Short excerpt from a YouTube video by Jarrad Goulding in which speakers discuss huntsman spiders. The speakers assert that huntsman spiders are not venomous, note that their large/hairy appearance makes some people dislike them, and emphasize they act as informal pest controllers in homes (some people keep them as pets despite being “a bit spooky”).

So, Sean, what about huntsman spiders? Are they venomous? Do we like them? Yeah, definitely not venomous. A lot of people don't like them because of the way they look. Big hairy spider. But they actually get rid of a lot of insects inside of home, so. Actually a bit of a pest controller themselves, I suppose. So not a bad thing to have around. Free pest control. Free pest control. A bit spooky, though. People keep them as pets. A little house spider that gets rid of all the flies for them at home. Okay, nice.
