Shaun Goulding explains why termite and timber pest control requires its own license. Termite work is complex with no rulebook, covering wood-decaying fungi, borers, and termites themselves. The specialized training and licensing exist because the work varies too much to fit standard pest control rules.
And then there's a timber and termite pest control license. So that's another licence altogether that's required to be able to perform treatments and services in and around timber and termites. There's wood decaying fungi that can attack timbers, there's wood borers and then there's termites. So termites are the main issue in around timber and termite licensing. Yep. So that's what you deal with on a day to day basis in and around that. So a very specific license, because it can be quite an intricate and a difficult thing to learn in regards to termites, because there is no rulebook with termites. Every job can be different. So it does require a specific license to learn about those.
