is another plugin also because I forgot it because this keeps changing. Put one simple YouTube search, you will get it. So there are many presentational tools also available to do all these things. Okay, so this is one plugin and then next let's say if I wanted to create something else.
Reset, I will put you.
You guys keep it.
Okay, like let's say.
Everything you guys have put little black.
How do I image? Okay. Okay.
This is all frames, right? So there is one other plugin. Guys, listen to this.
Okay?
It's a very, very cool plugin. You guys can use something called Smooth shadows. How many of you know this? It's a wonderful tool. So what happens is this gives you a so precise arrangement of the shadows. When you're doing it with multiple layers, it will be very confusing. See how many of you know this keyshot software? Keyshot? How many of you know this keyshot? In fact this very high end rendering tools will only have this kind of an option. But these people have created. Can you see some depth changing in all of your components? Can you see group? You can do bulk. You can do. This is a wonderful plugin.
Okay?
And also the more layers you keep, the more variation and gradations you will get it. See can you see? You can move this field to whatever you want if you wanted to. If you. If you guys wanted to change this option. See Very, very super depth. Very dark shadow. You guys can change. And also you guys can offset it if you wanted to do it.
Okay.
And again, if you wanted to blur it, you don't want a jagdish. I don't want the a spotlighted shadow. I wanted to use a blur option towards it.
Okay. Hey guys, one second. Wait one second, one second, one second, one second, one second. Once again. Oops.
Okay, guys, mark your attendance also whenever you are going to the learning management portal.
Okay, maybe I just forgot. Okay, fine.
Where are the screens?
Yeah.
So are you guys following this? Are you guys following this?
Okay.
And also you guys can see this? Can you see this option? You guys can increase this intensity Also how you wanted to do. See each and everything. What I'm doing, it's changing. See manually. If I have to click it and do it, I'll have to go to the strokes. See this much of shadows have come. It would take a lot of time, right? I can do this in a bulk way by adding this kind of an option. And the beauty about this is select all these things. Okay, like let's say whatever you guys.
Did it so far. Okay.
Go to the option called Copy Properties if you wanted to replicate the same for this also last week itself I told you Paste properties. I don't know it came or not, but it will definitely come because it will become very hell. A lot of time for you to make the consistent elements going across the screen. So you can use components to reuse the elements. But the point here is sometimes you will do a precise arrangement for a particular button, like let's say a particular screen or a section so you guys can copy that. It is same like format painting in PPT and other tools. And then you can copy the properties and paste the properties again so that you guys will replicate it a lot. This will become very, very easy for you. Okay, this is one cool plugin. And also there is another plugin.
What I would say, what I would say. Hold on. Huh?
Content. I told you how many of you know Unsplash. Beautiful plugin. I really like this. Unsplash is a beautiful tool, guys. Because a lot of people are under using this particular software. I don't know why. Wonderful, wonderful. My favorite. I always take image and inspiration from here. And the beauty about this is you get a high quality image. Just drag and drop. That's it. You guys will get it. That's it. Look at this. If you guys want to drag and drop any image for your particular option, you guys can do it. Totally, totally fine.
See, look.
You guys wanted to. It will Embed it.
Also.
You have to select the frame. But you select the frame and you click it, it will embed it automatically. Embedded.
Yeah.
Super. Thank you. Unsplash has a beautiful image, guys. Seriously, it's a true artist. How many of you are using Envato Elements? Envato Elements, Unsplash, these are all. Sometimes it will be a paid tool, but I would say if you guys are investing on your education, pay for these tools and use it because you will get a premium version. Please note it down. Unsplash. Envato. Envato. You guys can use many Elements videos. If you guys are making some video presentations. If you guys are creating more repetitive elements, please try to use this what you call options. I don't know whether Envato Elements has a plugins around it, but yeah, you guys can try it out. I just told you, right? You guys can create a keyword search or maybe any kind of a theme search. Everything is available inside.
You use this. Okay. Yeah, you guys can try it out. It's.
It's very, very cool tool.
Yeah.
Now let's see whether plugin is there for Invato. I don't think Envato will be there. Oh, it's there, guys. Wonderful.
Superb.
But it will come only with the limited option. I would say you pay for the inverter. It would be really good.
Okay. See.
Subscribe for full access.
They have.
They have put a twist for you. It's very expensive. It has all the elements. Actually, you guys can literally do whatever you want and it'll all be wonderful. Guys like you will. You will never hate any of these things because it is all been used by many designers across the community in the design world. Creative people particularly. So that's why this Envato Elements is very, very beautiful. See, you can take. You can take whatever. Like let's say it would take hell a lot of time for you to create. If you're designing any dental icons like this, you guys can use it. See, I don't know.
Okay.
It is asking for account and all these things, but you can. You guys can try to integrate this. These are like some of the visual elements which you can try it out.
Okay. Okay.
Maybe the account is not connected. You guys can try it out. I have not tried this. Okay, so now let's go for the next plugin. Envato. I told you. Unsplash. Smooth skew that content. Wireframe designer. How many of you know this? Can you see something is loading? What would you like to design? Type out landing page for.
Right Check in.
Just click design. That's it. Can you guys see here something is happening. Shashank is laughing. If you would have told me this, I would have never learned any of this. And on top of that I will finish my portfolio tomorrow. Use this guys. There are many crazy plugins is available. Try to explore on your own. I can tell you a few. But go and explore on top of it. You guys can edit it. See if you wanted to add Shashank.
Like let's say Indigo, right?
Confirmation.
No.
Now use your creativity to play around. And also based on the client needs, whatever you want. You guys can. Don't change it. No, you guys can put Indigo logo or boarding pass or whatever you guys have designed to boarding password and use these components to rearrange. Like let's say how to go about it, select it and try to use that auto layout as well. And try to use whatever you want. I've given you a lot of options and other things. Try to use it with the elements, whatever you've created or if you're not satisfied, use another prompt and try to play around with this. Because these plugins will fasten up your work to execute the final delivery. Try out with this. Can we guys try a little option with all the options, whatever we have chosen and given you. Can you guys communicate rhythm, harmony and all these things using one or two screens? Can we try it out now? The time is 7:6. Can I take time till 7:15? Will you guys do it? Use any options, whatever we. Whatever we have shown now use plugins. Use this, what you call basic shapes. Use any good options, whichever you feel is comfortable. Don't use very complex options.
Okay.
And try to bring the best out of it. Let's see how you guys are doing it. Can you try. But try to have some meaning around it. Don't show random things. See I've shown you random things because I have to show you the options. But you guys create one or two frames which is meaningful. Showing harmony, showing rhythm. Can we try? Don't give pictures of the Google again. I wanted that snapshot of the entire frames properly.
Okay.
Hey, just take the older version. They all. I'm just closing the screen. I literally played with your screens and.
Sorry.
But anyway, thank you for helping me because if I take. If I use from scratch, it will take a lot of time for me. Thank you so much. We're done with this part. Actually you're done with this. You have a copy now of this?
I have.
Yeah, yeah, we made it. Our output is there and we can take from version history also not a problem.
Take care. Yeah.
Yes guys, so everybody can open Figma. If anybody is brand new jagdish I don't know how to even open Figma is somebody like that. I don't think people will be like that. If you guys are like that, you can go and watch the previous week Friday we've talked about basic options in Figma. Try to use that again. You come back here again, you can try more options over here. Okay, then we can try about rhythm and harmony. If you try to do rhythm and harmony without knowing anything in Figma then it becomes hell a lot of difficult.
Okay. Yeah, please.
What was the name of that wireframing plugin? Wireframe designer. Come on, have a session.
There is a lot of plugins.
Yeah, that's I don't know 100 plus plugins is there here recently I saw one plugin guys. Okay, you guys can even create the adaptive screens using that particular plugins and that. Did you know that plugin it makes a lot of the designers job very very easy because for designers this is a big problem to create adaptive screens for mobile tablet website. I think there is one plugin which I saw but the point here is you will have to input that plugin carefully with the data. If you guys are not inputting properly, what will happen is it will run nasty. It will. It will spoil all of your screens what you guys created. Okay, but use the plugins carefully. See, it is always not recommended to use plugins. I'll tell you why. Can you tell me why somebody. It is not always recommended to use plugins.
It is a third party thing. It can ruin at any time.
First of all, in your company nobody will allow that.
Okay?
Many, many robust softwares will not allow many plugins. Adobe XT doesn't have that much of plugin. But the plugins, whatever Adobe XD has, it is very robust. It will crash your system. It will create a breach for your organization. First of all, many organizations won't allow this kind of things in on top of it if you're using that's okay, maybe the organization has given you some freedom. But while developer uses this option to develop all these things no, he will feel much difficult to do it because you guys will do fancy stuffs but reality will be little difficult for him.
Yep.
Ideally to illustrate anything whatever we need.
That would be better here. Don't do. That's what I tell you. Don't do Photoshop and Illustrator in Figma.
Okay.
Use these pen tools and waste your Entire day in this Adobe Illustrator has lot of options nowadays Canva is there non designer tool. You guys can use that. And there is something called what you call logo generator. Icon generator. If you guys want to use a quick fix, please try to use that. Hot water has become cold water. Use all the options whatever we taught.
Okay.
Maybe if you're using additionally that's okay. No problem. What is this, Shashank? The people in internship would have been. No, no, no, no, no. Why would I tell you that? I will, I will. Even if I know, I will not tell you. Why don't you put it in public, Shashank, you're sending it only to me. I don't want to make them feel bad after they put so much effort. Then the exploration will not happen. Shashank, construct bits by bits, box by box, text by text. Then only you will learn that particular tool, right? Everything comes easy. What's the point in our course Also there is one particular video where I've taught 20 advanced plugins. Okay, it's not available for you. I've not activated that course for you. When time comes, I'll activate. I think last week Anju asked me some questions. Is Anju available there?
Okay.
For Anju. I've activated that again. I've logged it. Okay, you guys can try it out.
Yes, I have seen that podcast and that Sigma complete plugins it was there.
Use it whenever it's required. It's not mandatory to learn all the.
Plugins.
And this keeps updating. Guys, I did it six, seven months before. But now a lot of new plugins have come.
But that's why no FIGMA is coming out with its own AI.
So yeah, FIGMA AI saw that actually they're having some kind of a GPT feature inside where you could type something like this. It will automatically design one screens and other things. Right?
Particular if you it has color schemes. Everything is there in it is not been released to but it has been in thing. But again only if you know the basics of the things then you can you will be able to edit it again. It is. It is kind of a template. So it.
It. Yeah yeah.
Pick up from its own design system and Correct.
Correct.
We can use plugins as a starting point. If you don't have any idea where to place any elements that time you can use this plugin.
Correct? Correct.
Again, it is to use this discretion. Sometimes it will look very templatey.
Yeah, that's what. See the thing is Kanda, why I will not teach much of plugins and tools and other Things is people will be too much dependent on that. You will become handicapped over the time. What is mean by handicapped? What is gone? What is mean by handicapped? That should not happen in the design. That's why I make you do manually live. So that the. The hands on thing comes in with the people. So like, like, like, let's say if you're too much depending on this tool. No, See, tools will evolve over time. See, now AI is coming in in Figma already it was 5 years old story. But now only these people are building it in a more robust way. And also it is a paid version. It's not a free version, it's a paid version. Figma AI is a paid version, okay? And you guys will not adopt it. And some people will have the capacity to pay and they will create beautiful screens and you will create a very normal and then you will feel inferior. All these things is not the point. The major point is are you guys understanding the basic shapes? Entropy, rhythm, harmony, balance. If you guys know how to construct these elements and create a beauty around it, nobody can touch you. Because these are all primitive things in the nature. Tools will change. As Kanta said, tools will always come and it will always become. We will be dependent too much for starter. It is okay. But if you guys wanted to go more deep into design, I would say you, you understand the law of thirds. You try to understand the hierarchy, grid, visual elements because that is going to make you as a stable designer. The basics should be there. Because in. In my teachings and skills booster session also I teach primitive things. Even after 10 years, people come. This syllabus will be relevant for whatever I taught. But the Figma, whatever I taught will not be relevant after three months for sure. Because as a content creator, I was so told by my coach and mentor that create content of 80% value, which is more of classical things in nature, it will not change over time. 10 or 20% I can create some trend. This Figma hacks. This kind of what you call five hacks to do this, six hacks to do. Have you seen any? I will never use this kind of words. Even if I use 10, 20%, I'll create content around it.
That's it.
Because it will fade over time, new things will come, okay? I wanted you guys to become that kind of a person. Then what happens? Your basics will be untouched and people will ask you hey, can you make the screen look better? And you will know exactly what to construct, what to reconstruct. Use harmony, rhythm, entropy, balance, symmetry, asymmetry. People won't touch you. That's what I want. Okay, Kanta, are we clear? Are you also in the same line?
Yeah, same line. So one thing I wanted to add is that if you are using plugins, it will create auto layout. If you do not know what an auto layout is, then you will not be able to edit it or when you are editing it, it will go wrong. It will be very big.
Correct.
And there are other category of people.
Also are strong and you are using plugging, then that is a different case.
Good.
Yes, the ease of cake. So you have basics, you know what auto layout is or what where to align or what is the constraints are so those. I mean all the softwares. I learn a lot of software through connections only. So if you take the basic principles are same. If you take auto layout, auto layout maybe same in Figma, same in some other software that comes around another five years.
Or the concept is the same, right? Because we are going to have a responsive screen and adaptive across all the things.
The naming also will be industry standard. So whatever you have thought about Boolean again, Boolean. If you see it is there in Illustrator, it is there.
Shop it is there and use one Adobe tool. Guys, you guys can use many Adobe.
Tools options, not even Adobe tools. Even in Canva you have Booleans. Even in other things you have Booleans.
Correct.
Chain of tools. You just can find the common options over there, right?
Once you are basic, very simple.
I will ask you one question, Kanda. What does that mean? You just said, right? One option is there in many, many tools. What is the psychology name?
I would say familiarity or something you are asking in.
It's called learned behavior. Yeah, because if you create an application which is like, let's say tomorrow Kandasam is building some software called Kygma. Kanda Kygma. Okay, let's say Sandha is becoming a software designer. And then he wants to use this for designers community and he want to beat Figma.
Okay.
If he is building a tool and options which is very different from Photoshop and Illustrator and Figma, people will never use that tool. Kanda has to understand.
Yes, Kanda, very simple example. Take your text edit, right? Whatever software you use, you will have a left aligned, center aligned and a right aligned.
So beautiful.
Wherever you take whichever software word, Photoshop, even any advanced, even AI enabled, if you consider a text only these options will prevail. Yes, there won't be any other.
Because we've been ingrained in our brain with the learned behavior like that. If Kanda is coming up with a different option. Like let's say, like let's say diagonally align or something like that. People will be confused. What the. Who the hell has designed this software? I wanted to meet that guy because it will be a new learning curve for the user. So you are unnecessarily troubling your user in your design team. Also, many times I've seen Kandab this developer and all the people will try to create, let's say will create a unique application. Will create a unique design. The moment when you go unique, what happens? People will throw stones at you. They will not understand what you've created. Like let's say you guys are also designing financial application.
No?
If you don't use certain repetitive icons, what financial application has, it will be much confusing for you to transact the money. Like let's say if you use sbi, if you use HDFC access, if the financial applications icons are not uniformly aligned, or maybe if it is not, if you are using any kind of a different currency icons for that, it will be very confusing for you. You will be scared to use that ui. Am I right, Kanda?
Yes. Yes, definitely.
And I see in your screens also Kanda, like you, you follow that conventions. I think you're. You're by the default that, that, that, that what you call. I can see some body language in you in your designs. I'm saying, okay, your design body language. So that is already there. You are using that tools and then you're able to get that consistency across all of your visual elements. So that will come over the time. Guys, Kanda has gathered some experience. But it will not come on the day one. It will come over the time. And then if you start using it again and again and again. And also I will be very careful here. There is a flip side here also Kanda, there would be some people who would. Who would want to.
Who want.
Who want to become a researcher. Who wants to become a researcher? Think about that.
Okay?
If you wanted to become a researcher, then you don't have to learn all this. There is a team to execute it.
Okay?
You don't have to learn all these things. You can, you can use the teams. Guys, one minute.
Guys. Okay, one minute.
And this. Actually I have a doubt. Like by using this auto layout, sometimes what you have is like the options are getting grouped automatically. I don't know why it happens.
What options are getting grouped automatically?
Like what I faced in my case study while I was preparing that. It was like I had a ideation diagram like the design Process diagram. It got automatically grouped with the other screens or something like why again what.
Be careful in your selection. So whichever thing you are selecting that will get grouped. Okay. You would have selected by mistake. You would have selected some other options. So that would have.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Like and another thing, when I added a picture from the unsplash or whatever the illustration I provided it, it went into that like see it. It is under. Under that group where I have written about that.
We will take it up separately. I will definitely guide through your. Because people are here will not understand what you are talking. First of all, without an example or without a sample it is.
Aishwarya needs a co pilot near her. He has a lot of doubts Every time that copilot will be acting as a clone and then it will answer all of the questions. The clone will become even more intelligent before even Aishwarya asks about it's going to clarify the dots.
Please develop soon so that I'll be your test.
We are building as I already shared you an example, right? We are already building. Don't worry, it's coming.
So Jagdish, what I was trying to express is somewhere. So now in the screens when you pull down that action so it refreshes the screen. So that was a new interaction. Correct again interactions. And it became industry standard now. So whatever software you are using instead of a refresh button for in a mobile, in a touch device, now we are just pulling it down. So when you pull it down so it is getting refreshed.
Correct.
So again it is not that we have to go with the industry but.
You can create new also no problem. But make sure the cognitive action of the user, the mental models of the user should be understood. And then you develop from that. You create a new pattern that means see people will not be able to connect with that thing. Let's say the same refresh option, you're trying to build it with a different way of doing the refresh. Like let's say if you scroll up like let's say refresh is going to happen. Maybe you create an option. Exactly volta upside down. People may get little confused how to refresh. Because the moment when you scroll up what happens? The option scrolls down, right? You get little confused. So you should not deliberately use the things which has already been learned by the user. You have to use something. Maybe I can create one small option where if I click the entire screen will pop up and it will off. It will become white and black so that the refresh happened. Maybe that interaction also you can bring. You don't have to always use the bouncy effect. You can, you can create the scroll down, you can put the arrow mark. No refresh option. Maybe you can just switch up the screen and bucket so that the refresh also happens. And also many times you will have to talk with the developers. Kanda, Kanda, I would request you to sit with a lot of developers because we can talk all these options fancy. But when you go and talk to developers, developer will come up with hundreds of issues. The moment when you use this refresh options, there are hundreds of things in the backend which will ruin the software. Many times apps will crash. Many times the option will not show properly. See still in our learning management portal design for change app we are having a lot of issues. We are still fixing that even it's a very solid framework what we built. But the thing is we are still improving. Last two weeks also we did one version of that. They used to continuously ask me. Still the Magna is facing some problem. Somewhere the problem is happening. We guess can talk about refresh and all these things very easily. But we never know what is really happening in the backend. So you will have to get a concurrence with your developer as well as your design system, your teams. And then you guys put the graphics, it will become more relevant. And now the job is getting very easier guys, day by day because of the AI tools integration and the seamless design system which is being used by organization across the industry. So you guys will have to thank the technology. You guys have to focus on the design elements, psychology of the user interaction, why it is coming. Then all these things will be sorted and taken care of step by step in an automation manner. So imagine the days of CorelDRAW. Kanda have used CorelDRAW.
Yeah, I have used classical designer Kanda. I have used whatnot, a lot of things.
Photoshop, Coral, Draw.
Yeah.
So think about now how it is there. Have you guys used this Adobe Firefly? Yeah, Adobe Firefly and Adobe Sensei that.
Is renamed to Adobe Firefly. So adopt. Sensei is the engine that Adobe has.
I have not used this, guys. I've heard it's a wonderful feature in our company also they gave the demo. Oh, Sensor is an engine.
Huh?
Sensor is an engine. So that will be baked into Photoshop or any other tool that they have. So that is their AI engine.
See, I'm. I'm thinking one thing. Okay, 2030. No, first of all, there is no option for somebody to Do Figma also? I don't think Figma will be there. It could have been already been taken over.
It's also evolving. So there is a lot of AI.
Tool itself will go. I am saying, I mean the entire workload. Like let's say people are calling themselves as a visual editor or UI designer or something like that, right? The role will get automated. I'm saying the role will get automated because majority of the things developer can do it in a half way. Like he will also do it. Designer will do this as a side work or maybe one option, one click with the minimal inputs. That's it. But design thinking methodology is very difficult to automate. That is why design thinkers are always needed in the industry. Design thinkers cannot be automated. Even if the AI comes, somebody needs to really operate that AI.
Right?
The design thinker needs to operate the AI. Then only we can give the relevant information and everything. Tools will be like your masters, mean like your slaves. Tools will be like your soldiers. They will go and execute the work if you providedly give the right instructions to them. Many, many, many departments are getting automated. Particularly sales and marketing people. Or your insane level of AI automation is already happening. It's good this in design. Nobody has even put the eyes into it. Can I tell you why? Because there is no money in this. Marketing and sales has huge, huge, huge, huge cost. I'm working with the marketer, you know how much tools he's telling me? I'm taking lot of learning from this guy. I don't even know this much of tools even existed. Because marketing and sales with sales deals with a lot of business and other revenues, right? People will be more interested to optimize the cost process. Money, savings, everything in the business front more than in design. Imagine guys, if these things are getting automated slowly that I will slowly the technology people will turn to the designer side also. Oh, you guys are using this much of tools. Let me bring one tool. This is going to automate the entire design process. Maybe somebody else can come. But don't get scared away if you guys are understanding the thought process, design thinking methodology, whatever tool comes, nobody can.
Touch one point here. See again, whatever.
AI.
My my perspective. AI is a fancy term for what I would say is templatization.
That's it.
Okay.
Whatever you are feeding to the system, it will throw out. So it is very similar. Like any blueprint of house. If you say you have two, you want two bedrooms, three bedrooms, it will sketch according to it. But end of the day, the imagination of human is a different thing. Correct.
Correct.
Correct.
How it will come is in our hands. What we want to create is in our hands.
So that's what this Jensen Hume also Nvidia.
Even if automation See, I would say we are very far from that. For AI to get to that human emotions. Design is an emotion for to me, according to me it is an emotion.
Correct.
Even marketing and other stuff without design they cannot do it right.
Business of course they can't do.
There are a lot of things that.
We can't predict the future. It is really accelerating in a different way.
Accelerating in a very huge space.
Huge space. But we'll have to know how to. How to be a massive value adder. That's what me and. Me and Kanda are trying to say. You will have to. You have to know how to play this game. You'll have to know how to enjoy this game and how you can able to rule this. See, I'm also putting a lot of things in the webinar and also I'm teaching inside the course, inside the program, everything. Because certain things are needed, certain options are needed. The AI tools. Because we have to become good at it. Then only we can able to understand the trend what's happening again. Don't be trend rider. Understand and use it to trust to reach your goal. The goal is important. Finally what is your objective? As it matter or not. That is what we have to think about. Rest is all stories. Okay guys, we are coming to the end of the session. It's 7:29. The call is going to automatically end. Please go and mark your attendance. Two minutes is there. And please share your works of figma. I totally forgot to ask you guys. 10 minutes extra. You guys took. I want super output now. Share it with me in the group guys in the common group. Please share it with me in the common group. Please, please do it fast. Before this call ends. I wanted to see whether the class has been really penetrated into you guys or not. Can you do that?
Fast, fast, fast.
Can you do that? Can you do that? Can you do that?

Nagpur is for this. Oranges.
Right.
Oranges. Super. I just tried this. Those figma file. I'm very much new. I use XT still. That's okay. No problem. Yeah. It doesn't matter. You use Photoshop also. It doesn't matter. But. But implement these things and show it to me later. You can watch this course attendance also I am not getting. I'm just. Go to the feed section. Learning management system. Refresh the portal. Go to feed.
Okay.
A learning management system is also new. I need to explore. Okay. I will put you the link.

Yeah.
So that it will be helpful for him.
Yes.
Interestingly. Did you develop this now?
Not now, not now.
I thought you were talking to me. How did you develop this parallel? You have two hands or something. You're developing this side and then you're talking. Really good. Really good. No, this is really good. I. I like your work. I can see that. This content reel have you used for creating the name list, right?
Yeah. Superb.
Guys. Look at the Kandas picture. That's the best use case of content reel. You guys can use that.
Okay.
And also the options, the icons, the numbers, the placeholders. Content deal is a beautiful plugin. It will. It will ease in many of your work.
Okay.
Try to do that.
Okay.
That's great. That's great.
Superb.
Okay fine guys, just talk to the people. Neetu, you also Aditi, if you guys are new relatively, try to use the learning management portal link. Try to log in, start connecting with our people. People are ready to help you guys provided you aren't bogging them too much. List on your doubts. One go and ask them. You can also reach out to me, no problem. And people who have not yet got the one to one with me after completing the code is please reach out to me.
Okay.
I will be doing a rapid one to one from Monday because two, three days I'm also tied up with some other work because this final Friday is going in. Many people are also making an inquiry. I'll have to talk to them. So from Monday I'll go rapid one to one with you guys. Don't worry. But the only what you call requirement is complete the Section 4 Codex and then bring on a one to one. People have already completed one to one, complete the six bonuses and go for the second one to one people are at the job special. Once you've completed the second one to one then the third one to one is going to be a game plan for you. This is where your job search process happens. By the time you come to the third one to one you would have completed one or two projects and you would have completed the silver level courses.
That's it.
From there full bang on you guys are going to go for the job application process. That's one information. The second is talk to your team. Ask them to submit the work before Sunday in the hackathon session. Because Tuesday we are going to have something extraordinary which is going to connect the entire dots of this hackathon in the year end and we're going to have. You guys are going to have a blast in that session please. Please make sure you guys are completing all the works before Sunday and submitting in the Portal to get 2000 points. The last mission will open up for you. I'll open and then I'll let you.
Know what to do.
Please tell your teammates also whoever is not active, just motivate them. Tell them whatever is there, don't motivate. Tell them to write goals automatically. They'll get motivated.
Okay?
Ask them to do valid determination process first. You guys do value determination process before going and telling other people.
Okay?
And automatically they'll get in track and connect with me if you need any doubts.
Okay?
And Tuesday, guys listen to me. Tuesday there is one more industry coming. This is a really stable industry.
Okay?
It's not just interns. They wanted a full time designers as well. So everybody can participate in the design task. And this is a very medium scale company. Guys blow with a huge value and skills. Whatever you guys got, surely they'll hire you. Surely they'll hire you. This is a. This is a wonderful opportunity and this also is a good opportunity. What Pujita has given. Now let's see who's getting hired and what's the feedback. Let's see.
Okay.
And the next week is going to be even more amazing. And from january first week, guys, your job search process should start. Because new people will be onboarding. They will also be participating in hackathon. You guys also participate. There is no restrictions. But you guys have to implement these things to a job search parallel. Because every 90 days you should reinvent yourself and start applying for the job.
Yeah.
You can attend multiple hackathons, but results should come. You get 6 LPA, 10 LPA, 15 LP a job and participate in one more time. Add more value. Lead the team.
You.
You learn your leadership level skills. Lead a team. You can lead two teams. You can lead three teams as well. Be a guy who can manage the team and give allocate work. Execute it. If you can able to do the work in seven days. Be a leader. Execute the work in four or five days. Develop that leadership skill because you have the grounds to play here. And then you can apply for the lead role and increase your salaries and value and everything. So use this platform carefully so that it's a great advantage for you.
Okay?
I wish you all the best guys.
Take care.
Connect with me if you need any doubts.
Okay? Bye bye.
Take care.
Take care. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
