What happens if I don't get my fibre blankets tested?
As the business owner or the manager of the business, it is your obligation to ensure that those fire assets are being maintained. If you didn't do that, obviously insurance claims potentially wouldn't pay out as well as there could be criminal charges or civil charges brought against you for not maintaining that compliance. Especially if there's an incident that does occur.
Okay, so what's involved in fire blanket testing?
We make sure that the fire blankets are correctly stored, they're easily accessible, properly labelled, and that the blanket and the case is clean and undamaged.
And how long does it take to test one of my fyre blankets?
Yeah, so it only takes a few minutes per blanket, so it's quick and it ensures that the workplace stays compliant.
That's great. Will I get a report? Absolutely.
You'll receive a full report on every fire blanket that's been tested, as well as a certificate of compliance that shows you the test date, the next due date. Perfect for any audits or safety records.
What if my fire blanket fails inspection?
So if it fails, we can remove the failed fire blanket or replacing it with a brand new compliant one.
