Short YouTube reaction by Jarrad Goulding discussing common electrical inspection failures: rodents chewing through cables and unsafe mounting of power boards (screwing through electrics). He explains why rodents chew cables and warns against drilling screws through power boards, recommending using designated mounting inlets.

Every time I see this one, it makes me laugh. Yes. Love this one. That looks like, to me, it's rodents. That is actually rodents chewing through the cables, which is more common than what you would think. They like the warmth, they like the heat that comes out of it. And they sit there and they chew, chew, chew, chew, until they obviously get through to wire, and then they can't chew anymore because I get a bit of a zap, or a pretty big zap. I remember this job. I actually remember this job. You definitely don't want to drill a screw straight through the power board into a wall to mount it there, if you didn't know on the inside of those power boards there's electrics in there. If you're screwing a metal screw through that, if you hit any of those live wires and someone touches that screw, they're going to get electrocuted. On the back of every power board, there's inlets you can put a screw in and you can put the power board on and bolt it on, and then it doesn't come anywhere near any of the electrics.
